who being Sworn & Charged Present as Follows. In the first place They present That Moses Evered died since the last Court Seized of a Copyhold Messuage & Five Acres of Land by which there became due to the Lord two Fines & two Heriots & his Son Moses just Heir.
That William Fry died since the last Court Seized of a Five Acres of Copyhold Land & he devised the same to Mary Fry his Wife for her Life.

At this Court the Homage present that William Fry one of the Customary Tennants of this Mannor Surrendered his Copyhold Estates in this Mannor as followeth “Manostium De Bisley Cond Surria. Memorandum this fourth day of August in the first year of the Reign of our most Gracious Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland King Defender of the Faith &ct anno dmi 1727 I William Fry of Bagshot in the Parish of Windlesham in the County of Surry af.d yeoman one of the Customary Tennants of the said Mannor Surrendered by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Mannor by the Acceptance of Humphrey Field & Francis Call two other Customary Tenants of the said Mannor All that four Closes of Meadow & Arable Land called Brizes now laid into three Closes containing together by Estimation Four Acres more or less with their & every of their Appurts lying in the Parish & Mannor of Bisley af.d and now in Possession of George Rempnant Jun.r and also all other my Messuage or Tenement Lands Hereditaments & Prem.es whatsoever holden of the said Mannor To the use & behoofe of such person & persons and to & for such uses Intents & purposes as I the said William Fry shall by my last Will and Testament in writing nominate direct & appoint & to & for no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof I the said William Fry have hereunto set my hand the day & year above written William Fry Humphrey Field X the mark of Francis Call Witness X The Mark of Robert Cobbett”
At this Court came Mary Fry Widow & devisee of William Fry of Bagshot in the said County of Surrey yeoman & prayed to be Admitted under the last Will and Testament of the said William Fry dated the Twentieth day of April one thousand seven hundred & Forty five To all those the said four Closes of Meadow & Arable Land called Brizes now laid into three containing by Estimation Four Acres more or less with the Appurts which came into the Hands of the Lord of this Mannor by the death of the said William Fry To whom the Lord by his Steward af.d hath granted the Prem.es af.d To Have and To Hold to the said Mary Fry & her assigns for & during the Term of her natural life according to the said last Will of the said William Fry by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Mannor by the Rent Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed And she gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Estate as appears in the Margin [£7 10s] & so she was admitted Tennant & had seizin by the Rod
At this Court came John Stedman Son of John Stedman of Bisley Husbandman & prayed to be Admitted to all that half Acre of Land in Churchburn Mead in Bisley af.d with the Appurts which came into the Hands of the Lord of the said Mannor by the death of Daniel Stedman To whom the Lord by his Steward af.d hath granted the Prem.es af.d To Have and To Hold to the said John Stedman & his assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Rent of twopence & other Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed And he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Estate as appears in the Margin [16s] & so he was admitted Tennant had seizin by the Rod & his Fealty to the Lord was respited being an Infant
And because it appears to this Court that the said John Stedman is under the Age of Twenty one years to wit of the age of thirteen years or thereabouts therefore the Custody as well of the body of the said John Stedman as of the Land to which he is admitted is granted to John Stedman his father till he attains his full age so that he pays the Rent & Performs ? Customs therefore formerly due and Renders John’s Son as reasonable account of the prem.es when he shall attain his full age and so he was admitted Guardian & did Fealty to the Lord.
At this Court the Homage present that William Fisher of Crondall in the County of Southampton Taylor one of the Customary Tennants of this Mannor Surrendered his Copyhold Estate in this Mannor as follows Bisley Mannor. Be it remembered that on the third day of June in the Year of our Lord 1746 William Fisher of Crondall in the County of Southampton Taylor one of the Customary Tennants of the s.d Mannor Surrendered and by these Presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Mannor by the Acceptance of the said Moses Evered & James Collyer All that Messuage called Cumbers with the Buildings Garden & Orchard to the said Messuage adjoining by Estimation one Acre with the Appurts in Bisley To the use & behoofe of Samuel Hare of Farnham in the said County of Surry Carpenter & his Heirs for ever Provided always and upon Condition nevertheless that if he the said William Fisher his Heirs Exors Admors or Assigns do & shall well & truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Samuel Hare his Exors Admors or Assigns the full & just sum of Twenty pounds of lawful money& Int.t for the same after the rate of Five pounds for a hundred pounds for a year on or upon the Fourth day of December now next coming or on or before the next General Court to be holden for the said Mannor which shall first & next happen without any deduction or abatement for Taxes or otherwise howsoever Then this Surr.r to be void or else to remain in full force & Virtue William Fisher Taken the day & year first above written within the said Mannor by me + The mark of Moses Evered I The Mark of James Collyer In the Presence of John Lacy
At this Court came Joanne Patient Spinster & prayed to be Admitted to all that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Outbuildings Orchard Garden & Yards Backside thereunto belonging formerly being Carters abutting on the Common on the East & North parts of the Land formerly Thomas Martin‘s on the West & South situate & being in Bisley af.d within the said Mannor which came into the Hands of the Lord of the said Mannor by the Surrender of Elizabeth Patient her mother whch said Surrender was dated the Eighteenth day of November one thousand seven hundred & forty four & was presented & Entered at a Court held for this Mannor the Twenty ninth day of October one thousand seven hundred & Forty five To whom the Lord by his Steward aforesaid hath granted the Prem.es af.d To Have and To Hold to the said Joanne Patient for and during the Term of her Natural Life according to the Surrender af.d by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Rent Customs & Services therefore formerly due & of right accustomed And she gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Estate as appears in the Court Rolls [£1 10s] & so she was admitted Tennant & had seizin by the Rod.
