At a Special Court Baron of the Right Honourable Arthur George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Tuesday the twenty eighth day of October in the fifth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord William the fourth by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King Defender of the Faith And in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty four Before Joseph Hockley the elder Gentleman Steward there.

Absolute Surrender John Tyler to James Hone the younger
At this Court came here into Court in his proper person John Tyler one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor And (in consideration of the Sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by James Hone the younger of Knaphill in the Parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Nurseryman) surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All that the Scite of one Cottage and fourteen rods of Land by estimation more or less and one Parcel of Land called the Common Plot containing by estimation one quarter of an Acre lying at Knaphill in Bisley To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said James Hone his heirs and assigns for ever
Admittance of James Hone
Now at this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Hone and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Scite of a Cottage and fourteen rods of Land and one parcel of land called the Common Plot in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seisin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Hone his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of One shilling Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£1 4s] and his fealty was respited.

At this Court came here into Court John Tyler one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor And (in consideration of the Sum of forty pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by James Steptoe of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman) surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All that the Scite of one Messuage or Cottage and certain Customary Land to the same belonging containing by estimation one acre or thereabouts with the appurtenances in Bisley To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said James Steptoe his heirs and assigns for ever

Now at this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Steptoe and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Scite of one Messuage or Cottage and certain Customary Land to the same belonging containing one acre or thereabouts in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seisin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Steptoe his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two shillings Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£1 16s] and his fealty was respited.
Death of Henry Attfield
The Homage aforesaid being sworn and charged on their Oath do present that Henry Attfield one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor who held for the term of his natural life by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All those three pieces of Land being Coppice Ground containing by estimation One acre and an half called Brook Ground more or less And one close of Land called Rough Ground containing by estimation three acres with the appurtenances in Bisley by the yearly rent of two shillings Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other Customs and Services Died since the last Court Whereupon an Heriot to wit the best live Beast of the said Henry Attfield became due to the Lord of this Manor but that none was seized he not having any live Animal at the time of his death And that upon the death of the said Henry Attfield the said premises descended and came to John Field the Grandson of Ann Attfield the late Wife of the said Henry Attfield under and by virtue of the Will of the said Ann Attfield which was presented at a General Court Baron held in and for the said Manor on the thirtieth day of September One thousand eight hundred and twenty eight

Now at this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said John Field and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said three pieces of Land called Brook Ground with the appurtenances in Bisley Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Henry Attfield To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seisin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said John Field his heirs and assigns for ever (Subject nevertheless to the payment of the several Sums of Money by the said Will of the said Ann Attfield charged on the said premises) by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two shillings Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£17 10s] and his fealty was respited.
