At this Court upon the second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person William Eacott and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that parcel of Land by estimation Four acres more or less part of a certain parcel of Land late of Sarah Stimson containing Five acres or thereabouts heretofore inclosed out of the Common Field named Neltroe with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of James Stevenson alias Stimson and Sarah his Wife as Presented at a Special Court Baron holden for this Manor on the Twenty fourth day of April One thousand eight hundred and eleven  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said William Eacott his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin[£8] and his Fealty was respited.

At this Court upon the second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person James Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that Customary Messuage or Tenement with the Orchard formerly in the Tenure of Philip Roberts and one Close of Land to the same belonging containing by Estimation One acre more or less One acre of Land more or less in Neltro with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe as Presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said James Loveland his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears after and his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court upon the second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that parcel of Arable Land in the Common Field called Neltro in Bisley by estimation One acre more or less and Half an acre of Meadow in Churchburne Mead with the appurtenances in Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said James Loveland his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears after And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court upon the second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances called Whichoode and One Close of Land adjoining by estimation one acre lying in Bisley aforesaid which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said James Loveland his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears after And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court upon the second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to Two acres of Land and half an acre of Land more or less lying in the Common Field called Neltro and Two acres of Land and half an acre of Land lying in the Common Field called Widecroft in the said Manor of Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said James Loveland his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Four pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears after And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court upon the Second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that one Close of Customary Arable Land late Woodland containing by estimation Two acres more or less And Two acres of Land more or less lying in the Common Field called Northhill which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said James Loveland his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of _________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears after And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court upon the Second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that one Close of Customary Arable Land late Woodland containing by estimation Two acres more or less And Two acres of Land more or less lying in the Common Field called Northhill which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said James Loveland his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of _________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his admittance as appears after And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court upon the Second proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that parcel of Ground containing by estimation One acre and an half more or less called Bisley Mead which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof  by the rod  To hold to the said James Loveland his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of _________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid  Gave to the Lord for a Fine for this and his said Five former Admittances as appears in the Margin [£28] And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All and every his Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments by him held as part and parcel of this Manor To the Use and Behoof of such Person or Persons and for such Estate and Interest therein as he shall in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing Give Devise Limit Direct or Appoint the same.

The Homage aforesaid being sworn and Charged on their oath present a certain Deed poll or Letter of Attorney in the Words following (to wit) “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey. Know all Men by these presents that we Caleb Woodyer of Guildford in the County of Surrey Surgeon George Burley of Lincolns Inn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman and Richard Barry Slater of High Wycombe in the County of Bucks Surgeon (Devisees in Trust named in and by the last Will and Testament of Joseph Bell late of Leeds Farm in the parish of Chobham in the said County of Surrey Esquire deceased) Do and each of Us Doth make nominate Constitute and Appoint and in our and each of our place and stead put Edward Snick of Bisley in the said County of Surrey Victualler and William Woods of Woking in the said County of Surrey Farmer jointly and severally for us in our and either of our names and name to receive have and take Admittance of and from the Lord of the Manor of Bisley aforesaid or his Steward at his Court there of us and to All that Barn called Old Barn and the Lands to the same belonging And also all those Four acres situate lying and being in the Common Field called Wide Croft Half an acre in the Common Field called North hill Four acres and a half in the Common Field called Burcroft One acre of Meadow in Westbourne Mead One acre of Meadow in Churchbourne Mead Two acres of Coppice called Church Grove And also of and in and to certain Customary Lands called Rumps late Whiteings And also of and in and to all those Four acres of Arable Land lying in the Common Field called Neltro and one acre of Coppice parcel of a Coppice called Church Grove with the appurtenances And also of in and to one Messuage or Tenement and Garden with the appurtenances called Edmeads And of in and to all other the Lands Tenements and Hereditaments lying and being within the said Manor whereof the said Joseph Bell was seized or intitled to at the time of his death To hold the said Barn Lands Messuage Hereditaments and premises unto us the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater and our Heirs at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the rents and Services therefore due and of right accustomed To such Uses as are limited expressed and declared of and concerning the same in pursuance of the Trusts mentioned or referred to in the last Will and Testament of the said Joseph Bell bearing date the Eighteenth day of March One thousand eight hundred and Eleven  And generally to do and execute every Act and Deed necessary or expressed to be done in or about such Admission as aforesaid as fully and amply as we and each or either of us could do if we were personally present and acting therein.  In Witness whereof we the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater have hereunto set our Hands and Seals the First day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twelve. ~ C Woodyer (SS)  George Burley (SS)  RB Slater (SS) ~ Signed Sealed and Delivered by the within named Caleb Woodyer in the presence of Wm Miles ~ William Tayler ~ Signed Sealed and Delivered by the within named George Burley in the presence of B Lane ~ Dan.l Boden Clerks to Mess.rs Burley & Moore ~ Signed Sealed and Delivered by the within named Richard Barry Slater in the presence of Thomas Ferrers Conduit Street Hanover Square ~ Will.m Denny High Wycombe Bucks.”

The Homage also Present that Joseph Bell whose death was presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor in and by his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the eighteenth day of March One thousand eight hundred and eleven the probate whereof is now produced in Court Gave and Devised as follows “All that and those my Messuage or Tenement Farm Lands and Hereditaments situate at Bisley in the said County of Surrey in the Occupation of James Kates his undertenants or Assigns And also all that and those my Messuage or Tenement Farm Lands and Hereditaments situate at Malden in the said County of Surrey then in the Occupation of William Toms his undertenants or Assigns with their respective appurtenances unto Caleb Woodyer George Burley of Lincolns Inn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman and Richard Barry Slater of High Wycombe in the County of Bucks Surgeon their heirs and Assigns to the use of the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater their heirs and assigns for ever Nevertheless Upon the Trusts and to and for the Intents and purposes hereinafter expressed and declared of and concerning the same (that is to say) Upon Trust to pay the clear rents and annual profits thereof to my dear Friend Sarah Rotton the younger now living with me during such time as she shall continue Single and unmarried And after the decease or Marriage of the said Sarah Rotton which shall first happen the said Messuages Hereditaments and premises hereinbefore devised with their appurtenances shall be and remain in Trust for William Batts Bell (who is now residing with me and is one of my Three Children or reputed Children by the said Sarah Rotton) and the heirs of his Body lawfully Issuing And for default of such Issue the said Messuage Hereditaments and premises with their appurtenances shall be and remain Upon the Trusts and in manner following (that is to say) As to the Messuage Hereditaments and premises in Bisley aforesaid In Trust for Mary Batts Bell (who is now residing with me and is another of my said Children or reputed Children by the said Sarah Rotton) and the heirs of her Body lawfully Issuing And for default of such Issue In Trust for Elizabeth Batts Bell (who is now residing with me and is another of my said Children or reputed Children by the said Sarah Rotton) and the heirs of her Body lawfully Issuing And for default of such Issue In Trust for my Niece Clara Ogle her heirs and assigns for ever” Now at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater by Edward Smith their attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to A Barn called Old Barn and Lands to the same belonging which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Joseph Bell To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater their heirs and assigns for ever Upon the Trusts and to and for the Intents and purposes mentioned and declared by the said Joseph Bell in and by his said last Will and Testament of and concerning the same by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And they were admitted Tenants thereof (by their said Attorney) in Form aforesaid And the Fine to the Lord for such their admittance was set as appears after And their fealties were respited.
And again at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater by the said Edward Smith their attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to Four acres in the Common Field called Widecroft Half an acre in the Common Field called North hill Four acres and a half in the Common Field called Bircroft One acre of Meadow in Westborne Mead One acre of Meadow in Churchborne Mead Two acres of Coppice called Moltridge and two acres of a Coppice parcel of a Coppice called Church Grove which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Joseph Bell To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater their heirs and assigns for ever Upon the Trusts and to and for the Intents and purposes mentioned and declared by the said Joseph Bell in and by his said last Will and Testament of and concerning the same by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And they were admitted Tenants thereof (by their said Attorney) in Form aforesaid And the Fine to the Lord for such their admittance was set as appears after And their fealties were respited.
And again at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater by the said Edward Smith their attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to certain Customary Lands called Ramps late Whiteings which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Joseph Bell To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater their heirs and assigns for ever Upon the Trusts and to and for the Intents and purposes mentioned and declared by the said Joseph Bell in and by his said last Will and Testament of and concerning the same by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And they were admitted Tenants thereof (by their said Attorney) in Form aforesaid And the Fine to the Lord for such their admittance was set as appears after And their fealties were respited.
And again at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater by the said Edward Smith their attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to one parcel of Land called Ramps by estimation Three acres which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Joseph Bell To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater their heirs and assigns for ever Upon the Trusts and to and for the Intents and purposes mentioned and declared by the said Joseph Bell in and by his said last Will and Testament of and concerning the same by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And they were admitted Tenants thereof (by their said Attorney) in Form aforesaid And the Fine to the Lord for such their admittance was set as appears after And their fealties were respited.
And again at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater by the said Edward Smith their attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to Four acres of Arable Land lying in the Common Field called Neltro and one acre of a Coppice parcel of a Coppice called Church Grove with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Joseph Bell To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater their heirs and assigns for ever Upon the Trusts and to and for the Intents and purposes mentioned and declared by the said Joseph Bell in and by his said last Will and Testament of and concerning the same by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And they were admitted Tenants thereof (by their said Attorney) in Form aforesaid And the Fine to the Lord for such their admittance was set as appears after And their fealties were respited.
And again at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater by the said Edward Smith their attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to One Messuage or Tenement and Garden with the appurtenances called Edmeads which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Joseph Bell To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Caleb Woodyer George Burley and Richard Barry Slater their heirs and assigns for ever Upon the Trusts and to and for the Intents and purposes mentioned and declared by the said Joseph Bell in and by his said last Will and Testament of and concerning the same by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And they were admitted Tenants thereof (by their said Attorney) in Form aforesaid And the Fine for this and their said former Five admittances was set at One hundred and seven pounds to be paid to the Steward aforesaid at his House in Guildford in the said County of Surrey for the use of the Lord of the said Manor on or before the Fifth day of November next ensuing And their fealties were respited.

At this Court  the second Proclamation was made for Isaac Gosden or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to A Messuage or Tenement one Garden and Barn and one Stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within the Manor and Three quarters of an acre of Land there and Four acres of Land with the Appurtenances in the Common Field called Widecroft heretofore the Messuage and Lands of John Cobbett and Elizabeth his Wife And also one acre of Land with the appurtenances lying in the Common Field aforesaid And one acre of Land lying in the Common Field called Bircroft and one acre of Meadow lying in the Common Mead called Woolburns Mead sometime Roger Cobbett’s which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of Hannah Fry the Wife of John Fry and late the Widow of George Gosden deceased as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the second proclamation and Default are here Inrolled.

The Homage also Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey.  Be it remembered that on the second day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven John Edwards of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor came before Joseph Hockley the Elder Gentleman Steward of the said Manor (out of Court) and (in Consideration of  the Sum of Sixty five pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency to him in hand well and truly paid by Thomas Waterer of Crastock in the parish of Woking in the said County of Surrey Yeoman at or immediately before the making this Surrender) Surrendered and by these presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the said Steward according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Messuage or Tenement with the Outhouses Gardens and Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate within this Manor heretofore in the possession of John Towers since of John Stiles late of Sarah Hill and now of the said John Edwards And the reversion and reversion remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And all the Estate Right Title Interest property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said John Edwards of in and to the same Premises To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said Thomas Waterer his heirs and assigns for ever Provided always and upon this Condition Nevertheless that if the said John  Edwards his heirs executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas Waterer his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full Sum of Sixty five pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency with lawful Interest for the same on the Second day of May next ensuing the date hereof without fraud or delay Then this Surrender to be void or else to be and remain in full force and virtue. ~ The mark of X John Edwards ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written By me Joseph Hockley Steward. ~ 2nd November 1811  Received by me John Edwards of and from Thomas Waterer the full sum of Sixty five pounds being the Consideration money mentioned to be paid by him to me in this Surrender  Witness my Hand ~ £65 0s 0d ~ The mark of X John Edwards ~ Witness Joseph Hockley”.
[Margin note:  Be it remembered that on the fifth day of April One thousand eight hundred and fourteen James Waterer Son and sole Executor named in the last Will and Testament of Thomas Water [sic] in this Surrender named Did acknowledge that he had received of and from John Edwards in this Surrender also named all principal and Interest money secured by this Surrender and by writing or warrant under his hand Did authorize and impower the steward of this Manor to enter Satisfaction upon the Court Rolls or Books of this Manor accordingly.  Witness my hand Joseph Hockley Steward  NB see the Authority written on the original Surrender JH.]

The Homage also Present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following (to wit) “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey.  Be it remembered that on the Twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven Richard Barnes of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the Elder Gentleman Steward of the said Manor (out of Court) and (in Consideration of  the Sum of Two hundred and thirty pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency to him in hand well and truly paid by Thomas Waterer of Crastock in the parish of Woking in the said County of Surrey Yeoman) Hath Surrendered and by these presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the said Steward according to the Custom of the said Manor All that parcel of Land with the Appurtenances lying in Four severals containing by estimation Seven acres more or less lying in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor (To which the said Richard Barnes was admitted at a General Court Baron holden for the said Manor the Twenty fourth day of October last on the Surrender of Sarah Sibthorpe) And the reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof And all the Estate Right Title Interest Property Possession Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said John Edwards of in and to the same Hereditaments and Premises To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said Thomas Waterer his heirs and assigns for ever Provided always and upon this Condition Nevertheless that if the said Richard Barnes his heirs executors administrators or Assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas Waterer his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full Sum of Two hundred and thirty pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency with Interest for the same after the Rate of Five pounds for One hundred pounds for a year of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency upon the Twelfth day of May next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. ~ Richard Barnes ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written By me Joseph Hockley Steward. ~ The day and year first above written  Received of the above named Thomas Waterer the full sum of Two hundred and thirty pounds being the Consideration money above mentioned to be paid by him to me  £230 ~ Richard Barnes ~ Witness Joseph Hockley”.
[Margin note:  Be it remembered that on the fourth day of May One thousand eight hundred and forty James Waterer the Grandson and sole personal representative of Thomas Waterer in this Surrender named Did acknowledge that he had received of and from Elizabeth the Wife of William Chandler in whom the premises mentioned in this Surrender had then become vested All Principal and Interest Monies due and owing upon and secured by this Surrender and by warrant or writing under his hand Did authorize and impower the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received the same and such Satisfaction upon the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor accordingly  Witness my hand. The Homage also Present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following (to wit) “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey.  Be it remembered that on the fifteenth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twelve Ann Waterer of Crastock in the parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Widow One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the Elder Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and Hath Surrendered and by these presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the said Steward according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement called Edsawes and four Closes of Land by estimation Four acres and an half with the Buildings Gardens Orchards and Appurtenances thereto belonging (To which she was admitted at a General Court Baron holden for the said Manor the fifteenth day of October One thousand seven hundred and sixty seven on the death of Richard Hodd)  To the Use and Behoof of such person or persons and for such Estate and Estates Uses Trusts Intents and Purposes as she the said Ann Waterer shall in and by her last Will and Testament in Writing or by any writing purporting to be her last Will and Testament Nominate Give Devise Limit Direct or Appoint of and concerning the same ~ Ann Waterer ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written - By the acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Steward.” ~

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person William Eacott one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor and Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid and according to the custom of the said Manor All that parcel of Land containing by estimation Four acres more or less To which he has at this Court before been admitted on the Surrender of James Stevenson alias Stimson and Sarah his Wife To the Use and Behoof of such Person or Persons and for such Estate and Interest therein as he shall in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing Give Devise Limit Direct or Appoint the same.
