View of Frank Pledge with a Court Baron of Abel Walter Esq.r there held this Twenty Second day of October 1741 & in the fifteenth year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the Second by Henry Walter Gent Steward there

Who being Sworn on their Oaths & Charged present as follows ~
In the first place they present & Chose
James Smither  Constable
Jeremiah Freeland  Headborough
William Goodener  Hayward for ye year ensuing

They also present That the Widow Fenn died since the last Court seized of an Acre and a half of Copyhold Land and Henry Stedman her Nephew is next Heir

At this Court came Henry Stedman Gent Nephew & Heir of Ann Fenn Widow dece.d  and prayed to be admitted to One Acre in the Common Field called Neltro and half an Acre of Meadow in Churchburne Mead w.th the Appurts formerly of John Rutter which came into the Hands of the Lord of this Mannor by the Death of the said Ann  To whom the Lord by his Steward aforesaid Hath granted the premes aforesaid To Have and to Hold to the said Henry Stedman his Heirs & Assigns for ever By Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Mannor by the Rents Customs & Services therefore fm due and of right accustomed and he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Estate as appears in the Court Roll [£2 2s] and so he was admitted Tennant had Seizin by the Rod but his Fealty was respited.

At this Court came George Clifton of Bisley Servant and prayed to be admitted To all that Moyety of one Cottage Garden Orchard and a piece of Land lately waste ground lying in a Lane called Queen Lane w.th the Appurtenances w.ch was Surrendered into the Hands of the Lord by the Acceptance of the Steward to the said George Clifton his Heirs & Ass.s by Henry Wickman  To whom the Lord by his Steward af.d hath granted the premes af.d To Have and to Hold to the said George Clifton his Heirs & Ass.s for ever By Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Rents suit of ct & other Customs & Services therefore due & of right accustomed and he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Estate as appears in the Margin [£2 6s] & so he was admitted Tennant had Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.
