At a General Court Baron of The Right Honorable George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Friday the Tenth day of June in the forty third year of the Reign of King George the third One thousand eight hundred and three Before Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward there.

At this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person Joseph Bedford and prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that one Messuage or Tenement and three Closes of Land containing by estimation two acres more or less formerly in the possession of Henry Hayward which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the surrender of James Trigg as presented at a Court Baron holden for this manor on the twentieth day of July one thousand eight hundred and one  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Joseph Bedford his Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of ____________ and Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court & other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so the said Joseph Bedford was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his estate to be had in the Premises as appears in the Margin [£7 11s] and his Fealty was respited.

And immediately after such his admittance came again into Court in his proper person the said Joseph Bedford and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the aforesaid steward according to the custom of the said Manor the said Messuage and three Closes of Land to which he had immediately before been admitted To the Use and Behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and estates uses intents and purposes as he shall in and by his last will and Testament in writing Give devise limit direct or appoint the same.

The Homage Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court in the following words Viz.t “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey to wit Be it remembered that  on the sixth day of November one thousand eight hundred and two John Roake of Horsell in the County of Surrey Farmer and Sarah his Wife which said Sarah was late called Sarah Thick Spinster and is one of the customary Tenants of this Manor came before Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor and the said Sarah being first solely and secretly examined apart from her said Husband and freely consenting Did Surrender by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the hands and acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the said Manor  All and every the Copyhold or Customary Messuages or Tenements Farms Lands Tenements and Hereditaments of her the said Sarah situate lying and being within and held of this Manor with their and every of their appurtenances and also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever both at Law and in Equity of her the said Sarah of in or to the same  To the only use and behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and estates uses trusts intents and purposes as she the said Sarah Roake shall in and by her last will and Testament in writing or by any writing purporting to be her last will and Testament notwithstanding her present or any future Coverture nominate limit direct or appoint of and concerning the same.  John Roake – Sarah Roake – This Surrender was taken the Day and Year first above written by me Joseph Pickstone Steward In the Presence of Jn.o Casier.”

The Homage Present that Mary Searle wife of Thomas Searle late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held of the Lord of this Manor for and during the term of her natural Life by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor All that customary Messuage or Tenement with the appurtenances called or known by the name of Collyers with the Edifices Buildings Barn Stable Garden Orchard and all and singular the customary arable meadow and pasture Lands to the same Messuage belonging and appertaining situate lying and being in the Parish of Bisley within this Manor late George Rempnants by the yearly Rent of _____________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs Dyed since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon an Heriot to wit the best live Beast of the said Mary Searle became due to the Lord of this Manor But that at the time of her Death she had no live Stock Now at this Court the first Proclamation was made for James Searle one of the Devisees of George Rempnant deceased or any person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to one third part of the said Messuage Lands and Premises with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Mary Searle to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came whereupon the first proclamation and default are here inrolled.

The Homage also Present that Henry Street of Bisley one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held  to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor All that Messuage or Tenement situate lying and being in Bisley Green with the Barn Stable Edifices Orchard and Garden thereto belonging and two acres of Land called Palmers and Anthonies Two acres of Land in the common Field called Widecroft and one Close of Land called Westwood with the appurtenances by the yearly Rent of One Shilling and six pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs Also All that Croft of Land called Bullrowson and three Crofts of Land and one Brook formerly parcel of a Tenement of Simon Butlers parcel of the customary Land of this Manor with the appurtenances and all Buildings and Edifices thereupon erected by the yearly Rent of __________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs And also All that one parcel of Land called Newcotts containing by estimation four acres with the appurtenances in Bisley by the yearly Rent of __________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs  Died since the last Court so seized of the said several estates Whereupon three Heriots to wit the three best live Beasts of the said Henry Street became due to the Lord of this Manor But that at the time of his Death he had one Horse only which was seized for an Heriot for the use of the Lord of the said Manor and compounded for with James Street his Son at the Sum of Eight Guineas and that the said James Street is his eldest Son and next Heir

Now at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said James Street and prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Messuage in Bisley Green with the appurtenances and the said two acres called Palmers and Anthonies the said two acres in the common Field called Widecroft and the said one Close called Westwood which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Henry Street  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his said Steward Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Street his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor by the yearly Rent of One Shilling and six Pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court & other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his estate to be had in the Premises as appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said James Street and prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Croft of Land called Bullrowson the said three Crofts of Land and one Brook formerly parcel of a Tenement of Simon Butlers which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Henry Street  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his said Steward Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Street his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor by the yearly Rent of __________ Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court & other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Estate to be had in the Premises as appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
And also again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said James Street and prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said One Parcel of Land called Newcotts containing by estimation four acres which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Henry Street  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his said Steward Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Street his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor by the yearly Rent of __________ Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court & other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for this and his two former admittances as appears in the Margin [£42] and his Fealty was respited.

And afterwards again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said James Street and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor All and every the Copyhold or Customary Messuages Farms Lands Tenements and Hereditaments of him the said James Street held as part and parcel of this Manor To the use and behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and interest therein as the said James Street shall in and by his last will and Testament in writing Give Devise Limit Direct or appoint the same.

The Homage also Present that John Stedman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held  to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor All that half acre of Land in Churchburn Mead in Bisley with the appurtenances by the yearly Rent of Two Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs  Died since the last Court thereof seized Whereupon an Heriot to wit the best live Beast of the said John Stedman became due to the Lord of this Manor But that the said John at the time of his Death had no live Beast and that James Stedman is his Brother and next Heir according to the custom of this Manor  Now at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said James Stedman and prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said half acre of Land which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said John Stedman  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Stedman his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor by the yearly Rent of Two Pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his estate to be had in the Premises as appears in the Margin [£1 1s] and his Fealty was respited.
And immediately after the admission of the said James Stedman He the said James Stedman being still present here in Court in his proper person Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid and according to the custom of this Manor All the said half acre of Land in Churchburn Mead in Bisley with the appurtenances to which he had immediately before been admitted To the use and behoof of William Chandler of Bisley his Nephew his heirs and assigns for ever.   Now at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said William Chandler and prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said half acre of Land in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said William Chandler his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor by the yearly Rent of Two Pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his estate to be had in the Premises as appears in the Margin [10s 6d] and his Fealty was respited.

The Homage also Present that Thomas Loveland late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held  to him and his heirs of the Lord of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of this Manor All that one Tenement with a Barn Edifices Gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging and two Parcels of Land called Brook Ground lying together containing by estimation three acres formerly the Lands of William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford situate lying and being in the Parish and Manor of Bisley by the yearly Rent of Two Shillings Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs Also all that one Meadow called Little Mead containing by estimation one acre and an half with the appurtenances formerly the Lands of the said William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor by the yearly Rent of Four Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs  Also all those two Closes of Land by estimation two acres and an half with the appurtenances formerly the Lands of the said William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor by the yearly Rent of One Shilling Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs  Also all that one Meadow lying in Churchburn Mead and one acre lying in the Common Field called Widecroft formerly the Lands of William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor by the yearly Rent of One Shilling Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs  Also all that one Messuage called Wellers with all the Barns Stables Edifices Gardens Orchards and Curtilages to the said Messuage belonging and three Closes to the same belonging containing by estimation seven acres and one Meadow called Newbridge Mead by estimation two acres and three acres of Land by estimation lying in the Common Field called Well Croft and one acre of Land by estimation lying in the Common Field called Southnest And three acres of Land lying in the Common Field called North Hills and half an acres of Meadow lying in a common Mead called Westburn Mead and four acres of Land by estimation lying in a Common Field called Neltro with the appurtenances formerly the Land of Joseph Hone and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor by the yearly Rent of Five Shillings and one Penny halfpenny Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs  Also all those four acres of Land lying in North Hills and one acre and an half of Land lying in Wide Croft with the appurtenances in the said Parish and Manor by the yearly Rent of Seven Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and CustomsAnd also all that Close of Land called North Hills containing by estimation four acres and an half formerly parcel of the Land of Henry Cobbett  and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor by the yearly Rent of Ten Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs  Died since the last Court so seized of the said several Estates Whereupon seven Heriots, to wit, the seven best live animals of the said Thomas Loveland became due to the Lord of this Manor But that at the time of the Death of the said Thomas Loveland he had no live Stock and that John Loveland is his eldest Son and next Heir But that the said Thomas Loveland Did in and by his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the eleventh day of July One thousand seven hundred and ninety seven with a Codicil thereto bearing date the sixth day of May One thousand eight hundred and one Give and bequeath to his Son James Loveland for the term of his natural Life all his Messuages Lands and Premises with their appurtenances lying and being in the Parishes of Bisley Wokeing and Worplesdon in the County of Surrey Subject as therein mentioned and with such Remainder as in the said Will and Codicil are expressed.
[Margin Note: These 7 Estates of Tho.s Loveland were released and discharged from Heriots by Abel Walter Esq.r late Lord of this Manor by his deed dated 13th March 1749 – See deed of Enfranchisement of another Estate of said Thomas Loveland dated 2nd September 1782.  J.P.]

Also at this Court the first Proclamation was made for the said James Loveland or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said Close called North Hills which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland to come into Court and take the same out of the Hands of the Lord of the said Manor but no one came Whereupon the first Proclamation and Default are here inrolled

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person James Stedman one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of this Manor and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the aforesaid Steward and according to the custom of this Manor All and every the Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments holden of this Manor To the use and behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and interest as the said James Stedman shall in and by hisr last will and Testament in writing Give Devise Limit Direct or appoint the same.

The Homage Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court in the words following Viz.t “The Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey  Be it remembered that  on the Nineteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord Christ one thousand eight hundred and two Henry Smith of the said Parish of Bisley Yeoman one of the Copyhold Tenants of the said Manor of Bisley Did out of Court Surrender by the Rod and by these presents he doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by acceptance of John Hill and Philip Gyles two other Copyhold Tenants of the said Manor  All that his copyhold Cottage or Tenement with all the copyhold Lands and appurtenances thereto belonging called Hasel Hill lying in the said Manor of Bisley together with all other his copyhold Lands and Premises lying and being in the said Parish and Manor of Bisley called Loompitts or by any other name or names the same may be called  To the only use and behoof of such person or persons and upon such Conditions as he the said Henry Smith hath or shall in and by his last will and Testament in wrighting Direct Limit or appoint the same.  Henry  his X mark  Smith – This Surrender was taken and accepted the Day and year above written within the said Manor by us John Hill  Philip Gyles.”

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Thomas Sago one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of this Manor and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the aforesaid Steward according to the custom of this Manor  All and every his copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments holden of this Manor  To the use and behoof of such person or persons for such estate and estates uses intents and purposes as he shall in and by his last will and Testament in writing Give Devise  Limit Direct or appoint the same. 

At this Court the Homage Present an Encroachment made on the Waste Ground of this Manor near the Pound belonging to this Manor by Alexander Ross Esquire who hath inclosed some Rods of the Waste Land or Ground of the said Manor and erected several Buildings thereon and it is now ordered by this Court that the said Alexander Ross do remove the same within six Months from the Day of holding this Court. 
They also Present an Encroachment made by Mr James Living on the Waste Ground of this Manor who hath inclosed several Rods thereof near the said Pound And it is now ordered by this Court that the said James Living do remove the same within six Months from the Day of holding this Court. 
They also Present Mr James Keates and Mr Thomas Sago for having severally ploughed up the Waste Ground of this Manor. 
They also Present that Joseph Bedford had encroached on the Waste Land or Ground of this Manor by inclosing a piece Waste Land adjoining to a copyhold Estate to which he had this Day been admitted.
