The General Court Baron of The Right Honorable Arthur George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor there held in and for the said Manor on Thursday the sixteenth day of May in the thirteenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen defender of the Faith and in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty Before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward there.

Grant to Henry William Richard Westgarth Halsey Esq.re
At this Court the Lord of this Manor by his Steward aforesaid Doth grant to Henry William Richard Westgarth Halsey Esquire and his heirs All those several parcels of Arable and wood ground called Widestrod and Newlands Burchet and also one grove of wood containing by estimation two acres called Gonwins Grove and one plot of Land containing by estimation seven acres in Bisley Wood formerly William Martins and also one Croft called Newins lying near Ramshurst heath All which premises were heretofore said to contain together Thirty and three Aces little more or less and are situate in Bisley and held of the said Manor But which said Lands are now known and distinguished by the several names and contain by admeasurement the quantities following that is to say Long Mead four acres three roods and eighteen perches the five Acres five acres three roods and twenty six perches the Six Acres seven acres and twenty eight perches Miles Green five acres and three roods the Corner Field two acres three roods and five perches Oak field six acres and two perches and the four Acres five acres one rood and thirty one perches altogether thirty seven acres three roods and thirty perches and which said premises are now in the hands of the Lord of this Manor as a forfeiture thereof for cutting Timber without Licence as presented at the last General Court Baron held in and for the said Manor And thereupon the said Henry William Richard Westgarth Halsey (by Edmund Vincent his attorney) humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Copyhold Lands and Premises in pursuance of the said Grant To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Henry William Richard Westgarth Halsey his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of three shillings and ten pence and four pounds in lieu of an Heriot on the death of every Tenant Suit of Court and other Services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid and the fine for such his admittance was set at Seventy pounds to be paid to the Steward aforesaid or his Deputy at the Public House called the Hen and Chickens in Bisley within this Manor for the use of the Lord of the said Manor on Monday the seventeenth day of June next between four and six o clock in the afternoon and his fealty was respited.

Death of Joseph Bedford
The Homage aforesaid being sworn and charged on their Oath present that Joseph Bedford late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor who held to him and his heirs by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All that one messuage or Tenement and three closes of Land containing by estimation two acres more or less formerly in the possession of Henry Hayward by the yearly rent of sixpence heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other customs and services Died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon an heriot to wit the best live beast of the said Joseph Bedford became due to the Lord of this Manor but that none was seized he having no live annimal at the time of his decease And the Homage also present that James Bedford is the Eldest son and heir by the custom of this manor of the said Joseph Bedford
Admittance of James Bedford
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Bedford and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that the said one messuage or Tenement and three closes of Land containing by estimation two acres more or less which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Joseph Bedford To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said James Bedford his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of sixpence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof (by his said Attorney) in form aforesaid The fine to the Lord for such his admittance was set at Twenty pounds to be paid to the Steward aforesaid or his Deputy at the Public House called the Hen and Chickens in Bisley aforesaid for the use of the Lord of the said Manor on Monday the seventeenth day of June next between the hours of four and six of the clock in the afternoon and his fealty was respited.

Death of John Hill
The Homage also present that John Hill late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor who held to him and his heirs by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All that piece or parcel of Land lately inclosed from the Waste containing by estimation one acre and twenty two roods lying at Riding hill on the South West side of the Garden late of the said John Hill by the yearly rent of one penny heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other customs and services Died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon an heriot to wit the best live beast of the said John Hill became due to the Lord of this Manor but that none was seized he having no live animal at the time of his decease And the Homage also present that James Hill is the Eldest son and heir by the custom of this manor of the said John Hill
1st Proclamation
Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the said James Hill or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that the said piece or parcel of Land containing one acre and twenty two roods at Ryding hill which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Hill to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are enrolled.

Absolute Surrender Thomas Gosden to George Sawkins
The Homage also present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court to wit on the eighth day of May instant Whereby Thomas Gosden late of the Parish of Bisley but now of Windlesham in the County of Surrey one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred pounds to him paid by George Sawkins of Bisley aforesaid husbandman Did surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor according to the Custom of the said Manor  All that customary Messuage or Tenement one Garden one Barn and one Stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and three quarters of an acre of land there To the use and Behoof of the said George Sawkins his heirs and assigns for ever
Admittance of George Sawkins
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said George Sawkins and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to The said customary Messuage or Tenement Garden Barn and Stable in Bisley Green and three quarters of an acre of Land there with the appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said George Sawkins his heirs and assigns for ever by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of three pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£12] and his fealty was respited.
