IN THE NAME OF GOD  Amen  I William Earle the Elder of Binsted in the County of 
Southampton Husbandman being of sound mind and memory and understanding 
(thanks be to Almighty God for the same) Do hereby make my Last Will and Testament 
in Manner following (that is to say) ffirst I refign and commit my Soul to the hand and 
Protection of  Almighty God my Mercifull Creator and my Body I commit to the Earth to 
be Decently Buryed at the Discretion of my Executrix herein after named and Appointed 
and as for and concerning my Temporal Estates I dispose thereof in Manner following 
(that is to say) ffirst I will Order and Direct that all my Just Debts and ffuneral Expenses 
be paid off, and Discharged as soon after my Deceafe as reasonably it can be done 
Also I Give and  Bequeath unto my son William Earle ffive shillings of Lawfull money of 
Great Britain Also I give and Bequeath to my son John Earle ffive shillings of like Lawfull 
Money Also I give and Bequeath to my daughter Mary the wife of William Spizyer the 
like sum of ffive shillings like Lawfull money Also I give and Bequeath  to my Daughter 
Jane the wife of John Greenwood  one shilling of like Lawfull money Also I give and 
Bequeath to my Daughter Ann the wife of John Knight this same of ffive shillings like 
Lawfull money Also I give and Bequeath to my son Edward Earle the sum of ffive 
pounds like Lawfull money Also I give and Bequeath unto my Grandson John Earle son 
of my son John Earle the same of Ten pounds like Lawfull money All which said 
Legacys above mentioned to be given and bequeathd my will is shall be paid to my 
Legatees respectively or their Legal and Representatives respectively within six 
calendar months time from my Deceafe Also I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter 
Elizabeth Earle fforty shillings a year like Lawfull money to be paid her by Quarterly 
paym:ts in Equall portions from my Deceafe from time to time as Long as the said 
Elizabeth shall continue and remain Single and Unmarried but no longer Also I will and 
require my Executors to provide for the said Elizabeth all necefiarys for her subsiftence 
and maintenance from time to time from my Deceafe so long as she shall remaine 
single and unmarried and no Longer the afores.  fforty shillings a year to ffind her 
clothes And I Give and Bequeath to my wife Jane Earle and my son Thomas Earle All 
and Singular the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Goods Chattels Rights Creditts 
Effects and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever after my Debts and Legacys 
and ffuneral expences are paid and satifyed To Hold the said Residuary Estate unto the 
said Jane my wife and Thomas my sd. son Equally between them and their Legall 
representatives respectivly share and share alike And I hereby Make Name and Appoint 
the said Jane my wife Executrix of this my will during her Natural Life And my said son 
Thomas Earle Executor here of for the residue unperformed at her Deceafe And I 
hereby name and appoint my said wife Jane Earle and said Thomas Earle Overseers of 
this my Last Will and Testamt. and desire to see that this my will be duly and truly 
performed and I hereby revoke and make void all former and other wills (Except this by 
me) at any time made In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 
Twenty fourth day of October  in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and

William Earle the Testator as and for to be his Last will and Testamt. in the presence of 
us who by his Desire and in his presence and one of another set our names as
