At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable Arthur George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor there held for the said Manor on Thursday the thirtieth day of June in the twenty eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty four Before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor.

Absolute Surrender William Williams to Thomas Martin
At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Thomas Martin of Millbrook near Chobham in the County of Surrey Farmer and delivered to the said Steward the memorandum of a certain Surrender taken out of Court on the said thirtieth day of June instant whereby William Williams of the Town of Bedford in the County of Bedford Ironmonger of [sic] of the copyhold or customary tenants of the said manor in consideration of the sum of Five hundred and forty pounds to him paid by the said Thomas Martin Did Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the rod and by the acceptance of the above named Steward according to the custom of the said manor All that piece or parcel of customary arable land called or known as Loampits or Coal Harbour (formerly in three several pieces or parcels but now in one inclosure) containing in the whole by estimation nine acres or thereabouts situate lying and being in the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey formerly in the occupation of Robert Goodener and now of John Cherryman abutting on the South upon lands formerly of William Goodener and now of Mr Shrubb on the East upon lands formerly of Solomon Dayrolle and now of Mr Halsey and Mr Marshall on the West on lands of Mr Tringham and Mrs Honer and on the North on the main road leading from Cowshot to Bisley and Knaphill together with the rights and appurtenances to the said parcel of land or any parts thereof belonging or in anywise appertaining or with the same or any part thereof now or heretofore held used or enjoyed or reputed as part or member thereof or appurtenant thereto all which said lands hereditaments and premises are held of the Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey and were at a Special Court Baron of the said manor held on the twentieth day of September One thousand eight hundred and thirty three Surrendered to the use of the said William Williams his heirs and assigns according to the custom of the said manor by the description following that is to say “All that parcel of customary Arable land with the appurtenances called Lomepits lying in three severals containing in the whole by estimation Nine acres late in the occupation of Robert Goodener abutting upon lands of William Goodener on the South and on lands of Solomon Dayrolle on the east together with their rights members and appurtenances To the use of the said Thomas Martin his heirs and assigns for ever

Admittance of Thomas Martin
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Thomas Martin and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to All that the said piece or parcel of customary arable land called or known as Loampits or Coal Harbour with the appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod  To hold to the said Thomas Martin his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Eight pence heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£18] and his fealty was respited.
