Of the Court Baron.

At this Court upon the third Proclamation came into Court in his proper Person Richard Freeland and humbly prayed to be admitted to All  that one Messuage or Tenement and three closes of Land containing by Estimation two Acres more or less formerly in the possession of Henry Hayward which came into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the Hester Freeland To Whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward granted the same To Hold to him the said Richard Freeland his Heirs and Assigns forever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of _______ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right Accustomed And he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Admittance as appears in the Margin [£6.6s] He is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and his Fealty is respited.
And afterwards at this Court came again into Court the said Richard Freeland in his proper person and in Open Court Surrendered into the Hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Acceptance of the said Deputy Steward All that one Messuage or Tenement and three closes of Land containing by Estimation two Acres more or less formerly in the possession of Henry Hayward to which he was at this Court immediately before Admitted To the use and Behoof of William Smith of Isleworth in the County of Middlesex Bricklayer his Heirs and Assigns forever under and Subject to this proviso That if the said Richard Freeland his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns do pay to the said William Smith his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full Sum of Forty two pounds together with lawful Interest for the same of lawful Money of Great Britain on the third day of November
Next ensuing without any Deduction or Abatement on any Account whatsoever Then this Surrender to be Void and of no Effect otherwise to remain in full force & Virtue.
[Margin note: Be it remembered that on the twenty second day of July 1798 William Smith in this Surrender named did acknowledge that he had received of Richard Freeland in this Surrender also named the Sum of Forty two Pounds due to him on this Surrender and all Interest for the same And by writing under his hand of that date did impower the Steward of this Manor to Enter his Acknowledgement of having received the same on the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor Witness my hand  Tho.s Sibthorpe]

Also at this Court the third Proclamation is made If the Heir at Law of Sally Thick Widow or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to A Customary Messuage or Tenement together with the Barn and all other Outbuildings Orchards Gardens Yards Backsides and Appurtenances thereto belonging formerly in the Tenure of William Johnson or his Assigns And also to all those five closes of Copyhold Arable Meadow or Pasture Land containing by estimation Seven Acres more or less in Bisley within this Manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Sally Thick Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords hands he she or they should be heard But Nobody came Whereupon the third Proclamation and Default as to each Estate are here Inrolled.

Also at this Court the second Proclamation is made If Moses Beauchamp or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to One Messuage or Tenement called Goddins with a Barn and all the Buildings Curtilages Gardens and Orchards thereunto belonging and three Pieces of Land with the appurtenances thereto adjoining whereof one is called Mead Close containing by Estimation three Acres with the appurtenances lying in Bisley within this Manor And also all those two closes of Arable Land containing by Estimation Five Acres heretofore inclosed out of the Common Field called Neltro abutting on Land then of  Henry Millest on the North with the appurtenances in Bisley which said several Estates came into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of Moses Evered Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they should be heard But Nobody came Whereupon the second Proclamation and default as to each Estate are here inrolled.

Also at this Court the second Proclamation is made If William Stovell or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to One Messuage with the appurtenances at Gateshedend with the Barn Garden Orchard and about one Acre and an half of Land to the same adjoining and belonging lying and being in Bisley heretofore in the Occupation of Thomas May by the yearly Rent of Four Pence Heriot Suit of Court and other Customs purchased by him the said William Stovall of and from James Wye  And also all that Scite of a Messuage and parcel of Arable Land containing by Estimation one Acre and an half be the same more or less late the Estate of Peter Quennell deceased and before then the Estate of George Martin deceased and since of Sarah Moore lying and being in the parish of Bisley within the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of Six Pence Heriot Suit of Court and other Customs and Services purchased by him the said William Stovall of and from Sarah Moore Widow And also a Cottage Turf House and Garden thereunto belonging formerly Henry Carters abutting on the Common on the North and East parts and the Lands formerly Thomas Morlens on the West and South Situate and being in the parish of Bisley aforesaid within the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of Six Pence Heriot Suit of Court and other Customs purchased by him the said William Stovall of and from Henry Pritchett And also All that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement called or known by the Name of Staple Brooks with the Barn and all Buildings Orchard Garden Yards and One Close of Meadow Land by Estimation two Acres more or less and one Acre of Arable Land by the Yearly Rent of two Pence half-penny Heriot Suit of Court and other Customs and Services Which said several Estates came into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of William Stovell the Father Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they should be heard But Nobody came Whereupon the second Proclamation and default as to each Estate are here inrolled.

The Homage present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court to wit on the Second day of August one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Six Whereby George Rempnant Searle of Bisley aforesaid Labourer did Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Acceptance of the said Deputy Steward by the Rod according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Messuage or Tenement with the Barn Stable and Edifices belonging with the appurtenances called or known by the name of Paynes One Close of Land by Estimation Three Acres One piece of Land called Brook Plott by Estimation One Acre and One Piece of Wood by estimation One Acre at Knaphill adjoining to Hankmore Coppice with the Appurtenances in Bisley aforesaid  And all his Estate Right Title and Interest therein and thereto To the only proper use and behoof of John Mose of Chobham in the said County of Surrey Blacksmith his Heirs and Assigns for ever And to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever Whereupon at this Court upon the first Proclamation came into Court in his Proper person the said John Mose and humbly prayed to be Admitted to the said Premises in Pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward granted the same To Hold to him the said John Mose his Heirs and Assigns forever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of _______ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right Accustomed And he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Admittance as appears in the Margin [£13.10s] he is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and his Fealty is respited.

The Homage also present that Anthony Beauchamp one of the copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to him and his Heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All those Copyhold Lands Arable Meadow and Pasture with the Appurts containing by estimation Nineteen Acres more or less lying and being in the said Parish of Bisley and to which the said Anthony Beauchamp was Admitted at a General Court Baron held for the said Manor the Eighth day of May One thousand Seven hundred and thirty four on the death of his Father Philip Beauchamp Died since the last Court Seized thereof And that in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing bearing date the twenty Sixth day of October One  thousand Seven hundred and Eighty three He gave devised and bequeathed in the Words following that is to say “I Give devise and bequeath unto my Son Anthony Beauchamp and his Heirs All that Messuage or Tenement Farm and Lands at Bisley in the County of Surrey with the Rights Members and Appurtenances thereof now in the Tenure or Occupation of Edward Jenkins and his Assigns part Freehold and part Copyhold the latter of which I have Surrendered to the use of my Will  To Hold unto and to the use of my Son Anthony Beauchamp his Heirs and Assigns forever Subject nevertheless and charged and Chargeable with the payment of the Sum of Fifty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid in Six Months after my Decease unto my Son George Beauchamp towards discharging my Bond to my Son Philip Beauchamp”
Whereupon at this Court upon the first Proclamation came into Court in his Proper person the said Anthony Beauchamp the Son and humbly prayed to be Admitted to the said Premises in Pursuance of the said Will of the said Anthony Beauchamp his late Father To whom the Lord of this Manor by the said Deputy Steward granted the same To Hold to him the said Anthony Beauchamp the Son his Heirs and Assigns forever Subject to such Charge as is mentioned in the said Will of the said Anthony Beauchamp his late Father deceased by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of _______ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of right Accustomed And he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Admittance as appears in the Margin [____] he is admitted Tenant thereof (Subject as aforesaid) hath Seizin by the Rod and his Fealty is Respited.
And immediately after such the Admittance of the said Anthony Beauchamp He the said Anthony Beauchamp being still present in Court in his proper person Surrendered by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Acceptance of the said Deputy Steward according to the custom of the said Manor All and singular his copyhold Lands Tenements and Hereditaments within and held of this Manor To the use and Behoof of such person or persons and for such Estate and Estates Uses Intents and Purposes and under such Directions Limitations and Appointments as he the said Anthony Beauchamp already hath or hereafter shall in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing or any Writing purporting so to be direct limit declare or appoint the same.

The Homage also present that Arthur Harding one of the copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to him and his Heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with all the Land to the same belonging in Bisley aforesaid And also all that one parcel of Customary Heathy Lands called Feets containing by estimation three Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in Bisley aforesaid  Died since the last Court Seized of the two several Estates And that Arthur Harding is his only Son and Heir at Law and of full Age
Whereupon at this Court the first Proclamation is made If the said Arthur Harding the Son  or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to the said two Several Copyhold Estates Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they should be heard But Nobody came Whereupon the first Proclamation and default as to Each Estate are here inrolled.

The Homage also present that John Street one of the copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to him and his Heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Messuage or Tenement situate and lying in Bisley Green with the Land  Barn Stable Edifices Orchard and Garden thereto belonging and two acres of Land called Palmers and Anthonies two Acres of Land in the Common Field called Widecroft And One Close of Land called Westwood with the Appurtenances by the Yearly Rent of One Shilling and Six Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services And who also held for his Life All that Croft of Land called Bullrowson and three Crofts of Land and One Brook formerly parcel of a Tenement of Simon Bullers parcel of the Customary Land of this Manor with the Appurtenances And all buildings and Edifices thereupon Erected by the yearly Rent of _____  Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services  And also all that One parcel of Land called Newcotts containing by Estimation four Acres with the Appurtenances in Bisley aforesaid by the Yearly Rent of ______ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services   Died since the last Court Seized of the said three several Estates And that Henry Street is his only Son and Heir at Law and of full Age
Whereupon at this Court the first Proclamation is made If the said Henry Street or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to the said three Several Copyhold Estates Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they should be heard But Nobody came Whereupon the first Proclamation and default as to Each Estate are here inrolled.

The Homage also present that Edward Jenkins one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to him and his Heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Parcel of Ground containing by Estimation One Acre and an half more or less called Bisley Mead formerly in the Occupation of Thomas Loveland  by the yearly Rent of _____  Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services  Died since the last Court Seized thereof And that Edward Jenkins is his only Son and Heir at Law and of full Age
Whereupon at this Court the first Proclamation is made If the said Edward Jenkins or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to the said Premises Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they should be heard But Nobody came Whereupon the first Proclamation and default as to Each Estate are here inrolled.
