Julia Ann Bolton - Miss Woking 1988

 17-years old Miss Julia Bolton, a dance & drama student, of Send Marsh, was the Carnival Queen for Woking's nineteenth and last Whirl, in July 1988.  Her two attendants were Amanda O'Reilly and Sue Robertson. 

To claim the title, Julia beat a record 70 entrants and 22 other finalists.  Her prizes for winning were: £350 in cash, £250 towards a holiday for two from Britannic Travel, a case of champagne from Victoria Wine, 10 driving lessons from Autopass School of Motoring (learner or advanced), a meal for two at Cloche Hat restaurant, Chobham, two tickets to see Phantom of the Opera, a £30 voucher to spend at Casa Lee, Horsell.
