At a Special Court Baron of The Honorable Arthur George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Monday the ninth day of May in the fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and forty two Before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward there.

Admittance of James Try on the forfeited Surrender of James Martin
At this Court came James Try of Chobham in the County of Surrey Gentleman the residuary Devisee and Legatee and also sole Executor named in the last Will and Testament of James Friend formerly of Chobham aforesaid Yeoman and suggested that the principal sum of One hundred pounds is due to him together with the sum of Six pounds and eight shillings for Interest thereof secured by a Conditional or Mortgage Surrender made by James Marter now deceased to the said James Friend on the twenty seventh day of January one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine of All that Customary Messuage or Tenement called Belfers with the barns edifices gardens orchards and curtilages to the same belonging with the appurtenances And also all the Customary Lands to the same belonging formerly in the tenure or occupation of William Cobbett lying in Bisley within this Manor And also five acres and an half of Customary Land with the appurtenances lying in divers places dispersedly in Bisley and therefore desired to be adnetted to the said premises upon the said forfeited Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Try his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Two shillings Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed (Subject Nevertheless to such equity of Redemption of the said Mortgaged Premises as is now subsisting under or by virtue of the said Surrender) And the said James Try gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£18 13s] He is admitted Tenant thereof Subject as aforesaid and his fealty is respited.

Also at this Court came here into Court James Try and humbly prayed to be admitted to Five acres and an half of Customary Land with the appurtenances lying in divers places dispersedly in Bisley To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Try his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Ten pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed Subject Nevertheless to such equity of Redemption of the said Mortgaged Premises as is now subsisting under or by virtue of the said Surrender And the said James Try gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£13 15s] He is admitted Tenant thereof Subject as aforesaid and his fealty is respited.

And afterwards at this Court came here again into Court the said James Try in his proper person and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred and forty nine pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by John Loveland of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer (and which said sum of One hundred and forty nine pounds the said James Try did by writing under his hand declare to be the full Consideration Money for the absolute sale of the said premises to the said John Loveland) surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the custom of the said Manor  All that Customary Messuage or Tenement called Belfers with the barns edifices gardens orchards and curtilages to the same belonging with the appurtenances And also all the Customary Lands to the same belonging formerly in the tenure or occupation of William Cobbett lying in Bisley within this Manor And also five acres and an half of Customary Lands with the appurtenances lying in divers places dispersedly in Bisley to which the said James Try had at this Court immediately before been admitted  To the only proper and absolute use and Behoof of the said John Loveland his heirs and assigns for ever  Subject nevertheless to such equity and right of Redemption as aforesaid

Now at this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said John Loveland and humbly prayed to be admitted to All that Customary Messuage or Tenement called Belfers with the barns edifices gardens orchards curtilages and lands to the same belonging in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said John Loveland his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Two shillings Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed (Subject Nevertheless to such Equity and right of Redemption as above mentioned) And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the Margin [£14 6s 3d] and his fealty was respited.
