At this Court the first proclamation was made for William Eacott or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that parcel of Land by estimation Four acres more or less part of a certain parcel of Land late of Sarah Stimson containing Five acres or thereabouts heretofore inclosed out of the Common Field called Neltro with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of James Stevenson alias Stimson and Sarah his Wife to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and Default are here Inrolled.
The Homage aforesaid being Sworn and Charged on their Oath Do say and present that out of Court and since the last Court to wit on the Thirtieth day of September just past Sarah Sibthorpe of Guildford in the County of Surrey Spinster one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in Consideration of the Said Manor In Consideration of the Sum of Three hundred and six pounds and ten shillings to her paid by Richard Barnes of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the Steward of the said Manor and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that parcel of Land with the appurtenances lying in Four severals containing by estimation Seven acres more or less lying in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor To the only proper and absolute Use and Behoof of the said Richard Barnes his heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Richard Barnes and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said parcel of Land in pursuance of the said surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To Hold to the said Richard Barnes his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned Rent of Six pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in Form aforesaid Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such Admittance as appears in the Margin [£10 10s] And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said Richard Barnes and Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that the said parcel of Land with the appurtenances to which he had immediately before been admitted To the Use of such person and persons and for such Estate and Estates Intents and Purposes as he the said Richard Barnes shall in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing Give Devise Limit Direct or Appoint the same.
The Homage also Present that out of Court and since the last Court to wit on the Thirtieth day of September last past Sarah Sibthorpe of Guildford in the County of Surrey Spinster One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor In Consideration of the Sum of Four hundred and forty three pounds and ten shillings to her paid by James Loveland of the parish of Bisley in the said County of Surrey Yeoman Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the Steward of the said Manor and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Customary Messuage or Tenement with the Orchard formerly in the Tenure of Philip Roberts and one Close of Land to the same belonging containing by estimation One acre more or less One acre of Land more or less in Neltro with the appurtenances And also all that parcel of Arable Land in the Common Field called Neltro in Bisley by estimation one acre more or less and half an acre of Meadow in Churchburne Mead with the appurtenances all lying and being in the Manor of Bisley And also all that Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances called Whichhoode and one Close of Land adjoining by estimation one acre lying in Bisley aforesaid and Two acres of Land and half an acre of Land more or less lying in the Common Field called Neltro And two acres of Land and half an acre of Land lying in the Common Field called Widecroft in the said Manor of Bisley And also one Close of Customary Arable Land late Woodland containing by estimation Two acres more or less and two acres of Land more or less lying in the Common Field called North hill And also all that parcel of Ground containing by estimation one acre and an half more or less called Bisley Mead To the only proper and absolute Use and Behoof of the said James Loveland his heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court the first Proclamation was made for the said James Loveland or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said Customary Messuage or Tenement with the Orchard formerly in the Tenure of Philip Roberts and one Close of Land to the same belonging containing by estimation one acre more or less One acre of Land more or less in Neltro with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of the said Sarah Sibthorpe to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and Default are here Inrolled.

Also one Messuage or Tenement and Garden with the appurtenances called Edmeads by the yearly rent of __________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services Died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon Six Heriots to wit the six best live Beasts of the said Joseph Bell became due to the Lord of this Manor but he had only one Horse which was seized for the use of the Lord for the said Barn called Old Barn and Lands to the same belonging But who is the Heir at Law of the said Joseph Bell or now intitled to the said Six several Estates the Homage know not. Now at this Court the first Proclamation was made for the Heir at Law of the said Joseph Bell or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said Barn called Old Barn and Lands to the same belonging which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Joseph Bell to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and Default are here Inrolled.

The Homage also Present that Hannah Try Wife of John Try and late the Widow of George Gooden deceased who held of the Lord of this Manor for the Term of her Natural Life by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Customary Messuage or Tenement one Garden one Barn and one Stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and Three quarters of an acre of Land there and Four acres of Land with the appurtenances lying in the Common Field called Widecroft heretofore the Messuage and Lands of John Cobbett and Elizabeth his Wife And also one other Acre of Land with the appurtenances lying in the Common Field aforesaid And one acre of Land lying in the Common Field called Burcroft and one acre of Meadow lying in the Common Mead called Westborne Mead sometime Roger Cobbetts Died since the last Court And that Isaac Gosden is the Eldest Son and Heir at Law of the said George Gosden Now at this court the first proclamation was made for the said Isaac Gosden or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said Messuage or Tenement Garden Barn Stable and Lands which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Hannah Try to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and Default are here Inrolled.
The Homage also Present that Sarah Hall Spinster the Daughter of William Hall late of Knapphill in the parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Nurseryman now holds to her and her heirs of the Lord of this Manor as of his said Manor Freely A Cottage with the appurtenances late the Estate of James Hone and since of the said William Hall by the yearly rent of Three pence Suit of Court and other Services.
The Homage also Present that Joseph Bell (whose Death has been at this Court before presented) held of the Lord of this Manor as of his said Manor Freely A Freehold Estate called Attfields consisting of a Messuage or Tenement Barn and Lands by the yearly rent of One shilling and three pence halfpenny Suit of Court and other Services. And also a Freehold Messuage or Tenement Barn and Lands called Lavender Farm by the yearly rent of Two shillings Suit of Court and other Services. But who is now intitled to the same Estates the Homage know not.
The Homage also Present that Alexander Ross now holds to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor as of his said Manor Freely A Messuage and Land late Robert Dovers before Sayers by the yearly rent of Four pence Suit of Court and other Services.
The Homage also Present that James Spong who held to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor as of his said Manor Freely Two acres of Land abutting upon Land formerly of Humphrey Field on the North and West and the Lane leading from Bisley Green towards Velley Green on the East and Two acres of Land in the Common Field called Neltro in Bisley by the yearly rent of one penny Suit of Court and other Services (lately Copyhold but now Enfranchised) hath since the last Court aliened the same to John Draper and his heirs who now enjoys the same.
The Homage also Present that James Loveland now holds to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor as of his said Manor Freely A Tenement called Hallers One Wood called Great West Wood Two acres lying near Palmers Land in South Earsh and one Barn and one Close thereto adjoining between Hallers House and Hallers Grove and one parcel of Land called Hallers Grove by estimation Three acres A parcel of pasture by estimation Two acres abutting upon Westburn Mead One acre of Land in Widecroft A parcel of Land called Butts by estimation half an acre three acres of Land in Widecroft and half an acre of Land in Churchborne Mead (lately Copyhold but now Enfranchised) by the yearly rent of Two pence Suit of Court and other Services. Also a Messuage and Lands called Waters And also a Coppice abutting on Loompitts Lane called Paynes by estimation Six acres late Cobbetts (lately Copyhold but now Enfranchised) by the yearly rent of Two pence Suit of Court and other Services
The Homage also Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court in the Words following (to wit) “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey. Be it Remembered that on the Twenty eighth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Seven James Loveland of Bisley in the County of Surrey Yeoman One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the younger Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court And in Consideration of the Sum of Four hundred pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency to him in hand well and truly paid by Joseph Hockley the Elder of Guildford in the County of Surrey Gentleman Hath Surrendered and by these presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the said Steward and according to the Custom of the said Manor All those two Closes of Arable Land called the Bisley Fields and Float Fields containing by estimation together Ten acres more or less situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor with all and every the appurtenances To which premises the said James Loveland was admitted on the Surrender of John Goreing at a Court Baron held the Eighteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy seven And also all that little Meadow platt called Turks Platt containing one acre of Land more or less And also one acre of Land in Neltro in Two Parcels One acre of Land in Widecroft One Acre of Land in South Earsh and one acre of Wood with the appurtenances All which said last mentioned Five acres are situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor and to which the said James Loveland was admitted on the Surrender of James Hodd at a General Court Baron holden for the said Manor the Eighteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty eight And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And also all the Estate right Title Interest Property Possession Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said James Loveland of in to or out of the same premises and every part and parcel thereof To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said Joseph Hockley the Elder his heirs and assigns for ever according to the Custom of the said Manor Provided always And upon this Condition Nevertheless That if the said James Loveland his heirs executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Joseph Hockley the Elder his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full and just Sum of Four hundred pounds together with Interest for the same after the rate of Five pounds for One hundred pounds for a year of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency upon the Twenty eighth day of March next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void and of no effect, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. ~The Mark of James Loveland~ This Surrender was taken the day and year above written By me Joseph Hockley J.r Stew.d ~In the presence of James Smith~ The day and year first above written Received of Joseph Hockley the Elder the full Sum of Four hundred pounds being the Consideration Money above mentioned to be paid by him to me, Witness my Hand ~ The Mark of X James Loveland~ Witness Joseph Hockley J.r ~ James Smith ~ £400.”
