Who being sworn & Charged on the Oath Present Elect & Amerce as follows
In the first place they present that John Friend died since the last Court siezed of one Freehold Estate in this Mannor & a Heriot & fine is due to the Lord of the Mannor this day
They also present that James Harding died since last Court siezed of two Copyhold Estates &
his son James next Heir & there became fines & Herriots due to the Lord of this Mannor They present that John Robinson died since the last Court siezed of one Copyhold Estate & his sister Sarah Collyer was Heir & there became a Fine & Herriot due to the Lord of the Mannor
They present that John Kidder sold one Copyhold Estate to Absolom Dayrelles Esq.r & there became a Fine due to the Lord of this Mannor
They Elect John Crouch Constable for the Year remaining They continue James Miles Tythingman for the Year remaining They continue Arthur Harding Pounder & William Cobbet Aletaster for the Year remaining They also present all those who owe Suit & Services to the Lord of this Mannor & have not appeared here this day to do the same and amerce them in four pence each

Be it remembered that on the fourth day of October instant John Kidder of Warplesdon in the County af.d Brickmaker & Anne his Wife came before Henry Walter Gent Steward of the said Mannor & by his Surrender lawfully stamped & according to the Custom of the sd Mannor (she the said Anne being by the said Steward first solely & Secretly examined and consenting thereto) in Consideration of the Sum of Three hundred & Eighty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to the said John Kidder in hand paid by Solomon Dayrelles of Henley Fort in the Parish of Ash & County of Surry af.d Esquire Did Surrender into the Hands of the Lord of the said Mannor by the acceptance of the said Steward All those Several parcells of Arable & Wood Ground called Widesfield & Newlands Birchet & also one Grove of Wood containing by Estimation two Acres called Gonwins Grove and one plat of Land containing by Estimation Seven Acres in Bisley Wood formerly William Martin’s & also one Close called Nowins lying near Ramhurst Heath all which said prem.es contain together by Estimation thirty & three Acres little more or less are situate in Bisley af.d & held of the said Mannor by Copy of Court Roll and in the yearly Rent of three shillings & four pence & other Customs & Services To the use & behoofe of the said Solomon Dayrelles his Heirs & Assigns for ever Now At this Court came the said Solomon Dayrelles & prayed to be Admitted to the prem.es aforesaid with their & every of their Appurts To whom the Lord by his Steward aforesaid Hath granted the prem.es aforesaid To Have and To Hold to the said Solomon Dayrelles his Heirs & assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Yearly rent of three shillings & ten pence & four pounds of Lawful money of Great Britain on the death of every tennant in lieu of & in full satisfaction for a Herriott and by other Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed & he gave to the Lord as a fine for such his Estate as appears in the Margin [£2 10s] & so he was admitted Tennant had seizin by the Rod & did Fealty to the Lord.
At this Court came James Harding Son & Heir of James Harding dec.d and prayed to be Admitted to all that one Messuage Tenement or Cottage & one Acre of Land with the Appurts to the same Cottage adjoining being in Bisley within this Mannor which came into the Hands of the Lord of the Mannor by the Death of the said James Harding To whom the Lord by his Steward aforesaid Hath granted the prem.es aforesaid To Have and To Hold to the said James Harding his Heirs & Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Yearly Rent of one Shilling Herriott & other Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed & she gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Estate as appears in the Margin [?] & so he was admitted Tennant had Seizin by the Rod & did Fealty to the Lord.
At this Court came James Harding Son & Heir of James Harding dec.d and prayed to be Admitted to all that Cottage or Tenement called Vanitts one Acre of Land to the same belonging with the Appurts and one Acre of Land late part of the Waste adjoining to a Close called Hasel Hill within this Mannor which came into the Hands of the Lord of the Mannor by the Death of the said James Harding To whom the Lord by his Steward aforesaid Hath granted the prem.es aforesaid with the Appurts To Have and To Hold to the said James Harding his Heirs & Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Yearly Rent of One Shilling & six pence & other Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed & she gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Estate as appears in the Margin [£5.8.0] & so he was admitted Tennant had Seizin by the Rod & did Fealty to the Lord.
At this Court came John Goring Eldest brother & Heir of Elizabeth Goring Spinster dec.d and prayed to be Admitted to all that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement Water Yard Outhouses Workshouses Gardens Orchards & backsides thereunto belonging together with a Close of Arable Land thereunto adjoining by Estimation one Acre more or less abutting on the Glebe Land & common there situate in Bisley af.d & now in the Occupation of William Taylor To whom the Lord by his Steward aforesaid Hath granted the prem.es af.sd To Have and To Hold to the said John Goring his Heirs & Assigns for ever (Subject nevertheless to such Equity of Redemption as the Heir of Henry Whittall have therein) by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Rents Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed & she gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Estate as appears in the Margin [Fine as below] & so he was admitted Tennant had Seizin by the Rod & did Fealty to the Lord.
At this Court came John Goring Eldest brother & Heir of Elizabeth Goring dec.d and prayed to be Admitted to all that one Copyhold Messuage or Tenement called or known by the name of Staple Brooks with the Barn & all Outbuildings Orchards Gardens Yards and one Close of Meadow Land by Estimation One Acre more or less abutting on the Land of James Martyr and the Common there situate & being in Bisley aforesaid within the said Mannor & now in the Occupation of John Loveland To whom the Lord by his Steward aforesaid Hath granted the prem.es af.id To Have and To Hold to the said John Goring his Heirs & Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor (subject nevertheless to such Equity of Redemption as the Heir of Henry Whittall dec.d have therein) by the Rents Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed & she gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Estate as appears in the Margin [10.10.] & so he was admitted Tennant had Seizin by the Rod & did Fealty to the Lord.
At this Court proclamation was made that the Heir of John Robinson sho.d come into Court & take out of the Hands of the Lord of the said Mannor a certain Copyhold Estate w.ch the said John Robinson held of the Lord of ths Mannor as the Lord wo.d enter for as forfeitures & no one came.
To all to whom these presents shall come Abel Walter of Woking in the County of Surry Esq.r Lord of the said Mannor sendeth Greeting Whereas at a Court Baron holden for the said Mannor the fourteenth day of October one thousand seven hundred and forty two William Draper of Froyle in the said County of Surrey Esq.r ws admitted Ten.t him & his Heirs on the Surrender of the Rt Honble Hereage Earl of Aylseford To all that one Tmt with a Barns Edifices Garden & Appurts to therein belonging & two parcels of Land called Brooks Ground lying together cont.g by Estim.n three Acres formerly the Lands of Wm Claverley in Bisley af.d and held by the Yearly Rent of two shillings And also two all that one Meadow called ???s Mead by Est. one Acre & an half with the Appurts formerly the Land of the said Wm Claverley held by the Yearly Rent of four pence And also to all that two Closes of Land by Estim.n two Acres and a half w.th the Appurts formerly the Lands of the sd Wm Claverley held by the yearly Rent of one shilling And also to all that one Meadow lying in Churchburn Mead also lying in the Common Field called Widecroft formerly the Land of Wm Claverley held by the Yearly Rent of one Shilling And also to all that one Messuage called Welly with all the Barns Stables Edifices Gardens Orchards & Curtilages to the said Messuage belonging containing by Estimation seven Acres And one Acre called Newbridge Mead by Estim.n five Acres and three Acres of Land by Estimation lying in the Common Field called Widecroft and one Acre of Land by Est.n lying in a Common Field called North Mead & three Closes of Land lying in the Common Field called Northhills and half an Acre of Meadow lying in a Common Field called Westburn Mead & four Acres of Land lying in the Common Field called Neltro with the Apps formerly the Land of Joseph Hone and held by the Yearly Rent of five shillings & one penny halfpenny And also to all those four Acres of Land lying in Northhills & one Acres and half of Land lying in Widecroft with the Appurts & held by the Yearly Rent of Seven pence And also all that Copyhold parcel of Wood ground abutting on Loampitts Land called Paynes by Esti.n Six Acres late Cobbetts of the pound held by the Yearly Rent of four shillings & sixpence And also to all that Close of Land called Northhills containing by Estim.n four Acres & an half formerly parcels of the Land of Henry Cobbett & also of Joseph Hone held the Yearly Rent of ten pence & other Services as in & by a Copy of the Roll of the admission of the said William Draper (relation being thereunto had) may more fully & at large Apply and whereas by the Custom of the said Mannor each of the said Eight several parcels of Land & Prem.es are subject and lyable to the payment of Eight several Herriotts And whereas the said Wm Draper has contracted & Agreed with the said Abel Walter the Lord of the said Mannor to discharge the said Messuages or Tenem.ts Lands & Prem.es of & from seven of the said Eight several Herriotts or any thing in Lieu thereof at & for the price & sum of £32.12s.6d Now know all Men by these presents that in pursuance & performance of the said Agreement & for & in Cons of the said sum of thirty two pounds twelve shillings & sixpence of lawful Money of Great Britain to the said Abel Walter Lord of the said Mannor is here well & Truly paid by the said Wm Draper at or before the ensealing & sharing of these presents (the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged) he the said Abel Walter Lord of the said Mannor for himself his Heirs & Assigns hath remised released & for ever discharged and by these presents Doth remise release & for ever discharge the said Wm Draper his Exor Admors & Assigns & evry of them and also all & singular the said severall Messuages or the Lands & Prem.es of & from the payment of such of the said Eight several Herriotts & every or any of them or any thing in lieu of thereof now or hereafter to become due & payable for or in thereof or of any part or parcel thereof any Custom or useage of the said Mannor for or condley thereof in any way notwithstanding And the said Abel Walter Lord of the said Mannor consents that this Agreement be entered in the Rolls of the said Mannor In Witness whereof the said Abel Walter Esq.r hath hereunto set his hand & seal this thirteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & forty nine fifty: Abel Walter @ Sealed & delivered being first duly stampt in the presence of the Stew.d Henry Walter.
