A View of Frank Pledge with a Court Baron of the most Honourable Richard Lord Onslow Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor on Wednesday the twentieth day of October in the Second Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Sixty two Before John Chatfield  Gentleman Steward there.

At this Court cometh here into Court in his Proper Person Henry Atfield a Copyhold or Customary Tenant of the said Manor and Surrendered into the Hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Acceptance of the said Steward  All that Customary Messuage or Tenement with the Orchard formerly in the Tenure of Philip Roberts and one Close of Land to the same belonging containing by Estimation One Acre more or less One Acre of Land more or less in Nelthro with the Appurtenances the Messuage being now Untenanted and the Lands in the Occupation of William Cobbett To the use and Behoof of John Field the Younger of Worplesdon in the said County of Surry Cordwainer his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other Use intent or purpose whatsoever  Whereupon at this Court cometh here into Court the said John Field the Younger in his Proper Person and humbly prayed to be Admitted to the said Messuage or Tenement Land and Premises with the Appurtenances To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To hold to him the said John Field the Younger his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the Yearly rent of Ten pence heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Admission as appears in the Margin [] He is Admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the rod and did Fealty to the Lord.
And because it appears to the Court that the said John Field the Younger is under the age of Twenty one Years Viz.t of the Age of Fifteen Years or thereabouts the Custody as well of the person of the said John Field the Younger as of the Estate of him the said John Field is granted to John Field his Father untill the said John Field the Younger shall attain the said Age of Twenty one Years  He the said John Field the Father in all things Observing and keeping the Customs of the said Manor keeping the said Premises respectively in repair and rendring an Account of the rents and Profitts thereof to the said Infant when he shall Attain the Age of twenty one Years And the said John Field the Father is admitted his Guardian accordingly.

The Homage present that Susannah the Wife of Henry Whittall formerly Susanna Badman who held to her and her Heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the Yearly rent of Sixpence heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right accustomed  All that Messuage in Bisley Green with the Edifices Gardens Orchard and Parcel of Land to the same adjoining containing by Estimation half an Acre be the same more or less And also one other parcell of Land containing by Estimation two Acres abutting on the Parsonage Mead on the East part And also one other Parcel of Land to the same adjoining containing by Estimation one Quarter of an Acre lying within the said Manor Died since the last Court And that John Whittall is her Eldest Son and next Heir And that upon the Death of the said Susannah the Wife of the said Henry Whittall there became due and ought to have been seized to the use of the Lord of the said Manor a Heriot to wit the best Animal But that the said Susannah Whitall at the time of her Death had not any Animal Whereupon the first Proclamation is now made That if the said John Whitall or such other person or persons who have a right to be Admitted to the said Messuage and Premises will come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they shall be heard But nobody came And thereupon the First Proclamation and Default is here Inrolled.

At this Court the Third Proclamation was made for the Heir at Law of John Eyres or such other person or persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to the Scite of a certain Copyhold Messuage and Buildings with the Appurtenances in Chateing rowe in the parish of Bisley held of the said Manor by Copy of Court roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom thereof at the Yearly rent of three pence will come into Court and claim the same he she or they should be heard but nobody came The like Proclamation was also made as to the scite of another Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances formerly Towers’s held in like manner by the Yearly rent of Four pence but nobody came And the like Proclamation was also made as to the scite of another Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances
formerly John Martins held by the Yearly rent of ___________ but nobody came and which said three several Tenements came into the Hands of the Lord of the aid Manor upon the Death of the said John Eyres as Presented and Inrolled ata aCourt Baron held for the said Manor the Seventeenth day of October One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Whereupon the third Proclamation and Default to each of the said Three Copyhold Tenements is here Inrolled.
Whereupon afterwards now at this Court It is Commanded that Robert Hunt the Bayliff of this Manor Do Seize the said Scite of the said Messuage and Buildings with their Appurts in Chateing row And also the said Scite of the said Messuage and Buildings with the Appurtenances formerly Towers’s And also the Scite of the said Messuage or Tenement with the Appurtenances John Martins in the Name into the Hands and to the Use of the Lord of this Manor And that he so Certifye to the Steward aforesaid at the next Court to be held for the said Manor in what manner he shall have executed the said Precept of Seizure.
