At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable William Hillier Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor on Monday the Twelfth day of March in the sixty third year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred Before Humphrey Percy Smallpeice Gentleman Deputy of Frederic Ferdinand Smallpeice Gentleman Chief Steward there.

Death of William Job Carter
At this Court came here into Court Alice Rose Jones wife of Owen Jones of No. 37 Alderbert Terrace Lambeth Vauxhall in the County of Surrey Stoker Minnie Violet Carter and Mary Ann Maria Carter both of the same place Spinsters by John Mudge Furneaux their Attorney and informed the said deputy Steward that William Job Carter late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to him and his heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor All that Cottage or tenement erected and built by Edmund Vincent together with the garden and yard used therewith formerly in the occupation of Joseph Pearce containing altogether a site of eighty rods or thereabouts situate lying and being at Miles Green in the Parish of Bisley and part and parcel of certain lands called Wheat Leaz with the appurtenances by the yearly rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services And who also held to him and his heirs by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor All that piece or parcel of land formerly waste of this Manor containing about half a rod in width and ten rods in length more or less being contiguous to and in front of his property at Bisley aforesaid bounded on the North by the premises of the said William Job Carter and on the South East and West by the Green at Bisley by the yearly rent of One shilling heriot certain Two shillings and sixpence suit of Court and other services to all which said premises the said William Job Carter was admitted Tenant at a General Court Baron held for the said Manor on the Twentieth day of August one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine died since the last General Court Baron held for the said Manor (to wit on the Sixth day of October One thousand eight hundred and ninety nine) seised thereof Whereupon two Heriots to wit the best live beast of the said William Job Carter and a Heriot certain of Two shillings and sixpence became due to the Lord of this Manor but no live beast was seized because the said William Job Carter had no live animal at the time of his death And they the said Alice Rose Jones Minnie Violet Carter and Mary Ann Maria Carter by their said Attorney alleged that the said William Job Carter died intestate and that they as his sisters and coheiresses according to the custom of this Manor are now the parties beneficially entitled in equal third parts or shares as tenants in common to the said copyhold cottage garden yard and land which came into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor on the death of the said William Job Carter as aforesaid
Admission of Alice Rose Jones Minnie Violet Carter and Mary Ann Maria Carter
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Alice Rose Jones Minnie Violet Carter and Mary Ann Maria Carter by the said John Mudge Furneaux their Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that the said piece or parcel of land formerly waste of this Manor containing about half a rod in width and ten rods in length more or less being contiguous to and in front of his property at Bisley aforesaid bounded on the North by the premises of the said William Job Carter and on the South East and West by the Green at Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor on the death of the said William Job Carter To whom the Lord of the manor aforesaid by his Deputy Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Alice Rose Jones Minnie Violet Carter and Mary Ann Maria Carter their heirs and assigns for ever in equal undivided shares as tenants in common by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were by their said Attorney admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such their admittances as appears afterwards and their fealty was pardoned
