At this Court the second proclamation was made for Thomas Gosden or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to one acre of meadow lying in the common mead called Westbourn Mead within this manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the surrender of Jacob Gosden to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came whereupon the second proclamation and default are here inrolled.
Also at this Court the second proclamation was made for Thomas Gosden or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to four several pieces of Land containing together by estimation one acre more or less part of four acres of Land lying in the Common field called Widecroft within this Manor One of which said four pieces of Land abuts on the West part to Land of William Smith on the East to the Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the north to Land of James Loveland and on the South to Land of Mrs Geale one other of the said pieces of Land abuts on Lands of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the West and North and to the lands of Mrs Geale on the East and south One other of the said pieces of Land abuts on Lands of Mrs Geale on the West East and South parts and on lands of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the North And the other piece of Land abuts on the Lands of Mrs Geale on the West to inclosed Land of James Loveland on the South and to Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the North and to Land now or late of Ann Waterer on the West Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the surrender of Edward Gosden to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the second proclamation and default are here inrolled.
The Homage aforesaid being sworn and charged on their Oath present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey. Be it remembered that on the twenty second day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifteen Philip Giles of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Gardener one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in conson of the Sum of Thirty three pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency to him in hand paid at or immediately before the making this Surrender by James Waterer of Crastock in the parish of Woking in the said County of Surrey Farmer personally came before Joseph Hockley the younger Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and Hath surrendered and by these presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the said manor All that Cottage or Tenement with all the Lands thereunto belonging containing by estimation one acre and an half or thereabouts formerly in the occupation of John Crouch and late of John Carman situate lying and being within and held of the said Manor by the yearly rent of six pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services And all the estate right title interest trust property possession claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Philip Gyles of in to or out of the said Cottage or Tenements Lands and premises To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said James Waterer his heirs and assigns for ever Provided always and upon this Condition nevertheless that if the said Philip Gyles his heirs executors admors or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Waterer his Executors Administrators or assigns the full Sum of thirty three pounds together with lawful interest for the same of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency upon the twenty second day of May next ensuing the date of these presents without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever Then this Surrender to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue. ~ Philip Gyles ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written by the acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Jn.r Steward. ~ Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named James Waterer the sum of thirty three pounds being the consideration above mentioned to be paid by him to me ~ £33 ~ Philip Gyles ~ Witness Joseph Hockley Jun.r.”
[Margin note: Be it remembered that on the fifteenth day of May One thousand eight hundred and thirty James Waterer in this Surrender named the Son and sole Executor named in the Will of Thomas Waterer late of Crastock in the Parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Farmer deceased did by writing under his hand of that date acknowledge that he had received of and from James Gyles (in whom the premises mentioned in this Surrender had then become vested) all Principal and Interest money due and owing to him on this Surrender And also on two several other Conditional Surrenders of the same Premises made by Philip Gyles in this Surrender named to the said Thomas Waterer deceased bearing date respectively the twelfth day of November One thousand eight hundred and six and the seventh day of July One thousand eight hundred and nine And the said James Waterer did by the said Writing under his Hand authorize and impower the steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received the same and such Satisfaction on the Court Rolls or Books of this Manor accordingly. The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the seventh day of December One thousand eight hundred and sixteen Whereby John Edwards of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the Sum of seventeen pounds to him paid by John Robinson of Chobham in the County of Surrey Cordwainer Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward of the said Manor according to the custom of the said manor All that Messuage or Tenement with the Outhouses Gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate within this Manor heretofore in the possession of John Towers since of John Stiles late of Sarah Hill and now of the said John Edwards To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said John Robinson his heirs and assigns for ever Subject nevertheless to a certain Conditional Surrender made by the said John Edwards to James Waterer of Crastock in the Parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Yeoman of the said premises bearing date on or about the fifth day of April one thousand eight hundred and fourteen for securing the repayment of the principal sum of eighty pounds and interest and also to and with the payment of the said principal money and interest from henceforth to now due for the same. Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the said John Robinson or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to Messuage or Tenement Outhouses Gardens and Appurtenances to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came whereupon the first proclamation and default are here inrolled.
The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the fifth day of May One thousand eight hundred and seventeen Whereby Thomas Eacott of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Laborer one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the Sum of Twenty pounds to him paid by John Daborn of the parish of Bisley aforesaid Farmer Did Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward of the said Manor according to the custom thereof All that piece or parcel of Garden Ground containing by admeasurement forty rods little more or less being the north west end of the Garden belonging to and parcel of All that Customary Messuage or Tenement with the edifices buildings garden orchard and curtilage thereunto belonging situate in Bisley Green in the parish of Bisley abutting on the said Green on the South North and East parts late in the occupation of George Slyfield and since of _______ Floyd To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said John Daborn his heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the said John Daborn or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said piece or parcel of Garden Ground to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came whereupon the first proclamation and default are here inrolled.
The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey. Be it remembered that on the tenth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventeen William Eacott of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor for and in consideration of the Sum of Five hundred pounds of good and lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency to him paid by Mary Baker of Russell Place in the parish of Worplesdon in the said County of Surrey Spinster personally came before Joseph Hockley the younger Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and Hath surrendered And by these presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid and according to the custom of the said manor All that one Messuage or Tenement in Bisley called Bonnells otherwise Edmeads with the Barns Edifices gardens orchards curtilages and three Closes of Land to the same messuage adjoining and belonging containing by estimation seven acres One Close of Land called Long Close containing by estimation one acre and One Close of Land called Hanger Hills containing by estimation one acre and an half and four acres of Land lying and being in the Common field called Widecroft and two acres of land lying in the Common field called South Earsh and one acre of Land lying in the Common field called Burcroft and two acres of Land lying in the Common field called Neltro abutting on the Land formerly of Sarah Millest on the South Lands of Jone Hone on the North and Land of John Goreing on the east And also one mead called Newbridge Mead containing by estimation one acre And an acre of meadow in Churchburn Mead adjoining to Newbridge containing by estimation one acre more or less (to which said premises the said William Eacott was admitted Tenant at a Special Court Baron holden in and for the said Manor on the thirtieth day of September the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and one on the Surrender of William Hammond) And also all that parcel of land by estimation four acres more or less part of a certain parcel of land late of Sarah Hundon containing five acres or thereabouts heretofore inclosed out of the Common field called Neltroe with the Appurtenances (to which said parcel of land the said William Eacott was admitted Tenant at a General Court Baron holden in and for the said Manor on the eighth day of October in the year One thousand eight hundred and twelve on the Surrender of James Stevenson alias Stimson and Sarah his Wife) And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and Profits thereof And also all the estate right title interest property possession claim and demand whatsoever of him the said William Eacott of in to or out of the same premises and every part and parcel thereof To the only proper use and behoof of the said Mary Baker her heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor Provided always and upon this Condition nevertheless that if the said William Eacott his heirs executors admors or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Mary Baker her executors admors or assigns the full and just sum of Five hundred pounds together with lawful interest for the same after the rate of Five pounds for every hundred pounds for a year of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency upon the tenth day of November next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue. ~ Wm Eacott ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written by me Joseph Hockley Jn.r Steward. ~ Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named Mary Baker the sum of Five hundred pounds being the consideration money above mentioned to be paid by her to me ~ £500 ~ Wm Eacott ~ Witness Joseph Hockley Jun.r.”

The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey. Be it remembered that on the twenty second day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventeen William Chandler of the parish of Bisley in the said County of Surrey Farmer one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in his proper person and for and in consideration of the Sum of Four hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain and Ireland current in England to him lent and advanced by Richard Hodd of Knaphill in the parish of Wokeing in the said County of Surrey Gentleman by way of loan and at interest upon the Messuage or Tenement Lands and Hereditaments hereinafter particularly described surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the hands and acceptance of William Woods and Joseph Pocock Two other Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor according to the custom of the said manor All that one Messuage or Tenement called Goddins with a Barn and all other the buildings curtilages gardens and orchards thereto belonging and three pieces of Land with the appurts thereto adjoining whereof one is called Mead Close containing by estimation three acres with the Appurtenances lying in Bisley within this manor And also all those two Closes of arable land containing by estimation three acres with the Appurtenances in Bisley to which premises the said William Chandler was admitted Tenant at a Court held in and for the said Manor on the twelfth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine And also all those two undivided moieties or equal half parts the whole into two equal parts to be divided of and in all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Westwood field and containing by estimation four acres And also of and in all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Westwood Mead and containing by estimation two acres And also of and in all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Neltro Common field in two pieces and containing by estimation two acres And also of and in all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Butts field and containing by estimation two acres within and held of the said Manor and to which said last mentioned premises he the said William Chandler was admitted Tenant at a Court held in and for the said Manor on the twenty first day of August in the year One thousand eight hundred and twelve and which said messuage or Tenement Lands Hereditaments and Premises are now in the tenure of occupation of the said William Chandler and of which premises he the said William Chandler at the time of making the said Surrender was seized in fee at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor with all and singular the Appurtenances to the same belonging And all the estate right title interest use trust possession property benefit claim and demand whatsoever both at law and in equity of him the said William Chandler of in to out of upon or respecting the said Messuage or Tenement Lands Hereditaments and Premises or any of them To the use and behoof of the said Richard Hodd his heirs and assigns for ever To be holden at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor Subject Provided nevertheless to such proviso condition or agreement for redemption of the said Hereditaments and premises as hereinafter is contained that is to say Provided always nevertheless and these presents are upon this express Condition that if the said William Chandler his heirs executors admors or assigns or any person or persons on his or their behalf do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Richard Hodd his Executors administrators or assigns the full sum of Four hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain with interest for the same at and after the rate of five pounds per centum per annum upon the days and in the manner hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) the sum of Ten pounds being one half years interest for the said sum of four hundred pounds after the rate aforesaid on the twenty second day of March next ensuing the date hereof and the sum of four hundred and ten pounds being the said Principal sum of four hundred pounds and one other half years interest for the same at and after the rate aforesaid on the twenty second day of March then next following and which will be in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighteen without any deduction or abatement whatsoever for or by reason of any taxes charges assessments cause matter or thing whatsoever then and in such case the Surrender so as aforesaid shall be void and of no effect but in default thereof the same shall be and remain To the use of the said Richard Hodd his heirs and assigns for ever free from all equity and right of redemption whatsoever. ~ William Chandler ~ Taken and accepted the day and year first above written before and by us Tenants of the said Manor and within the same manor William Be it remembered that on the twenty sixth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighteen Isaac Gosden of the parish of Chobham in the County of Surrey Farmer one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the younger Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand well and truly paid by John Lipscomb of Horsell in the said County of Surrey Farmer Hath surrendered And by these presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward and according to the custom of the said manor All those his two undivided moieties or equal half parts the whole into two equal parcels being divided or considered as divided of and in All that one piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Widecroft Common field and containing by estimation four acres And also all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Palmers field and containing by estimation one acre And also all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of South Earsh Common field and containing by estimation one acre and an half And also all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Burcroft Common field and containing by estimation two acres And also all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Burn Mead and containing by estimation one acre within and held of the said Manor Together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same pieces or parcels of Land belonging (to which said premises the said Isaac Gosden was admitted at a Special Court Baron holden for the said Manor on the twenty fourth day of April one thousand eight hundred and eleven on the Surrender of James Trigg) And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and Profits thereof And all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Isaac Gosden of in and to the said premises and every part and parcel thereof To the only proper use and behoof of the said John Lipscomb his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor Provided always And upon this Condition nevertheless that if the said Isaac Gosden his heirs executors admors or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Lipscomb his executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of one hundred and fifty pounds together with interest for the same after the rate of five pounds for one hundred pounds for a year of lawful money of the Great Britain upon the twenty sixth day of March next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue. ~ Isaac Gosden ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written by the acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Steward. ~ Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named John Lipscomb the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds being the consideration money above mentioned to be paid by him to me ~ £150 ~ Isaac Gosden ~ Witness Willm Smith.”
[Margin note: Be it remembered that on the seventh day of May One thousand eight hundred and sixty three James Lipscomb Edward Chitty and John Stedman the Executors of John Lipscomb in this Surrender named did acknowledge that they had been paid and satisfied all Principal and Interest monies due and owing upon and by virtue of this Surrender and the said James Lipscomb Edward Chitty and John Stedman did by writing under their hands of that day empower and authorize the Steward of this Manor to enter their acknowledgement of having received such Satisfaction on the Court Rolls or Books of this Manor. The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the tenth day of October One thousand eight hundred and eighteen Whereby Thomas Glazier of the parish of Horsell in the County of Surrey Farmer and Sarah his Wife the said Sarah being one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor and being first solely and separately examined apart from her said Husband and by the Steward of the said Manor and freely and voluntarily consenting thereto in consideration of the Sum of Thirty pounds to them paid by Thomas Turner of the parish of Horsell in the said County of Surrey Laborer surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod by the acceptance of the said Steward and according to the custom of the said manor All that one acre of land lying (in two several pieces) in the Common field called Burcroft within this Manor To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Thomas Turner his heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the said Thomas Turner or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said one acre of Land to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are here inrolled.
The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the nineteenth day of October One thousand eight hundred and eighteen Whereby Henry Gosden of Chertsey in the County of Surrey Cornchandler one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the Sum of Thirty nine pounds to him paid by John Gosden of Chobham in the said County of Surrey Farmer and Mary his Wife did surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward of the said Manor according to the custom thereof All those two several half acres of land in two pieces part of four acres of Land lying in the Common field called Widecroft One of which said half acres abuts on the North to Land of Mrs Geale on the South to Land belonging to the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the East to Land of James Loveland and on the West to Land of Henry Gosden And the other half acre abuts on the East to the Lands of Henry Gosden the Devisees of Joseph Bell and Mrs Geale on the West to lands of Mrs Geale on the North to the Lands of the Devisees of Joseph Bell and James Loveland and on the South to the Lands of the said Mrs Geale To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said John Gosden and Mary his Wife their heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court in their own proper persons the said John Gosden and Mary his Wife and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said two several half acres of Land in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said John Gosden and Mary his Wife their Heirs and Assigns for ever at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such their admittance as appears in the margin [£2 5s] and their fealties were respited.

Be it remembered that on the sixteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nineteen Thomas Eacott of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward of the said Manor out of Court and in consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to him in hand well and truly paid by John Try of Chobham in the said County of Surrey Farmer Hath Surrendered and by these presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the said Steward and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Customary Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances together with the edifices buildings garden orchard and curtilage to the said Messuage or Tenement belonging (except about forty rods parcel of the said Garden lately sold and surrendered by the said Thomas Eacott to John Daborn) situate lying and being in Bisley Green in the parish of Bisley aforesaid abutting on the said Green on the north south and east parts heretofore in the occupation of George Slyfield late of _____ Floyd and now of the said Thomas Eacott (to which the said Thomas Eacott was admitted at a General Court Baron holden for the said Manor on the twenty third day of June one thousand eight hundred on the Surrender of Ann Eacott his Mother And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and Profits thereof And all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Eacott of in and to the said premises and every part and parcel thereof To the only proper use and behoof of the said John Try his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor Provided always And upon this Condition nevertheless that if the said Thomas Eacott his heirs executors admors or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Try his executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of Twenty five pounds together with interest for the same after the rate of five pounds for one hundred pounds for a year of lawful Money of Great Britain upon the sixteenth day of July next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. ~ Thomas Eacott ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written by the acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Steward. ~ Received on the day and year first above written of and from the above named John Try the full sum of Twenty five pounds being the consideration money above mentioned to be paid by him to me £25 ~ Thomas Eacott ~ Witness Joseph Hockley”.
[Margin note: Be it remembered that on the twenty second day of June One thousand eight hundred and thirty three James Try the Son and Administrator of John Try in this Surrender named did acknowledge that he had received of Thomas Eacott in this Surrender also named All Principal and Interest Monies secured by and due upon this Surrender and in full satisfaction thereof And the said James Try by Writing under his hand of that date did empower the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received the same and such Satisfaction upon the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor Witness my Hand. The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the twentieth day of March One thousand eight hundred and nineteen Whereby William Hampton of Chobham in the County of Surrey Laborer and Elizabeth his Wife late Elizabeth Gosden Spinster (the said Elizabeth being one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor and being first separately examined apart from her said Husband by the Steward of the said Manor and freely and voluntarily consenting thereto) in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds to them paid by William Knight of Chobham in the said County of Surrey Laborer surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the said Steward and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that one acre of land lying in the Common field called Widecroft abutting on the Land of Mrs Geale on the South part to Land of William Eacott on the north and to the inclosed Land of James Loveland on the West and East To the only proper use and behoof of the said William Knight his heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said William Knight in his proper person and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said one acre of Land in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said William Knight his Heirs and Assigns for ever at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£1 10s] and his fealty was respited.
The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the twenty third day of September One thousand eight hundred and nineteen Whereby James Turner of Knaphill in the parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Gentleman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to him paid by Elizabeth Bailey of Chobham in the said County of Surrey Widow Did surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward of the said Manor according to the Custom of the said Manor All that the scite of one Cottage and fourteen Rods of Land by estimation more or less And one parcel of Land called the Common Plot containing by estimation one quarter of an acre lying near Knapphill in Bisley And also all that the scite of one Messuage or Cottage and certain Customary land to the same belonging containing by estimation one acre or thereabouts with the appurtenances in Bisley To the only proper use and behoof of the said Elizabeth Bailey her heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Elizabeth Bailey (by Morris Burchett her Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said the scite of one Cottage and fourteen Rods of Land and one parcel of Land called the Common Plot containing one quarter of an acre lying near Knapphill in Bisley in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Elizabeth Bailey her heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of one shilling Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was admitted Tenant thereof (by her said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such her admittance as appears in the margin [£1 3s 6d] and her fealty was pardoned.
And again at this Court came here into Court the said Elizabeth Bailey (by Morris Burchett her Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said the scite of one messuage or Cottage and certain Customary land to the same belonging containing one acre or thereabouts with the Appurts in Bisley in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Elizabeth Bailey her heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two shillings Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was admitted Tenant thereof (by her said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such her admittance as appears in the margin [£1 18s] And her fealty was pardoned.
The Homage also present that Elizabeth Dabourn (the late Wife of John Dabourn of Chobham in the County of Surrey Laborer) one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor who held to her and her heirs of the Lord of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor All that messuage Barn Garden Orchard and one acre and an half of Arable and meadow land with the appurtenances in the Parish of Bisley by the yearly rent of One shillings and eight pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed Died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon an Heriot to wit the best live Beast of the said Elizabeth Dabourn became due to the Lord of this Manor but that none was seized she being a feme covert at the time of her death And that William Dabourn is her eldest Son and Heir at Law according to the custom of this Manor Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the said William Dabourn or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said Messuage Barn Garden Orchard and one acre and an half of arable and meadow land with the appurts which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Elizabeth Dabourn to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are here inrolled.
The Homage also present that Richard Barnes one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor who held to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor All that Copyhold messuage or Tenement called Edsaws and four Closes of land by estimation four acres and an half with the buildings garden orchards and appurtenances thereunto belonging by the yearly rent of four pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed Died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon an Heriot to wit the best live Beast of the said Richard Barnes became due to the Lord of this Manor but that none was seized he not having any live Animal at the time of his death And that Thomas Barnes his eldest Brother is his heir at Law according to the custom of this Manor Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the said Thomas Barnes or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said messuage called Edsaws and four Closes of land with the buildings garden orchards and appurtenances thereunto belonging which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Richard Barnes to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are here inrolled.
The Homage also present that Isaac Foster the younger one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor who held to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor All that Customary or Copyhold parcel of land with the appurtenances lying in four severals containing by estimation seven acres more or less lying in Bisley within this Manor (subject to a Mortgage of Two hundred and seventy pounds and Interest due to James Waterer the Executor of Thomas Waterer) by the yearly rent of six pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed Died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon an Heriot to wit the best live Beast of the said Isaac Foster became due to the Lord of this Manor but that none was seized he not having any live Animal at the time of his death And that in and by his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the twenty ninth day of May One thousand eight hundred and fifteen (now produced and read in open Court) he gave devised and bequeathed the said Land with the Appurtenances And also all his personal estate unto his Father Isaac Foster To hold unto his said Father his heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever according to the respective and qualities thereof to and for his and their own use and benefit Subject nevertheless to the payment of all his just debts funeral and testamentary expences Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the said Isaac Foster the Father or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said parcel of land which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Isaac Foster the younger to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are here inrolled.
