Be it Remembered that on the fourteenth day of June One thousand seven hundred and Ninety seven the Lord of this Manor by Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward of the said Manor Did grant Lycence to Joseph Bell Esquire a Customary Tenant of the said Manor to demise and let to any Person or Persons whomsoever All or any part of the Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments of him the said Joseph Bell holden of this Manor for any Term or Number of Years not exceeding Twenty one Years from the Twenty ninth day of September next ensuing the date above mentioned Saving nevertheless and reserving to the Lord of this Manor his Heirs and Successors Lords of the said Manor All Fines Quitrents Services and other Duties when and so often as they shall grow due And all Ordinary and usual Remedies for the same by Seizure Distress and otherwise in as large and ample manner to all intents and purposes as if this Lycense had not been granted And the said Joseph Bell gave to the Lord as a Fine for this Lycense one and Twenty shillings.
