In The name of God. Amen. I Ann Earl of Headley Otherwise Heathley in the County of 
Southampton Widow being in Good Bodily Health and of Perfect Sound Mind Memory 
and Good Understanding Thanks be given unto Almighty God for the Same Do hereby 
make  my Last Will and Testament In Manner and form Following that is to say First I 
resign and Commit my Soul into the Hand and Protection of Almighty God and my Body 
I commit to the Earth to be Decently Buried in a Christianlike and Decent Manner at the 
discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named and as for my Worldly Estate and Effects I 
give and bequeath and Dispose thereof as followeth. First I will and Direct that all my 
Just Debts and Funeral Expenses be paid and Discharged as soon after my Decease 
as Conveniently may be done Also ~ I Give and Bequeath to my Son John Earl One 
Chest all my Winnowing Tackell all my Planks and gates and Ladders and Rattles and 
one wheelbarrow, Two  ~ stone Hogtroughs all my sives and Anderlers (?) and all my 
Sacks Except One of the  Best which I give to my Executrix herein after named. I also 
Give and Bequeath to my Daughter  Ann Earl the Sum of Ten Shillings and Sixpence of 
good and Lawfull Money of great Britain. I also give and bequeath to my daughter Ruth 
Howick Five Shillings of Good and Lawfull Money of great Britain. Also I give and 
Bequeath to my daughter Anna Adams the sum of Five Shillings of Good and Lawfull 
Money of great Britain all which Legacies my Will and Desire is shall be paid by Either 
or both of my Executrixes within Six Months Next after my Decease And Further my Will 
and Desire is that I do hereby Nominate and Appoint my Two Daughters Sarah Earl and  
Mary Earl to be my Two Executrixes Joyntly Giving them my Said Two Daughters after 
they have discharged all the Above Given Legacies all the rest of my Outdoor Stock 
both live and dead Stock and all my Indoor Stock and money and all other effects 
whatsoever Equally to be divided between them my Two Executrixes Sarah and Mary 
Earl and I do hereby revoke and make Void all former Wills by me herebefore made and 
do Declare this and this Only to be my Last Will and testament. In Witness Where of I 
have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Fourteenth day of October in the Year of Our 
Lord One Thousand and Seven Hundred and Sixty Seven ./.

testatrix to be her last Will and Testaament in the presence of us who have Subscribed

May the 21st 1786 Sarah Earl one of Executrixes within   written Will was duly sworn 
well and faithfully to administer and that the goods chattels and Effects of the Testatrix 
at the time of her death did not amount in Value to (twenty pounds deleted) One 
Hundred Pounds as she verily believed ~ saving the right of the other Executrix 
wheresoever she is
