Bisley Manor Court Roll 20 May 1903
At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable William Hillier Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor on Wednesday the Twentieth day of May in the third year of the reign of Our Sovereign Lord Edward the Seventh and in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three Before Humphrey Percy Smallpeice Gentleman Deputy of Frederic Ferdinand Smallpeice Gentleman Chief Steward there.
Death of Frederick Wade
At this Court came here into Court Robert Edward Wade of No. Strathearn Stondon Park Honor Oak in the County of Surrey Commercial Clerk and Arthur Page of 164 Bermondsey Street Southwark in the same County Oilman by Ferdinand William Smallpeice their Attorney and informed the said Deputy Steward that Frederick Wade late one of the copyhold or customary tenants of this Manor who held to him and his heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor All that piece or parcel of land containing by estimation one acre and a half or thereabouts with the messuage or tenement and other buildings thereupon erected and set up by John Field in Bisley aforesaid by the yearly rent of Six pence Heriot when it should happen suit of Court and other services And also all that piece or parcel of land containing Two roods and twenty four perches situate in Westbourne Common which under the award of the Commissioner appointed to enclose the Common Fields within the Parish of Bisley was awarded and allotted to John Robinson in lieu of all that one acre of meadow lying in the Common Mead called Westbourne within the said Manor by the yearly rent of Two pence Heriot when it should happen suit of Court and other services and customs And also all that piece or parcel of the waste of this Manor situate at Bisley Green containing by estimation Forty rods more or less bounded on the South by the highway leading from Chobham to Frimley on the West by the waste of this Manor on the North by property lately belonging to Frederick Wade and on the East by property belonging to William Tringham by the yearly rent of One penny Heriot certain Two shillings and six pence Suit of Court and other services and customs died since the last General Court so thereof seised Whereupon two heriots of the best live beasts of the said Frederick Wade and a heriot certain of Two shillings and six pence became due to the Lord of this Manor but the former were not seized because the said Frederick Wade had no live beasts at the time of his death
His Will
And the said Robert Edward Wade and Arthur Page came here again into Court by their said Attorney and produced the Probate of the Will of the said Frederick Wade which Will bears date the Twenty second day of July One thousand nine hundred and two Whereby the said Frederick Wade appointed his son the said Robert Edward Wade and his son-in-law the said Arthur Page to be the Executors and Trustees of that his Will and after certain specific and pecuniary bequests he gave devised and bequeathed all the rest residue and remainder of his estate and effects whatsoever both real and personal unto his Trustees Upon trust as therein mentioned

Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Robert Edward Wade and Arthur Page by their said Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenants to All that the said piece or parcel of land containing by estimation one acre and a half or thereabouts with the messuage or tenement and other buildings thereupon erected and set up by John Field in Bisley aforesaid which came into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor on the death of the said Frederick Wade deceased To whom the Lord of the manor aforesaid by his Deputy Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seisin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Robert Edward Wade and Arthur Page their heirs and assigns for ever upon the trusts of and declared by the said Will of the said Frederick Wade deceased by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Six pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were by their said Attorney admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such their admittances as appears afterwards and their fealty was respited
