A Special Court Baron of the Right Honourable George Lord Onslow and Cranley Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor on Thursday the Twenty first Day of October in the Twenty fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c And in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four Before Thomas Sibthorpe Deputy of John Chandler Gentleman Chief Steward there

At this Court came into Court in his Proper Person George Carman of Bisley in the County of Surrey Labourer One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor and  Surrendered by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the acceptance of the said Deputy Steward according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Cottage or Tenement with all the Lands thereunto belonging containing by Estimation One Acre and an half or thereabouts formerly in the Occupation of John Crouch and late of John Carman To the Use and Behoof of Philip Gyles the Younger of Pirbright in the said County of Surrey Gardner his heirs and assigns forever  Whereupon the said Philip Gyles being present here in Court in his Proper Person humbly Prayed to be admitted to the said Premises in pursuance of the said Surrender To Whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward Granted the same To Hold to him the said Philip Gyles his heirs and Assigns forever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of Six Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right accustomed  And he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as Appears in the Margin [£4.4s] He is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and his Fealty is respited.

Also at this Court came into Court in her Proper Person Ann Jarrat Sole Executrix of and Residuary Devisee and Legatee in the last Will and Testament of John Jarrat late of Horsell in the said County Husbandman her late Husband deceased And Suggested that the Principal Sum of Two hundred Pounds lent by the said John Jarrat her late Husband to William Cobbett of Bisley in the said County Yeoman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor on the Seventeenth day of February one thousand seven hundred and Eighty and Secured or intended to be Secured by the said William Cobbetts Surrender dated the same Day of All his Estate Right Title Benefit and Equity of Redemption of him the said William Cobbett of in to and out of All that Tenement with the Appurtenances  called Hallers one Wood called New Croft One Acre of Land called Wide Croft Two Acres and an half more or less lying in Great Westwoods Two Acres of Land lying near Palmers Land in South Earsh And one Barn and One Close thereto adjoining between Hallers House and Hallers Grove with the Appurtenances in Bisley aforesaid  And also all that One Parcel of Land called Longlands containing by Estimation three Acres more or less in Bisley aforesaid And also that one Parcel of Land called Hallers Grove containing by Estimation Three Acres more or less in Bisley aforesaid And also all that Parcel of Pasture containing by Estimation Two Acres in Bisley aforesaid abutting upon the Common Mead called Westburn Mead with the Appurtenances in Bisley aforesaid Still remained due with a considerable Arrear of Interest And therefore the said Ann Jarrat humbly Prayed to be admitted to All that Tenement with the Appurts called Hallers one Wood called New Croft One Acre of Land called Wide Croft Two Acres and an half more or less lying in Great Westwoods Two Acres of Land lying near Palmers Land in South Earsh and one Barn And One Close thereto adjoining between Hallers House and Hallers Grove with the Appurtenances in Bisley aforesaid  To Whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward Granted the same To Hold to her the said Ann Jarrat her Heirs and Assigns forever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right accustomed (Subject nevertheless to such Equity of Redemption as the Heir of the said William Cobbett deceased is intitled unto) And She gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her admittance as Appears afterwards  She is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and her Fealty is respited.
Also at this Court the said Ann Jarrat humbly Prayed to be admitted to All that One Parcel of Land called Longlands containing by Estimation three Acres more or less in Bisley aforesaid according to the said Surrender  To Whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward Granted the same To Hold to her the said Ann Jarrat her Heirs and Assigns forever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right accustomed (Subject nevertheless to such Equity of Redemption as the Heir of the said William Cobbett deceased is intitled unto) And She gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Second Admittance as appears afterwards  She is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and her Fealty is respited.
Also at this Court the said Ann Jarrat humbly Prayed to be admitted to All that one Parcel of Land called Hallers Grove containing by Estimation Three Acres more or less in Bisley aforesaid according to the said Surrender  To Whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward Granted the same To Hold to her the said Ann Jarrat her Heirs and Assigns forever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right accustomed (Subject nevertheless to such Equity of Redemption as the Heir of the said William Cobbett deceased is intitled unto) And She gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her third Admittance as appears afterwards  She is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and her Fealty is respited.
Also at this Court the said Ann Jarrat humbly Prayed to be admitted to All that Parcel of Pasture containing by Estimation Two Acres in Bisley aforesaid abutting upon the Common Mead called Westburn Mead with the Appurtenances in Bisley aforesaid To Whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward Granted the same To Hold to her the said Ann Jarrat her Heirs and Assigns forever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of ________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right accustomed (Subject nevertheless to such Equity of Redemption as the Heir of the said William Cobbett deceased is intitled unto) And She gave to the Lord as a Fine for this and her three former Admittances as appears in the Margin [£17.10s]  She is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and her Fealty is respited.

Be it Remembered that on the Twenty third Day of October one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty four Ann Jarratt of Horsell in the said County Widow One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor Personally came before Thomas Sibthorpe Gentleman Deputy of John Chandler Gentleman Chief Steward of the said Manor And Surrendered by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the acceptance of the said Deputy Steward All and Singular her Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments holden of the said Manor To the Use and Behoof of such Person or Persons for such Estate and Estates and for such uses Intents and Purposes as she the said Ann Jarratt already hath or hereafter shall in or by her last Will and Testament in Writing or any Writing Purporting to be her last Will and Testament Give Devise Limit or Appoint the same.
