At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable William Hillier Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor on Friday the twenty eighth day of October in the fifty first year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty seven Before Frederic Ferdinand Smallpeice Gentleman Steward there.

Bargain and Sale George Chandler and Joseph Chandler to Charles George Pain
At this Court came here into Court Charles George Pain of Chapel Road Pirbright in the County of Surrey Gentleman by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice his Attorney and produced to the said Steward a certain Indenture of Bargain and Sale Bearing date the twenty eighth day of October instant in the words following 
This Indenture made the twenty eighth day of October One thousand eight hundred and eighty seven Between George Chandler of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer and Joseph Chandler of Bisley aforesaid Farmer (hereinafter called the Vendors) of the one part and Charles George Pain of Chapel Road Pirbright in the said County Gentleman (hereinafter called the purchaser) of the other part Whereas William Chandler late of Bisley aforesaid Farmer being seized in customary fee simple of the Copyhold hereditaments hereinafter described subject to the rent heriot suits and services therefor formerly due and of right accustomed made his Will dated the sixth day of December One thousand eight hundred and eighty five and thereby as to all that his Copyhold messuage or tenement outbuildings farm lands and hereditaments called Stedmans otherwise Elm Park or by whatsoever other name or names the same were known containing altogether twenty eight acres (more or less) situate in the Parish of Bisley aforesaid and then and for many years past in his own occupation and also certain pieces of land situate in Neltro Common Field therein described and all other (if any) his Copyhold hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever situate the said Testator directed the Vendor or other the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of his said Will to sell the same and to lay out the monies to arise from the Sale or Sales thereof in manner and Upon the trusts in the said Will expressed And whereas the said William Chandler died on the twenty eighth day of December one thousand eight hundred and eighty six without having altered or revoked his said Will and the said will was duly proved on the eighth day of June One thousand eight hundred and eighty seven in the Principal Probate Registry of the High Court of Justice by Elizabeth Chandler Widow the sole Executrix therein named And whereas the Vendors have in pursuance of the direction to them contained in the said recited Will agreed to sell the pieces or parcels of Land and hereditaments hereinafter described and expressed to be hereby bargained and sold to the Purchaser at the price of One hundred and forty five pounds Now this Indenture Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of One hundred and forty five pounds to the Vendors paid by the Purchaser on or before the execution of these presents (the receipt whereof the Vendors hereby acknowledge) the Vendors as Trustees in exercise of the power for this purpose given to them by the said Will of the said William Chandler as aforesaid and of all other powers (if any) in anywise enabling them in this behalf Do hereby bargain and sell unto the Purchaser All those two acres of land part of a parcel of land called Miles Grove within this Manor and which said two acres adjoin Port Lane on the East the Common Field called Neltro on the North the Copyhold land formerly of William Walden and now or late William Smiths called Wheat Leaz on the West and two acres other part of Miles Grove on the South now or late William Walkers Which said premises are N.od 106 on the Ordnance Map for the said Parish of Bisley and are now found by admeasurement to contain two acres and twenty three perches or thereabouts and were lately in the occupation of the said William Chandler deceased And also one acre of land other part of the said parcel of land called Miles Grove and which acre adjoins to Miles Green on the South to  Port Lane on the East to an acre of Land other part of Miles Grove late James Hone’s on the West and to the said two acres now or late William Walkers on the North which said lastly described premises are N.od 109 on the Ordnance Map for the said Parish of Bisley and are now found by admeasurement to contain one acre and thirteen perches or thereabouts and were lately in the occupation of the said William Chandler deceased To hold the said hereditaments and premises hereinbefore described and expressed to be hereby bargained and sold unto and to the use of the Purchaser his heirs and assigns according to the custom of the said Manor by and under the rent heriot suits and services therefor formerly due and of right accustomed In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. Admission of Charles George Pain
Whereupon at this Court on the second Proclamation consequent on the death of the said William Chandler deceased came the said Charles George Pain by his said Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to All those two acres of land part of a parcel of land called Miles Grove within the said Manor and which said two Acres adjoin Port Lane on the East the Common Field called Neltro on the North the Copyhold land formerly of William Walden and now or late William Smiths called Wheat Leaz on the West and two acres other part of Miles Grove on the South now or late William Walkers which said premises are N.od 106 on the Ordnance Map for the said Parish of Bisley and are now found by admeasurement to contain two acres and twenty three perches or thereabouts and were lately in the occupation of the said William Chandler deceased And also one acre of Land other part of the said parcel of Land called Miles Grove and which acre adjoins to Miles Green on the South to Port Lane on the East to an acre of Land other part of Miles Grove late James Hone’s on the West and to the said two acres now or late William Walkers on the North which said lastly described premises are N.od 109 on the Ordnance Map for the said Parish of Bisley and are now found by admeasurement to contain one acre and thirteen perches or thereabouts and were lately in the occupation of the said William Chandler deceased Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said William Chandler as presented at the last General Court Baron holden in and for the said Manor To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod  To hold to the said Charles George Pain his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of One penny halfpenny heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said Charles George Pain was by his said Attorney admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£9] and his fealty was respited.
