Kiln Lane Mead is a name applied to two fields.

The first was a meadow of about one and a half acres, situated on the north side of Kiln Lane, near Pound Green. In the Tithe Award it was measured at 1 acre 1 rood and 23 perches; described on the OS map as 1.419 acres. This was also known as Brook Plott.

Brook Plott, associated with Paynes was apparently bought by George Rempnant from George Sterry, some time in the mid-18th century. When George Rempnant died in 1775, in his will he left the property to his grandson George Rempnant Searle.

In 1786 George Rempnant Searle passed the property on to John Mose, blacksmith, of Chobham. John Mose held Brook Plott until his death in 1823. In his will he left it to his daughter (who was also deceased) and then to his granddaughter, Martha. Martha was still a minor and so her father, John Mose was appointed guardian. Martha died (young) in 1829 and John Mose jnr (her brother?) was admitted as tenant; John was still in possession in 1846.

The second Kiln Lane Mead was a meadow of about an acre, situated on the north side of Kiln Lane, near to St John the Baptist Church - this was also known as 'Kiln Lane Field' and 'Kiln Mead'. In the Tithe Award it was measured at 1 acre and 14 perches; described on the OS map as 1.05 acres.
