The Homage present that James Martin who held to him and his Heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord According to the Custom of the said Manor one Messuage Garden and Orchard and the Land thereto belonging with the Appurtenances heretofore in the Occupation of John Snelling and late of the said James Martin by the Yearly Rent of four Pence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right Accustomed And who also held to him and his Heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord According to the Custom of the said Manor All that Messuage or Tenement Situate and lying in Bisley Green with the Barn Stable Edifices Orchard and Garden thereto belonging and two Acres of Land called Palmers and Antonies two Acres of Land in the Common Field called Widecroft and one Close of Land called Westwood with the Appurtenances by the Yearly Rent of one Shilling and Six Pence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right Accustomed died since the last Court (to Wit) the Twenty Fifth day of April last Did Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Acceptance of Richard Hodd and Arthur Harding two other Customary Tenants thereof the said Prem.es of which he as aforesaid Died Seized to such Use or Uses to such Person or Persons and upon such Conditions provisos Trusts or Limitations as he the said James Martin hath or shall by his Last Will and Testament in Writeing Direct Limit Declare and Appoint the same And that the said James Martin did in and by his Last Will and Testament bearing date the Twenty Sixth day of April one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Seven Give and Devise the said first mentioned Tenement with the Appurtenances unto John Chitty Junior of Windlesham his Heirs and Assigns and that he had Devised the said last mentioned Tenement with the Appurtenances to John Chitty the Elder of Windlesham aforesaid Yeoman his Heirs and Assigns In Trust to sell and Dispose thereof for the Purposes directed in his said Will Whereupon at this Court came here into Court in his proper Person the said John Chitty the Younger and humbly prayed to be admitted to the said Messuage or Tenement Land and Premises with their Appurtenances heretofore in the Occupation of John Snelling and late of the said James Martin To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To Hold to him the said John Chitty the Younger his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of four Pence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Admission as Appears in the Margin [£3.10s] he is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.

And after such his Admission as aforesaid came again into Court in his proper Person the said John Chitty the Elder and Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the acceptance of the said Steward the said Messuage or Tenement in Bisley Green with the Barn Stable Edifices Orchard Garden and Lands thereto belonging with the Appurtenances and to which he was at this Court immediately before Admitted To the use and behoof of John Street of Chobham in the County of Surry Blacksmith his Heirs and Assigns forever Whereupon at this Court came here into Court in his proper Person the said John Street and humbly prayed to be Admitted to the said Messuage or Tenement and Premises with the Appurtenances so Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the Manor by the said John Chitty as aforesaid To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To Hold to him the said John Street his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of one Shilling and Six Pence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and he gave to the Lord as Fine for such his Admission as Appears in the Margin [£7.10s] he is Admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.
The Homage also present that James Stiles of Woking in the County of Surry Taylor a Copyhold or Customary Tenant of the said Manor did out of Court and since the last Court (to wit) the Thirtieth day of May in the Year of or Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Seven Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the hands and acceptance of the said Steward All that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Outhouses Gardens and Appurtenances thereunto belonging Situate lying and being within this Manor heretofore in the Possession of John Towers and now of the said John Stiles To the use and behoof of Richard Lee of Egley in the Parish of Wokeing aforesaid Yeoman his Heirs and Assigns for ever Subject to a Proviso for making the said Surrender Void if the said John Stiles his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns or any or either of them should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Richard Lee his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full Sum of Twenty Pounds with Interest for the same after the Rate of four Pounds for the Hundred by the Year of Good and Lawfull Money of Great Britain at or upon the Thirtieth day of November next ensueing the date hereof without any Deduction or Abatement whatsoever to be made or taken out of the same on any Account whatsoever That then the said Surrender to be Void or else to be and remain in full Force and Virtue.
The Homage also present that Mary Edwards Widow and Relict of George Edwards late of Walton upon Thames in the County of Surry Carpenter Deceased did out of Court and since the last Court (to wit) the Twenty Sixth day of July in the Year of or Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Seven Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the acceptance of the said Steward All that Copyhold Messuage Barn Garden Orchard and one Acre and an half of Arrable and Meadow Land with the Appurtenances in the Parish of Bisley then in the Occupation of John Cheeseman To the use and Behoof of Ann the Wife of William Field of Walton upon Thames aforesaid Timber Merchant her Heirs and Assigns for ever Whereupon at this Court came the said Ann Field by William Field her Husband and next Friend and humbly prayed to be Admitted to the said Messuage Land and Premises with their Appurtenances To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To Hold to her the said Ann Field her Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll and the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of one Shilling and Eight Pence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and she by her said next Friend gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Admission as Appears in the Margin [£4.4s] she is Admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod but her Fealty is Respited.
The Homage also present that John Hill of Bisley in the County of Surry Yeoman a Copyhold or Customary Tenant of the said Manor did out of Court and since the last Court (to wit) the Seventeenth day of October in the Year of or Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Seven Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the hands and acceptance of the said Steward All that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement called Radsells Grove with the Barn Buildings Orchards Gardens and all the Lands thereto belonging with the Appurtenances Containing by Estimation five Acres more or less Situate and being in the Parish of Bisley late in the Occupation of William Slaughter and now of the said John Hill To the use and Behoof of William Hall of Knaphill in the Parish of Wokeing in the said County of Surry Gardiner his Heirs and Assigns for ever Subject to a Proviso that if the said John Hill his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns shall and do well and truely pay or Cause to be paid unto the said William Hall his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full Sum of Seventy Pounds with Interest for the same after the Rate of four Pounds for the Hundred by the Year of Good and Lawfull Money of Great Britain at or upon the Seventeenth day of April next ensueing the date thereof without any manner of Deduction or Abatement whatsoever to be made or taken out of the same on any Account whatsoever then the said Surrender to be Void or else to be and remain in full Force and Virtue.
The Homage also present that Jane Goreing whose Death was Presented and entred on the Rolls of the said Court at the last Court did in and by her last Will and Testament bearing date the Tenth day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Six Give and Bequeath unto her Sister Elizabeth Collyers Children and their Heirs and Assigns for ever all and every her Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever or wheresoever charged with the Payment of her Legacies ???? by her said Will given and Devised And the said Homage also Present that the Children of the said Elizabeth Collyer are Elizabeth of the age of Seven Years or thereabouts Ann of the age of five Years or thereabouts Sarah of the age of three Years or thereabouts and Jane of two Years or thereabouts Whereupon at this Court upon the Second Proclamation came the said Elizabeth Collyer the Daughter Ann Collyer Sarah Collyer and Jane Collyer and humbly prayed of the Lord of the said Manor to be Admitted to All that Messuage or Tenement called Cowhurst and two Closes called the Barn Closes Containing by Estimation three Acres and one Close Abutting upon the Barn late of Thomas Blundell Containing by Estimation three Acres and four Acres called Rasdells lying in Bisley with all and Singular their Appurtenances To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To Hold to them the said the said Elizabeth Collyer the Daughter Ann Collyer Sarah Collyer and Jane Collyer their Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of two Shillings and four Pence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and they gave to the Lord as a Fine for such their Admissions as hereafter mentioned [£4.4s] they are Admitted Tenants thereof have Seizin by the Rod but their Fealties are respited.
Whereupon at this Court came again the said Elizabeth Collyer the Daughter Ann Collyer Sarah Collyer and Jane Collyer and humbly prayed to be Admitted to a Parcell of Land called Cobbetts Coppice Containing by Estimation two Acres be the same more or less To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To Hold to them the said Elizabeth Collyer the Daughter Ann Collyer Sarah Collyer and Jane Collyer their Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of two Pence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and they gave to the Lord as a Fine for such their said Several Admissions as appears in the Margin [Fines in ye whole £26.5s.3d] they are Admitted Tenants thereof have Seizin by the Rod but their Fealties are respited. And because it Appears to this Court that the said Elizabeth Collyer the Daughter Ann Collyer Sarah Collyer and Jane Collyer are under the age of Twenty one Years (Viz.t) of the ages aforesaid the Custody as well of the Persons of the said Elizabeth Collyer the Daughter Ann Collyer Sarah Collyer and Jane Collyer as of the said Several Estates of the said Elizabeth Collyer the Daughter Ann Collyer Sarah Collyer and Jane Collyer are Granted to James Collyer their Father untill they shall Attain their said ages of Twenty one Years He the said James Collyer keeping and Observing the customs of the said Manor in all things and keeping the said Premises in good Repair and rendring an Account of the Rents and Profits of the said Premises to the said Infants respectively when they shall respectively Attain the said Age of Twenty one Years and the said James Collyer is Admitted their Guardian accordingly
At this Court came into Court in her proper Person Mary Harding Widow and Devisee of James Harding Deceased and Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the acceptance of the said Steward one Messuage Tenement or Cottage and one Acre of Land with the Appurtenances to the same Adjoining lying in Bisley within the said Manor And also the Scite of a Cottage or Tenement called Vanits and one Acre of Land to the same belonging with the Appurtenances And also one Acre of Land late part of the Waste Adjoining to a Close called Hassell Hill within the said Manor To the use and Behoof of Thomas Wisdom of Yately in the County of Hants Husbandman his Heirs and Assigns Whereupon at this Court came into Court in his proper Person the said Thomas Wisdom and humbly prayed to be Admitted to the said Messuage Tenement or Cottage and one Acre of Land with the Appurtenances To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To Hold to him the said Thomas Wisdom his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of one Shilling Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and they gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Admission as hereafter mentioned he is Admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod but his Fealty is respited.
And also at this Court in his proper Person came again the said Thomas Wisdom and humbly prayed to be Admitted to the said Scite of a Cottage or Tenement called Vanits and the Lands thereto belonging with the Appurtenances To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To Hold to him the said Thomas Wisdom his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of one Shilling and Sixpence Herriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and they gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Admission as appears at the Margin [?] He is Admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod did his Fealty to the Lord.
At this Court the third Proclamation was made for Thomas Washburn Eldest Son and Heir of Thomas Washburn Deceased or such other Person or Persons who hath or have a Right to be Admitted to the Moiety of three Closes of Land with the Appurts of which the said Thomas Washburn died Seized to come into Court and be admitted but nobody came whereupon the third Proclamation in here Inrolled.
