The General Court Baron of The Right Honorable Arthur George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor there held in and for the said Manor on Monday the seventeenth day of May in the fifteenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen defender of the Faith and in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty two Before Edmund Vincent Gentleman Steward there.

2nd Proclamation on the Death of John Hill
At this Court the second proclamation was made for James Hill or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that piece or parcel of Land lately inclosed from the Waste containing by estimation one acre and twenty two roods at Riding hill on the South West side of a Garden late of John Hill within this Manor Which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Hill to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the second proclamation and default are enrolled.

Absolute Surrender Thomas Loveland to Joseph Hockley
The Homage aforesaid being Sworn and charged on their Oath present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court to wit on the fifth day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifty one  Whereby Thomas Loveland of Bisley in the County of Surrey Yeoman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor out of Court in Consideration of the Sum of One thousand pounds part of a larger sum of money due and owing from the said Thomas Loveland to Joseph Hockley of Guildford in the County of Surrey Gentleman upon Mortgage of the copyhold hereditaments hereinafter particularly mentioned and which said sum of one thousand pounds is the apportioned part for the particular of the said copyhold hereditaments of the sum of one thousand four hundred and seventy four pounds agreed to be given by the said Joseph Hockley to the said Thomas Loveland for the purchase of the same together with certain freehold hereditaments Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of Edmund Vincent Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor according to the Custom of the said Manor  All that one Tenement with a Barn edifices gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging and two parcels of land called Brook Ground lying together containing by estimation three acres formerly the Lands of William Claverley and since of the Earl of Aylesford Also all that one meadow called little mead by estimation one acre and an half with the appurtenances formerly the Land of the said William Claverley and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor And also all those two Closes of land by estimation two acres and an half with the appurtenances formerly the Land of the said William Claverley and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor And also all that one Meadow lying in Churchburn mead and one acre lying in the common field called Wide Croft formerly the lands of William Claverley and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor And also all that one messuage called Wellers with all the Barns Stables edifices gardens orchards and Curtilages to the said messuage belonging and three Closes of land to the same belonging containing by estimation seven acres and one meadow called Newbridge mead by estimation two acres and three acres of land by estimation lying in the common field called Hill Croft and one acre of land by estimation lying in the common field called South Earsh and three acres of land lying in the common field called North Hills and half an acre of meadow lying in a common field called Westburn mead and four acres of land by estimation lying in the common field called Neltro with the appurtenances formerly the Land of Joseph Hone and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor And also all those four acres of land lying in North Hills and one acre and an half of land lying in Widecroft with the appurtenances in the said Parish and Manor And also all that close of land called North hills Containing by estimation four acres and an half formerly parcel of the land of Henry Cobbett and afterwards of Joseph Hone and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor And all other the copyhold lands tenements  hereditaments whatsoever of him the said Thomas Loveland situate lying and being within and holden of the said Manor To the use and behoof of the said Joseph Hockley his heirs and assigns for ever

Admittance of Joseph Hockley
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Joseph Hockley (by Thomas Vincent his Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that the said one Tenement with the barn edifices gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging and two parcels of land called Brook ground lying together containing by estimation three acres in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Joseph Hockley his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of two shillings Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£4 14s 6d] and his fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Joseph Hockley (by the said Thomas Vincent his Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that the said one meadow called Little mead by estimation one acre and an half with the appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Joseph Hockley his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of four pence Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£3 3s] and his fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Joseph Hockley (by the said Thomas Vincent his Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All those the said two closes of land by estimation two acres and an half with the appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Joseph Hockley his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of one shilling Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£3 18s 9d] and his fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Joseph Hockley (by the said Thomas Vincent his Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that the said one messuage called Wellers with all the Barns Stables edifices gardens orchards and Curtilages to the said messuage belonging and three Closes of land to the same belonging containing by estimation seven acres and one meadow called Newbridge mead by estimation two acres and three acres of land by estimation lying in the common field called Hill Croft and one acre of land by estimation lying in the common field called South Earsh and three acres of land lying in the common field called North Hills and half an acre of meadow lying in a common field called Westburn mead and four acres of land by estimation lying in the common field called Neltro with the appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Joseph Hockley his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of five shillings and one penny halfpenny Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£32 15s 9d] and his fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Joseph Hockley (by the said Thomas Vincent his Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All those the said four acres of land lying in North Hills and one acre and an half of land lying in Widecroft with the appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Joseph Hockley his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of seven pence Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£8 18s 8d] and his fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Joseph Hockley (by the said Thomas Vincent his Attorney) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that the close of land called North hills Containing by estimation four acres and an half in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Joseph Hockley his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ten pence Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£6 16s 9d] and his fealty was respited.

Absolute Surrender James Rogers to Richard Collyer
The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court to wit on the seventh day of July one thousand eight hundred and fifty one  Whereby James Rogers of the parish of Chobham in the County of Surrey Farmer one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor out of Court in Consideration of the Sum of Five hundred and Sixty pounds to him paid by Richard Collyer of the said parish of Chobham Gentleman Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of William Chandler and William Daborn two other Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor according to the Custom of the same Manor  All that Copyhold messuage or Tenement now used as two Tenements with the gardens orchards backsides edifices and buildings thereunto belonging with the appurtenances containing by admeasurement  one rood and twenty eight perches (little more or less) Also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land containing by admeasurement two acres two roods and twenty perches (little more or less) and commonly called or known by the name of the Strip And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land containing by admeasurement two acres two roods and thirty one perches (little more or less) commonly called or known by the name of the long two acres And also all that piece or parcel of Meadow Land Containing by admeasurement three acres three roods and thirty perches (little more or less) and Commonly called or known by the name of the Trully meadow And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land Containing by admeasurement four acres and six perches (little more or less) and Commonly called or known by the name of Hatchett field And also all that piece or parcel of Meadow Land Containing by admeasurement one acre three roods and twenty eight perches (little more or less) and Commonly called or known by the name of furze field with their and every of their appurtenances All which said hereditaments and premises are situate in the said Manor of Bisley and are held by one Copy of Court Roll under the description of “All that copyhold messuage or Tenement gardens Orchards backsides edifices and other buildings whatsoever thereunto belonging with the appurtenances with two Closes of Arable Land near adjoining Containing together by estimation Six acres (more or less) one other piece or parcel of Meadow Land Containing by estimation four acres (more or less) and also three Closes more of Arable or pasture land lying and abutting upon some part of Bisley Green” And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land containing by admeasurement two roods and thirty five perches (little more or less) commonly called or known by the name of Port Lane plat And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land Containing by admeasurement one acre three roods and three perches (little more or less) situate in Widecroft Common field and abutting on the Land of John Robinson on the North East part and the land of Isaac Gosden on the South West part  And also all that piece or parcel of meadow Land Containing by admeasurement one rood and twenty nine perches (little more or less) situated in Churchburn Meadow abutting on the land of Mr Bell on the North part and the land of William Chandler on the South part with their and every of their appurtenances All which said Lands and hereditaments are situate in the said Manor of Bisley and are held by one other Copy of Court Roll under the description of  “All that parcel of land with the appurtenances called Butts Containing by estimation half an acre three acres of land with the appurtenances lying in the Common field called Wide Croft and half an acre of meadow with the appurtenances lying in Churchburn mead in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor (save and except all that one Acre of land lying in Wide Croft within this Manor abutting West on Land of Henry Street North on Land belonging to John Loveland East on Land belonging to the said John Loveland and South on land belonging to James Martin which Henry Rogers Surrendered to and to the use of John Loveland” And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land formerly in two pieces Containing by admeasurement (exclusive of a piece of freehold land adjoining thereto Containing thirty eight perches situate in the parish of Chobham) Six Acres one rood and three perches (little more or less) and commonly called or known by the name of North Hills And also all that piece or parcel of meadow land Containing by admeasurement two roods and twenty five perches (little more or less) being part and parcel of a mead (the remaining part whereof is freehold situate in the said parish of Chobham) with their and every of their appurtenances All which said Lands and hereditaments are situate in the said Manor of Bisley and are held by one other Copy of Court Roll under the description of  “All those two parcels of Arable and one parcel of meadow Land with the appurtenances lying in Bisley within this Manor” To the Use and Behoof of the said Richard Collyer his heirs and assigns for ever

Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Richard Collyer and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that Copyhold messuage or Tenement (now used as two Tenements) with the gardens orchards backsides edifices and buildings thereunto belonging with the appurtenances containing by admeasurement  one rood and twenty eight perches (little more or less) And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land containing by admeasurement two acres two roods and twenty perches (little more or less) and commonly called or known by the name of the Strip And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land Containing by admeasurement two acres two roods and thirty one perches (little more or less)  and Commonly called or known by the name of the Long two Acres And also all that piece or parcel of meadow land Containing by admeasurement three acres three roods and thirty perches (little more or less) and Commonly called or known by the name of the Trully meadow And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land Containing by admeasurement four acres and six perches (little more or less) and Commonly called or known by the name of Hatchett field And also all that piece or parcel of Meadow Land Containing by admeasurement one acre three roods and twenty eight perches (little more or less) and Commonly called or known by the name of Furze field with their and every of their appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Richard Collyer his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two shillings heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£26 10s] and his fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court in his proper person the said Richard Collyer and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that piece or parcel of Arable Land containing by admeasurement two roods and thirty five perches (little more or less) commonly called or known by the name of Port Lane plat And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land Containing by admeasurement one acre three roods and three perches (little more or less) situate in Widecroft Common field and abutting on the Land of John Robinson on the North East part and the land of Isaac Gosden on the South West part  And also all that piece or parcel of meadow Land Containing by admeasurement one rood and twenty nine perches (more or less) situated in Churchburn Meadow abutting on the land of Mr Bell on the North part and the land of William Chandler on the South part with their and every of their appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Richard Collyer his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of one shilling heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£6] and his fealty was respited.

And also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court in his proper person the said Richard Collyer and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that piece or parcel of Arable Land (formerly in two pieces) Containing by admeasurement (exclusive of a piece of freehold land adjoining thereto Containing thirty eight perches situate in the parish of Chobham) Six Acres one rood and three perches (more or less) and commonly called or known by the name of North Hills And also all that piece or parcel of meadow land Containing by admeasurement two roods and twenty five perches (more or less) being part and parcel of a mead called Barn mead (the remaining part whereof is freehold and situate in the said parish of Chobham) with their and every of their appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Richard Collyer his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ten pence heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£10 10s] and his fealty was respited.
