An arable field of approximately one and a half acres, situated on the far side of Bisley Green (north end of the green) from the house known as "Bonnells" or "Edmeads" - hence the name. In the Tithe Award it was measured as 1 acre 1 rood and 36 perches, on the OS map as 1.399 acres.

Prior to 1883 Across the Green was owned (copyhold) by William Eacott; in 1883 when William died, he left it (along with Bonnells and its associated lands) to his son George. In 1894, Across the Green was enfranchised and from thenceforth was held freehold.
