At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable William Hillier Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor on Saturday the twenty fifth day of July in the thirty eighth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four Before Frederic Ferdinand Smallpeice Gentleman Steward there.

Absolute Surrender George V Pearce and others to Charles Robinson
At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Charles Robinson of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer and delivered to the said Steward a certain Surrender taken out of Court on the eighteenth day of July instant Whereby George Vincent Pearce of High Street Gravesend in the County of Kent Hairdresser and John Farrell of Falcon Street Bolton in the County of Lancaster Stableman and Edith his wife (the said George Vincent Pearce and Edith the wife of the said John Farrell being two of the Copyhold tenants of the said Manor) in consideration of the sum of seven hundred pounds to the said George Vincent Pearce and John Farrell and Edith his wife in equal moieties paid by the said Charles Robinson (the said Edith the wife of the said John Farrell being first solely and separately examined apart from her said husband and freely and voluntarily consenting thereto) did Surrender out of their hands into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the hands and acceptance of the said Steward by the rod according to the custom of the said manor All those four fields or closes of arable land called Wheat Leas containing by admeasurement fourteen acres two roods and seventeen perches be the same more or less lying in the parish and Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey abutting upon Miles Green there save and except a scite of about eighty rods surrendered to John Slann to which several undivided moieties or equal half parts the s.d George Vincent Pearce and Edith the wife of the said John Farrell were respectively admitted tenants at a General Court Baron held for the said manor on the twelfth day of June One thousand eight hundred and seventy four To the use and behoof of the said Charles Robinson his heirs and assigns for ever absolutely at the Will of the Lord and according to the custom of the said Manor of Bisley

And thereupon at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court in his proper person the said Charles Robinson and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that one undivided moiety or equal half part of and in All those four fields or closes of arable land called Wheat Leas containing by admeasurement fourteen acres two roods and seventeen perches be the same more or less lying in the parish and Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey abutting upon Miles Green there save and except a scite of about eighty rods surrendered to John Slann in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same To hold to him the said Charles Robinson his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of five pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said Charles Robinson was admitted Tenant thereof accordingly had seizin by the rod and gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£12] and his fealty was respited.
