Jane McCue - Miss Woking 1976

 Miss Jane McCue, aged 17, was the Carnival Queen for Woking's seventh Whirl, in July 1976.  Her two attendants were Jennifer Harvey, and Angela Meredith née Jones (having married between the competition and the carnival).  The ladies were dressed for the day by Susan Gay and were allowed to keep the dresses.

Jane beat 17 other finalists to win the competition, for which her prize was a travel voucher which she planned to use to visit Paris.

After completing her schooling, Jane trained to become a doctor, graduating from St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1980.
