In the Name of God Amen. I John Earle of Crookham in the parish of 
Crondall and County of Southton yeoman being in good Health and Body and of 
Sound and perfect Mind and Memory Praise be therefore given to Almighty God 
do make and ordain this my present Last Will and Testament in manner and forme 
following (that is to Say) first and principally I comment my Soul into the Hands 
of Almighty God hoping through the Merits Death and Pasion of Saviour Jesus 
Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and to inherit 
everlasting Life and my Body I commit to the Earth to decently Buried at the 
discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as touching the disposition of all 
such Temporal Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give 
and dispose thereof as followeth. First I Will that all my debts and funerall Charges 
Shall be paid and discharged. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinsman John 
Earle  Son of John Earle of Tisted ten shillings if it be demanded. Item I give and 
bequeath unto John Earle Son of John Earle late of Farnham ten shillings. Item I 
give and bequeath unto my kinsman John Earle of Frensham Ten pounds. Item I 
give and bequeath unto Peter Barnard of Aldershot five pounds. Item I give and 
bequeath unto Anne Crenston of Tisted widow five pounds. Item I give and 
bequeath unto William Matthew of Binsted ten pounds. Item I give and bequeath 
unto George Matthew of ?Twoneth ten pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto my 
brother in law John Frost ten pounds. Item I give and bequeth unto my  Sister in 
Law Mary Stent ten pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinsman  John 
Chaundler of Crondall son of Richard Chaundler five pounds. Item I give and 
bequeath unto my kinswoman Anne Chuter the wife of Thomas Chuter of Farnham 
five pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Sarah Beldham of 
Farnham five pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Rebecca 
Beldham of Farrnham five pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman 
Rachel Beldham of Farrnham five pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto Daniel 
Goodyer son of Thomas Goodyer of Froyl ten pounds. Item I give and bequeath 
unto my kinsman Robert Smith two pounds. Item I give and bequeath unto 
Elizabeth Piat wife of Thomas Piat of Medhurst five pounds. Item I give and 
bequeath unto my kinswoman Grace Aslet five pounds. All which sumes above 
bequeathed my Will is shall be paid within one year after my decease. Item I give 
and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Jane Earle my Colledge lease held from 
the College of Corpus Christi in the University of Oxon and all the rest of my 
Personal Estate Goods and Chattels whatsoever I do give and bequeath unto my 
loving wife Jane Earle full and sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament 
Making void and revoking all 




other wills formerrly by me made in Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand 
and Seal this fifteenth day of September Anno Domi 1714
