The General Court Baron of The Right Honorable Arthur George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Friday the tenth day of May and in the Twenty fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and sixty one Before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward there.

Admittance of William Eacott
At this Court upon the second proclamation came here into Court in his own proper person William Eacott and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that piece or parcel of land Parcel of the waste of the said Manor lying in Bisley Green containing about thirty rods as the same was enclosed by Thomas Eacott And also All that Cottage or Tenement thereon erected Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Surrender of James Willis To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said William Eacott his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of one penny heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£5 15s] and his fealty was respited.
Conditional Surrender John Faggetter to Elizabeth Martin
The Homage aforesaid being Sworn and charged on their Oath do present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the following words to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey. Be it remembered that on the twentieth day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty John Faggetter of Pirbright in the County of Surrey Victualler one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said manor of Bisley came before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and in consideration of the Sum of Eighty Pounds sterling to him the said John Faggetter in hand well and truly paid by Elizabeth Martin of Guildford in the said County Spinster Hath Surrendered and Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the Steward of the said Manor and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that piece or parcel of Land late parcel of the Waste of this Manor lying near Staveke Lake containing by estimation Seventy rods more or less lately inclosed together with the Three Cottages or Tenements thereupon erected and set up now in the occupation of James Hill George Mitchell and ________ Boylett with the Appurtenances in Bisley held by the yearly rent of One penny heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services to all which Premises the said John Faggetter was admitted Tenant at a General Court Baron holden for the said Manor on the twenty third day of October one thousand eight hundred and fifty two And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And also all the Estate right title interest Property Possession Claim and demand whatsoever of the said John Faggetter of in to or out of the same premises and every part and parcel thereof To the only Proper and Absolute use and Behoof of the said Elizabeth Martin her heirs and assigns for ever according to the Custom of the said Manor Provided always and upon this Condition nevertheless that if the said John Faggetter his heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Elizabeth Martin her executors administrators or assigns the Sum of Eighty pounds together with interest for the same after the rate of five pounds for One hundred Pounds for a year upon the twentieth day of April next ensuing the date hereof Then this surrender to be void and of none effect otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue John Faggetter This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written By the Acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Steward Received on the day and year first above written of and from the above named Elizabeth Martin the sum of Eighty pounds being the Consideration money above mentioned to be paid by her to me £80 John Faggetter Witness Philip W Lovett Sol.r Guildford.”
Consent of the Homage to George Holts inclosure
At this Court the Homage do consent and agree that the Lord of this Manor may grant by Copy of Court Roll for such Estate as he may think proper to George Holt of Guildford in the County of Surrey Upholsterer and his heirs All that Piece or Parcel of the Waste of this Manor lying and being at Staverk lake in the said Manor adjoining to the property belonging to the said George Holt on the South side thereof containing about one Acre more or less And Also All that piece or parcel of the Waste of this Manor lying opposite to the said property Called Staveck lake and adjoining to other property of the said George Holt on the North side thereof and Containing about one Acre more or less and that the said George Holt may inclose the said piece or parcel of land and hold the same inclosed for ever hereafter
Grant to George Holt
Now at this Court the Lord of this Manor by his Steward aforesaid doth as far as in him lieth and he lawfully can or may with the Consent of the Homage grant to the said George Holt All that Piece or Parcel of the Waste of this Manor lying and being at Staveck lake in the said Manor and adjoining to the property belonging to the said George Holt on the South side thereof containing about one Acre more or less And Also All that piece or parcel of the Waste of this Manor lying opposite to the said property Called Staveck lake and adjoining to other property of the said George Holt on the North side thereof and Containing about one Acre more or less To have and to hold the same unto the said George Holt his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Sixpence Heriot certain five shillings on the death of every Tenant dying seized thereof or of any part thereof suit of Court at the Courts Baron to be held for the said Manor Fine at the will of the Lord and such other services as are Customarily rendered by the Copyhold Tenant of the said Manor And so the said George Holt was admitted Tenant thereof accordingly hath seizin by the rod and giveth to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [10s] and his fealty was respited.
Release of Equity of Redemption by James Collyer
The Homage aforesaid a certain Deed Poll or instrument in writing in the words following to wit “To all to whom the Presents shall come I James Collyer of Brookwood in the parish of Woking in the County of Surrey Laborer Send Greeting Whereas Mary Collyer late of Bisley in the said County Widow one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the Manor of Bisley in the said County did out of Court on the sixteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and fifty six surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor in consideration of the sum of Twenty Pounds to her Paid by Thomas Cherryman of Knaphill in the parish of Horsell in the said County of Surrey Cordwainer All the hereditaments and premises hereinafter described and intended to be hereby released To the use of the said Thomas Cherryman his heirs and assigns for ever Upon Condition nevertheless to be void if the said Mary Collyer her heirs executors administrators or assigns should pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas Cherryman his executors administrators or assigns the full sum of Twenty pounds together with interest for the same after the rate of five pounds for one hundred pounds for a year upon the sixteenth day of August then next ensuing And whereas the said Mary Collyer departed this life on the twenty eighth day of March One thousand eight hundred and sixty a Widow and Intestate And whereas the said Thomas Cherryman was at a General Court Baron held for the said Manor of Bisley on the sixteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty duly admitted to the said hereditaments and premises subject nevertheless to such rights and equity of redemption as were then subsisting therein under the said recited Conditional Surrender And whereas I the said James Collyer am the eldest son and heir at Law of the said Mary Collyer deceased And whereas the said Thomas Cherryman hath contracted and agreed with me the said James Collyer for the absolute sale to him of All my right equity and benefit of redemption Claim and demand whatsoever of and in the hereditaments and premises hereinafter described and intended to be hereby released at or for the prise or sum of Six pounds Now Know Ye that for and in consideration of the said sum of six pounds sterling to me in hand immediately before the execution of these presents well and truly paid by the said Thomas Cherryman I the said James Collyer do hereby release and for ever quit Claim unto the said Thomas Cherryman and his heirs according to the Custom of the said Manor of Bisley All the Estate right title interest trust power property benefit claim and demand whatsoever both at law and in equity of me the said James Collyer of and in All that piece or parcel of land late parcel of the Waste of the said Manor lying near Riding Hill containing by estimation Eighty rods formerly inclosed by James Hill and upon which he erected and set up a Cottage or Tenement together with the said Cottage or Tenement with the Appurtenances To the use and behoof of the said Thomas Cherryman his heirs and assigns for ever according to the Custom of the said Manor freed and absolutely discharged of and from all the Estate right title claim and demand whatsoever both at law and in Equity of me the said James Collyer of in to or out of the said hereditaments and premises and every part and parcel thereof respectively with the Appurtenances so that neither I the said James Collyer nor my heirs may have claim challenge or demand therein or thereto any Estate right title or interest whatsoever but shall for ever hereafter be therefrom by this Release precluded and barred In Witness whereof I the said James Collyer have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty one James Collyer (LS) Signed sealed and delivered by the said James Collyer in the presence of Edw.d Cha.s Quilley Clerk to Mess.rs Hockley and Russell Sol.rs Guildford Received the day and year last above written the sum of six pounds being the consideration money above mentioned to be paid to me £6. Absolute Surrender Thomas Cherryman to John Hill
At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Thomas Cherryman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said manor and in consideration of the Sum of Thirty Pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by John Hill of Bisley in the County of Surrey Laborer surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that piece or parcel of land parcel of the Waste of the said manor lying near Riding Hill containing by estimation eighty rods more or less lately inclosed by James Hill and upon which he erected and set up a Cottage or Tenement together with the Cottage or Tenement with the appurtenances To the only proper and absolute use and Behoof of the said John Hill his heirs and assigns for ever

Death of James Searle
The Homage also present that James Searle one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to him and his heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said manor All that Customary Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances called or known as part of Collyers with the Edifices buildings barns Stable Garden orchard and all and singular the customary lands to the same messuage belonging and appertaining situate lying and being in the parish of Bisley within the said manor comprizing the several pieces or parcels of land hereinafter more particularly mentioned and described (that is to say) All that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Orchard Field and containing by estimation two acres be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Ford Mead and containing by estimation three acres and an half be the same more or less And also All that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Coneyberry field containing by estimation three acres more or less by the yearly rent of three shillings and three pence heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services Died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon a Heriot to wit the best live beast of the said James Searle became due to the Lord of this manor And that a pig and compounded for by his Executors at the sum of Eleven shillings.
And the Homage also present that James Rempnant Searle is the eldest son of the said James Searle and that they believe the said James Searle made a will previous to his death
1st Proclamation
Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for James Rempnant Searle or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that customary Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances called or known as part of Collyers with the Edifices buildings barns Stable garden orchard and all and singular the lands to the same messuage belonging and appertaining situate lying and being in the parish of Bisley within the said Manor comprising the several pieces or parcels of land hereinafter more particularly mentioned and described (that is to say) All that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Orchard Field and containing by estimation two acres And also All that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Ford Mead and containing by estimation three acres and an half And also All that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Coneyberry field containing by estimation three acres Together with all and singular the appurtenances to the said Messuage or Tenement belonging Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said James Searle to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first Proclamation and default are here inrolled.
Will of John Robinson
The Homage also present that John Robinson whose death was presented at a General Court Baron held for this manor on the Seventeenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty duly made and published his last Will and Testament in writing (the probate whereof was produced and read in open Court) and which was partly in the words following to wit “In the Name of God Amen This is the last Will and Testament of me John Robinson of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Shoemaker I give and bequeath unto All my dear children as hereunder named To my Son Charles Robinson my daughter Sarah Anne Robinson Spinster my daughter Elizabeth Robinson Spinster my daughter Mary who is now married to Mr. James Hill Farmer living in Bailey Mow lane in the parish of Bisley and to my daughter Eliza Palmer who is also married to Mr. Robert Henry Howard living at Richmond in the County of Surrey Milkman Now it is my Will and wish that all my aforesaid children shall share and share alike that is in equal parts and I further wish as my last will that my Executors hereinafter named shall see this my Will carried out so that one and all my children may have equal parts as their share of the several properties hereinafter named that is to say I have two freehold Cottages with gardens and situated at Bagshot in the parish of Windlesham in the County of Surrey one in the occupation of Mr Clarke and the other in the occupation of Mr Taylor as tenants at Will I have also a freehold house and garden and Sheds situate at Miles Green in the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey now in the occupation of Mr Warren as Tenant at Will and I have also two Copyhold houses situated in Bisley Green in the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey one being in the occupation of Henry Edwards and the other in the occupation of Mr Sawyer both tenants at Will I have also a Copyhold Estate situate in Chatten row consisting of three houses with yards Sheds Stables and piggeries with garden and orchard attached thereto one house being in my own occupation one being also in the occupation of my Son Charles Robinson and the other one in the occupation of Mr George Hill as Tenants at Will (I give the whole of the Bees I die possessed to my Granddaughter) I have also live and dead Stock which together with whatever Bees I die possessed and household furniture plate linen and money in the House at the time of my death Now it is my Will and wish that after my just debts and funeral expenses are paid that whatever may be left shall be equally divided by sale or division one paying the other out by purchasing any Estate as they may agree so that one and all may be satisfied with their lot It is also my Will that my several daughters shall have their share to themselves their Husbands if married having no claim or title thereto whatsoever neither shall their property so left by me be subject to the debts of such husband or husbands And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Son Charles Robinson and my daughter Sarah Ann Executor and Executrix to this my last Will and Testament written of four sheets of paper and I do publish and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament to the first second third and fourth sheets of paper I put my hand and the fourth and last my hand and seal this sixteenth day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixty.
2nd Proclamation on Death of John Robinson
Now at this Court the second proclamation was made for the said Charles Robinson or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that Messuage or Tenement with the outhouses gardens and appurtenances thereto belonging within this manor hereinbefore in the occupation of John Towers since of John Stiles late of Sarah Hill and late of John Edwards and now of _____________ Together with the messuages or Tenements and buildings since erected on the said premises by the said John Robinson Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Robinson to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the second Proclamation and default are here inrolled.
2nd Proclamation on Death of the same
Also at this Court the second proclamation was made for the said Charles Robinson or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that customary Messuage or Tenement (now in two Tenements) with the appurtenances together with the edifices buildings garden orchard and Curtilage to the said Messuage or Tenement belonging (except about forty rods parcel of the said Garden sold to John Daborn) situate lying and being in Bisley Green in the parish of Bisley aforesaid abutting on the said Green on the South North and East parts heretofore in the occupation of George Slyfield late of ___ Floyd and then of Thomas Eacott Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Robinson to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the second Proclamation and default are here inrolled.
Consent of the Homage to Richard Lovelands inclosure
At this Court the Homage do consent and agree that the Lord of this Manor may grant by Copy of Court Roll for such Estate as he may think proper unto to Richard Loveland of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer and his heirs All that Piece or Parcel of the Waste of this Manor lying at Chatten Row Bisley aforesaid and adjoining to certain property there belonging to the said Richard Loveland on the West side thereof and is bounded on the North by a Lane on the East by the Highroad and on the South by the Waste containing about fifty rods more or less And that the said Richard Loveland may inclose the said piece or parcel of land and hold the same inclosed for ever hereafter

At this Court the Homage do consent and agree that the Lord of this Manor may grant by Copy of Court Roll for such Estate as he may think proper unto James Bedford of Knaphill in the County of Surrey Grocer All that Piece or Parcel of the Waste of this Manor situate at Knaphill lane and containing about thirty rods more or less and which said piece or parcel of land is bounded on the South by the Highway road leading to Bisley and adjoins to certain premises belonging to the said James Bedford And that the said James Bedford may inclose the said piece or parcel of land and hold the same inclosed for ever hereafter

Encroachment by William Tringham and K B Wade
The Homage Present that Mr. William Tringham has encroached on the waste of this manor by inclosing about fifteen rods of the waste in front of his property situate at Bisley Green in this manor And that Mr. Wade has also encroached on the waste of this manor by inclosing about forty rods adjoining to the before mentioned encroachment
And the Homage consent and agree that the Lord of the Manor should either make the Ordinary Grants of such pieces of the waste to the parties respectively or throw them out as to him on view thereof by his Bailiff shall seem best
