The General Court Baron of The Right Honorable William Hillier Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Friday the twelfth day of June in the thirty seventh year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four Before Frederic Ferdinand Smallpeice Gentleman Steward there.

Admittance of Charles Baker
At this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court in his proper person Charles Baker of Bisley in the said County yeoman and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All those three acres of land whereon a Messuage has been erected with the appurtenances formerly part of the waste of the said Manor lying at Hassell Hall between Cowshot and Staveck Lane in Bisley within the said Manor formerly in the tenure or occupation of Robert Goodener his undertenants or assigns since of James Faggetter and John Tyler afterwards of Abraham Groves and now or late of Charles Boylett with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of John Baker To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Charles Baker his heirs and assigns for ever  Upon trust and subject as in the Will of the said John Baker mentioned and subject to a Conditional Surrender thereof made by the said John Baker to William Potterton and dated the eleventh day of June one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of six pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£20] and his fealty was respited.

3rd Proclamation on death of John Faggetter
At this Court the third proclamation was made for Sarah Faggetter John Boxall and William Luff or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that piece or parcel of land late parcel of the waste of this Manor lying near Staveck Lake containing by estimation seventy rods more or less together with the three Cottages or Tenements thereupon erected and set up now or late in the occupation of James Hill George Mitchell and _______ Boylett with the appurtenances in Bisley (subject to a Conditional Surrender thereof to Elizabeth Martin dated the twentieth day of October One thousand eight hundred and sixty) which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Faggetter to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the third Proclamation and default are here inrolled and the said Estate is become forfeited to the Lord of the said Manor and the Bailiff is commanded to seize the same into his own hands for the use of the Lord of the said Manor.

3rd Proclamation on death of Jane Cooke
At this Court the third proclamation was made for George Pearce Edmund Pearce and Edith the wife of John Farrell (lately Edith Pearce Spinster) or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All those four fields or closes of arable land called Wheat leas containing by admeasurement fourteen acres two roods and seventeen perches be the same more or less lying in the parish and Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey abutting upon Miles Green there save and except a scite of about Eighty rods surrendered to John Slann which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Jane Cooke to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the third Proclamation and default are here inrolled and the said Estate is become forfeited to the Lord of the said Manor and the Bailiff is commanded to seize the same into his own hands for the use of the Lord of the said Manor.

Admittance of George V Pearce  Ex Gratia
Afterwards at this Court came here into Court in his proper person George Vincent Pearce of High Street Gravesend in the County of Kent Hairdresser and humbly prayed that the Lord of this Manor would of his special favour grant unto him the said George Vincent Pearce All that one undivided moiety or equal half part of and in all those four fields or closes of arable land called Wheat Leas containing by admeasurement fourteen acres two roods and seventeen perches be the same more or less lying in the parish and Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey abutting upon Miles Green there save and except a scite of about Eighty rods surrendered to John Slann (which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of Jane Cooke and have been forfeited to the Lord of this Manor for want of a Tenant) To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid of his special grace and favour and not of right granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said George Vincent Pearce his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of five pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£16] and his fealty was respited.
Admittance of Edith Farrell  Ex Gratia
Also at this Court came here into Court in her proper person Edith the Wife of John Farrell of Saleon Street Bolton in the County of Lancaster Stableman and humbly prayed that the Lord of this Manor would of his special favour grant unto her the said Edith Farrell All that one undivided moiety or equal half part of and in all those four fields or closes of arable land called Wheat Leas containing by admeasurement fourteen acres two roods and seventeen perches be the same more or less lying in the parish and Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey abutting upon Miles Green there save and except a scite of about Eighty rods surrendered to John Slann (which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of Jane Cooke and have been forfeited to the Lord of this Manor for want of a Tenant) To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid of his special grace and favour and not of right granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Edith Farrell her heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of five pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such her admittance as appears in the margin [£16] and her fealty was pardoned.

Will of John Loveland
The Homage also present that John Loveland whose death was presented at a General Court Baron held in and for this manor on the thirteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and seventy three duly made his Will bearing date the tenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventy two the Probate whereof is now produced and read in Open Court Whereby he gave devised and bequeathed all the real and personal Estate of or to which he should at his death be seized possessed or entitled or of which he might have power to dispose by Will unto and to the use of his Wife Jane Loveland her heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely according to the nature and quality of the said Estates respectively and appointed his said Wife Jane Loveland Executrix of that his Will.
Admittance of Jane Loveland
Now at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court the said Jane Loveland by Raisbeck Robinson her Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that Messuage in Bisley Green with the edifices gardens Orchard and parcel of land to the same adjoining containing by estimation half an acre be the same more or less which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Loveland To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Jane Loveland her heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of three pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was by her said Attorney admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such her admittance as appears afterwards and her fealty was pardoned.
Admittance of the same
Also at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court the said Jane Loveland by the said Raisbeck Robinson her Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that little Meadow Platt called Turks Platt containing an acre of land more or less And also one acre of land in Neltro in two parcels one acre of land in Widecroft one acre of land in South Earsh and one acre of wood with the appurtenances or the allotments awarded in lieu of any part of the same premises by the Award of the Commissioners for dividing allotting and enclosing the open Common lands and fields in the parish of Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Loveland To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Jane Loveland her heirs and assigns for ever subject to a Conditional Surrender thereof made by the said John Loveland to Jacob Upfold and dated the twenty ninth day of October One thousand eight hundred and sixty seven by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was by her said Attorney admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such her admittance as appears afterwards and her fealty was pardoned.
Admittance of the same
Also at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court the said Jane Loveland by the said Raisbeck Robinson her Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that Meadow containing by estimation four acres adjoining the lane leading to Church Mead on the East part and lands now or late of John Phillips on the West part which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Loveland To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Jane Loveland her heirs and assigns for ever subject to a Conditional Surrender thereof made by the said John Loveland to Jacob Upfold and dated the twenty ninth day of October One thousand eight hundred and sixty seven by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was by her said Attorney admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such her admittance as appears afterwards and her fealty was pardoned.
Admittance of the same
Also at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court the said Jane Loveland by the said Raisbeck Robinson her Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that customary messuage or Tenement called Belfers with the barns edifices gardens Orchards and curtilages to the same belonging with the appurtenances and also all the customary lands to the same belonging formerly in the tenure or occupation of William Cobbett lying in Bisley within this manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Loveland To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Jane Loveland her heirs and assigns for ever subject to a Conditional Surrender thereof  made by the said John Loveland to William Ross and dated the nineteenth day of August One thousand eight hundred and sixty nine by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Five shillings Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was by her said Attorney admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such her admittance as appears afterwards and her fealty was pardoned.
Admittance of the same
Also at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court the said Jane Loveland by the said Raisbeck Robinson her Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All Five acres and an half of customary lands with the appurtenances lying in divers places dispersedly in Bisley or the allotments awarded in lieu of any part of the same premises by the Award of the Commissioners for dividing allotting and enclosing the open Common lands and fields in the parish of Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Loveland To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Jane Loveland her heirs and assigns for ever subject to a Conditional Surrender thereof made by the said John Loveland to William Ross and dated the nineteenth day of August One thousand eight hundred and sixty nine by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ten pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was by her said Attorney admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such her admittance as appears in the margin [Fine for the whole £67 15s] and her fealty was pardoned.

Will of Richard Loveland
The Homage present that Richard Loveland whose death was presented at a General Court Baron held in and for this manor on the thirteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and seventy three duly made his Will bearing date the first day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight the original whereof is now produced and read in Open Court and which contains the following devise “I give and bequeath in trust All that copyhold estate which belong to me situate at Bisley in the County of Surrey aforesaid that is to say a house and meadow and arable now in my own occupation to my dear wife Elizabeth Loveland for her life for my Executors hereinafter named to pay or cause to be paid after keeping the same in tenable repare all rents and profits arising from my estate into her own hands for her own use and after my wife decease I give and bequeath the same Estate in trust to my eldest son Richard Loveland for his life for my Executors to pay or cause to be paid after keeping the same in tenable repare all rents and profits arising from the same estate into his own hands for his own use and after my son Richard Loveland decease I empower my Executors to sell the aforesaid Estate the best way they think proper either private or by public auction and after paying all expenses attending such sale or sales other demands on my estate to divide the residue in five parts to five of my other children or their heirs and assigns as shall then and there be living that is to say one part to my son Solomon Loveland one part to my son Thomas Loveland one part to my daughter Elizabeth Beauchamp one part to my son Henry Loveland and one part to my son John Loveland and if my son Richard Loveland die before my wife the said Elizabeth Loveland then my Executors at the time of her decease are to sell and divide the same estate as before named.”

Admittance of Richard Loveland
Now at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Richard Loveland (the son) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that cottage Turfhouse and Garden thereunto belonging formerly Henry Carters abutting on the common on the North and East parts and the lands formerly Thomas Mortons West and South situate in the parish of Bisley within the said manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Richard Loveland deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Richard Loveland (the son) and his assigns for his life by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of sixpence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears afterwards and his fealty was respited.
Admittance of the same
Now at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Richard Loveland (the son) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that copyhold Messuage or Tenement called or known by the name of Staple Brooks with the barn and all buildings orchard garden yards and one close of meadow land by estimation two acres more or less and one acre of arable land which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Richard Loveland deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Richard Loveland (the son) and his assigns for his life by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence half penny Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears afterwards and his fealty was respited.
Admittance of the same
Now at this Court upon the third proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Richard Loveland (the son) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that piece or parcel of land formerly waste of this manor lying at Chatten Row Bisley aforesaid and adjoining to certain property there the property of the said Richard Loveland on the West side thereof and which is bounded on the North by a Lane on the East by the High Road and on the South by the waste containing about Fifty rods more or less which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Richard Loveland deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Richard Loveland (the son) and his assigns for his life by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [Fine for the whole £18] and his fealty was respited.

Will of Sarah Marshall
The Homage present that Sarah Marshall whose death was presented at the last General Court Baron held in and for this manor duly made her Will bearing date the thirty first day of August one thousand eight hundred and seventy an extract wherefrom is now produced and read in open Court whereby the said Testatrix appointed her Brother in law Thomas Heckstall Smith her Brother Thomas Alexander her son in law Thomas Shearburn and Edmund Boyle Church of Highgate in the County of Middlesex Esquire Executors of that her Will and she gave and devised unto the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Thomas Alexander Thomas Shearburn and Edmund Boyle Church their heirs and assigns all such real estates as at the time of her decease should be vested in her as Mortgagee or Trustee thereof nevertheless upon the trusts and subject to the equities respectively affecting the same to the intent that such of the trusts and purposes affecting the said trust premises as at the time of her decease should be subsisting might be carried into effect
Codicil thereto
The Homage also present that the said Sarah Marshall made a codicil to her said Will which codicil bears date the tenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventy three Whereby after reciting that her Brother Thomas Alexander who was one of the Executors and Trustees nominated and appointed by her said Will and her son in law Thomas Shearburn who was also one of the Executors and Trustees nominated and appointed by her said Will had died since the date thereof the said Testatrix thereby appointed Joseph Prior of Lincolns Inn Fields in the County of Middlesex gentleman to be  one of the Executors of her said Will and that codicil in conjunction with Thomas Heckstall Smith and Edmund Boyle Church in her said Will named and she appointed the said Joseph Prior to be one of the Trustees of her said Will and of that Codicil except as to the hereditaments therein mentioned in conjunction with the said Thomas Heckstall Smith and Edmund Boyle Church and the said Testatrix directed that her said Will should be read and in conjunction with that codicil should be considered as if the name of the said Joseph Prior had been inserted in the said Will whenever the name of the said Thomas Alexander as such Executor and Trustee as aforesaid occurred except in the bequest to him of a Legacy of Five hundred pounds

Admittance of Thomas H Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund B Church
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice their Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to All those two pieces or parcels of meadow land containing together by admeasurement three acres three roods and nineteen perches be the same more or less  situate and lying in the parish and manor of Bisley in the said County of Surrey adjoining to the land hereinafter described called Loam Pitts And also all that piece or parcel of arable land called the Shoulder of Mutton Field containing by admeasurement one acre two roods and three perches be the same more or less situate and lying in the parish and manor of Bisley aforesaid which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Sarah Marshall deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church their assigns for ever upon the trusts mentioned in the said Will of the said Sarah Marshall deceased by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of one shilling and one penny Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were by their said Attorney admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such their admittance as appears afterwards and their fealty was respited.
Admittance of same
Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice their Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to All those two pieces or parcels of land called Loam Pits containing by admeasurement nine acres one rood and one perch be the same more or less situate and lying in the parish and manor of Bisley aforesaid which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Sarah Marshall deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church their assigns for ever upon the trusts mentioned in the said Will of the said Sarah Marshall deceased by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of eight pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were by their said Attorney admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such their admittance as appears afterwards and their fealty was respited.
Admittance of same
Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice their Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to All that Customary Messuage with the Orchard formerly in the tenure of Philip Roberts and one close of land to the same belonging containing by estimation one acre more or less and one acre of land more or less in Neltro with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Sarah Marshall deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church their assigns for ever upon the trusts mentioned in the said Will of the said Sarah Marshall deceased by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of ten pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were by their said Attorney admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such their admittance as appears afterwards and their fealty was respited.
Admittance of same
Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice their Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to All that parcel of arable land in the Common Field called Neltro in Bisley by estimation one acre more or less and half an acre of Meadow in Churchbourne Mead with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Sarah Marshall deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church their assigns for ever upon the trusts mentioned in the said Will of the said Sarah Marshall deceased by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of eight pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were by their said Attorney admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such their admittance as appears afterwards and their fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice their Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenants to Two acres of land and half an acre of land lying in the Common Field called Neltro and Two acres of land and half an acre of land lying in the Common Field called Widecroft in the said manor of Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Sarah Marshall deceased To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church their assigns for ever upon the trusts mentioned in the said Will of the said Sarah Marshall deceased by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of three pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were by their said Attorney admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such their admittance as appears afterwards and their fealty was respited.
