At this Court came here into Court in his Proper Person William Hammond one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenant of this Manor and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All that one Messuage or Tenement in Bisley called Bonnells otherwise Edmeads with the Barns Edifices Gardens Orchards Curtilages and three Closes of Land to the said Messuage adjoining and belonging containing by estimation seven acres One Close of Land called Long Close containing by estimation one acre One Close of Land called Hunger Hills containing by estimation one acre and an half and four acres of Land lying and being in the Common Field called Wide Croft and two acres of Land lying in the Common Field called South Earsh and one acre of Land lying in the Common Field called Barcroft and two acres of Land lying in the Common Field called Neltro abutting on the Land formerly of Sarah Millest on the South Lands of John Hone on the North and Land of John Goreing on the East And also one Mead called Newbridge Mead containing by estimation one acre and an acre and an half in Westburn Mead and half an acre of Meadow in Church burn Mead To the only Use and behoof of William Eacott of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor Which said William Eacott being now present here in Court in his proper person prayed to be admitted tenant to the said Messuage Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with the Appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said William Eacott his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of five shillings and five pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for this and another admittance as appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
And again came here into Court in his Proper Person the said William Hammond and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All that one Meadow called Bisley Mead adjoining to Newbridge containing by estimation one acre more or less To the only Use and behoof of the said William Eacott his Heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor and the said William Eacott being also present here in Court in his proper person prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Meadow called Bisley Mead with the Appurtenances in pursuance of the said last mentioned Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said William Eacott his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of six pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in manner aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for his admittance to this and the said former estate as appears in the Margin [Fine for both £34] and his Fealty was respited.
And after such his several admittances came here again into Court in his proper person the said William Eacott and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All and every the said Messuage or Tenement Barns Edifices Gardens Orchards Curtilages Closes of Land Meadows hereditaments and Premises with their several and respective appurtenances to which he the said William Eacott had at this same Court been before severally admitted and all his estate right title and interest therein and thereto To and for the Use and behoof of Thomas Humfrey of Windlesham in the County of Surrey yeoman his heirs and assigns for ever Under a proviso nevertheless and upon this Condition that if the said William Eacott his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas Humfrey his Executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of four hundred pounds of lawful money of that part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland called England together with lawful interest for the same on the thirtieth day of March now next ensuing without fraud or further delay and without any deduction or abatement whatsoever then the said Surrender was and is to be absolutely void and of no effect or else to remain in full force power and virtue.
[Margin note: Be it remembered that on the tenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and seventeen Thomas Humfrey in this Surrender named did acknowledge that he had received of William Eacott in this Surrender also named All Principal and Interest Monies secured by and due upon this Surrender and in full satisfaction thereof and by Writing under his Hand of that date did empower the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received the same and such satisfaction on the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor. Also at this Court the said William Eacott surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All and every his Messuages Farm Lands Tenements and Hereditaments by him held by Copy of Court roll and parcel of this Manor To the Use and behoof of such persons and for such estate and interest therein as he the said William Eacott shall in and by his last Will and Testament in writing Give devise will limit direct or appoint the same.
At this Court came here into Court in his proper person William Woods the Younger of Naphill in the Parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Brickburner and prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that Scite of a Messuage and parcel of Arable Land containing by estimation an acre and an half more or less late the estate of Peter Quennell deceased and before then the Estate of George Martin deceased and since of Sarah Moore lying and being in the parish of Bisley within the said Manor and which came into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor on the surrender of James Stovell at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said William Woods his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of six pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his estate therein as appears in the Margin [£1 15s] and his Fealty was respited.
