At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Thursday the Twenty seventh day of September in the forty fourth year of the Reign of King George the third One thousand eight hundred and four Before Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward there.

At this Court upon the third Proclamation came here into court in his Proper Person James Searle a Devisee named in the last Will and Testament of George Rempnant deceased late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor and prayed of the Lord of this Manor to be admitted Tenant with the appurtenances called or known by the name of Collyers with the edifices buildings barn stable garden orchard and all and singular the customary arable meadow and pasture Lands to the same messuage belonging and appertaining situate lying and being in the Parish of Bisley within the said Manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of Mary Searle Widow late tenant for Life thereof as Presented at a Court Baron holden for this Manor on the tenth day of June One thousand eight hundred and three and which estate called Collyers comprised the several pieces or parcels of Land hereinafter more particularly mentioned and described that is to say All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Orchard Field and containing by estimation two acres be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Ford Mead and containing by estimation three acres and an half be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Westwods mead and containing by estimation two acres be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Neltro Common Field and containing by estimation two acres be the same more or less All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Butts Field and containing by estimation two acres be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Widecroft Common Field and containing by estimation four acres be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Southearsh Common Field and containing by estimation one acre be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Palmers Field and containing by estimation one acre and an half be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Burcroft Field and containing by estimation two acres be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Burne Mead and containing by estimation one acre be the same more or less All which said messuage or tenement and pieces or parcels of Land are now in the several tenures or occupations of the said James Searle John Loveland James Martin William Ives William Walker William Spong James Steadman and James Trigg and were late the estate of the said George Rempnant deceased to which said James Searle the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the said third part with the appurtenances and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Searle his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Manor by the yearly Rent of Three shillings and three pence by apportionment Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Searle was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£17 10s] and his Fealty was respited.

At this Court came here into Court in their proper persons James Trigg and also the said James Searle two of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor and in open Court severally and respectively surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid and according to the custom of this Manor as follows to wit the said James Trigg surrendered All those his two several undivided third parts or shares to which he had heretofore been admitted upon the respective Surrenders of Thomas Searle and William Searle of and in the said Messuage or tenement called Collyers with the edifice garden orchard arable meadow and pasture Lands thereunto belonging and as the same are hereinbefore particularly mentioned and described with their appurtenances And the said James Searle surrendered his one undivided third part or share of and in the same hereditaments and premises and to which he had immediately before been admitted at this Court To the following uses following that is to say As to for and concerning All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Westwood Field and containing  by estimation four acres And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Westwood mead and containing by estimation two acres And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Neltro Common Field and containing by estimation two acres And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Butts Field and containing by estimation two acres And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Widecroft Common Field and containing by estimation four acres And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Southearsh Common Field and containing by estimation one acre And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Palmers Field and containing by estimation one acre and an half And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Bircroft Common Field and containing by estimation two acres And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Burne Mead and containing by estimation one acre Together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same pieces or parcels of Land belonging To the only use and behoof of the said James Trigg his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of this Manor and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever And as to All that the said Messuage or Tenement with the Edifices Buildings Barn Stable Garden and Orchard thereunto belonging And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Orchard Field and containing by estimation two acres And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Ford mead and containing by estimation three acres and an half And also All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Coneyberry Field and containing by estimation three acres together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same Messuage or Tenement pieces or parcels of Land belonging To the only use and behoof of the said James Searle his heirs and assigns for ever according to the Custom of this Manor and to or for not other use intent or purpose whatsoever.

Now at this Court came here again into Court in his proper person the said James Trigg and prayed to be admitted Tenant to one Moiety or half part of and in the said several pieces or parcels of Land surrendered to his use as above mentioned (the whole thereof into two equal parts to be divided) To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold the said Moiety or half part to him the said James Trigg his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Three Shillings and three pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Trigg was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord nothing for a Fine for such his estate therein to be had in the premises the said Surrenders and admittance being for further Assurance only and the said James Trigg having paid Fines to the Lord on his said former admittances And his Fealty was respited.
Also the said James Trigg being still present in Court in his proper person prayed to be admitted Tenant to the other moiety or half part of and in the said several pieces or parcels of Land surrendered to his use as above mentioned To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold the said last mentioned moiety or half part to him the said James Trigg his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Three Shillings and three pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Trigg was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord nothing for a Fine for the reasons above stated And his Fealty was respited.

Now at this Court came here again  into Court in his proper person the said James Searle and prayed to be admitted tenant to the Messuage Buildings Garden Orchard and several pieces or parcels of Land surrendered to his use as above mentioned To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Searle his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of three shillings and three pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Searle was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord nothing for a Fine for such his admittance the same and the said Surrender being for further Assurance only and he having already at this Court paid a Fine to the Lord of this Manor and his Fealty was respited.

And immediately after such his admittance came again into Court  in his proper person the said James Searle and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the custom of this Manor  All his Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments within and holden by him as part and parcel of this Manor To the use and behoof of such person or persons for such estate and estates and for such uses intents and purposes as the said James Searle shall in or by his last Will or Testament Give devise limit direct or appoint the same.

And also the said James Trigg being still present here in Court in his proper person surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the custom of this Manor  All his Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments within and holden by him as part and parcel of this Manor To the use and behoof of such person or persons for such estate and estates and for such uses intents and purposes as the said James Trigg shall in or by his last Will and Testament Give devise limit direct or appoint the same.

The Homage Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court in the words following (to wit) “Manor of Bisley.  Be it remembered that on the thirteenth day of July 1804 John Churchill Gent one of the Copyhold and Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Pickstone Gent Steward of the said Manor out of Court and surrendered and by these Presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the said Steward and according to the custom of this Manor  All and every the Customary or Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments of him the said John Churchill held as part or parcel of the said Manor To the use and behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and interest therein as he the said John Churchill shall in or by his last Will and Testament in Writing Give devise limit direct or appoint the same.  John Churchill  This Surrender was taken the Day and year above written by the acceptance of me Joseph Pickstone – Stew.d
