The first General Court Baron of The Right Honorable Thomas Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Thursday the Twentieth day of July in the Fifty fifth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King Defender of the Faith And in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifteen   Before Joseph Hockley the younger Gentleman Steward there.

The Homage aforesaid being sworn and charged on their Oath present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following, to wit, “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey  Be it Remembered that on the second day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen Thomas Eacott of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the elder Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court And (in consideration of  the Sum of Twenty five pounds of Lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand well and truly paid by James Searle of Bisley in the said County of Surrey Yeoman) Hath surrendered and by these presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the said manor All that customary messuage or tenement with the  appurtenances together with the edifices buildings garden orchard and curtilage to the said messuage or tenement belonging situate lying and being in Bisley Green in the parish of Bisley aforesaid abutting on the said Green on the south north and east parts heretofore in the occupation of George Slyfield late of Floyd and now of the said Thomas Eacott (to which the said Thomas Eacott was admitted at a general Court Baron holden for the said Manor the twenty third day of June One thousand eight hundred on the surrender of Ann Eacott his Mother) and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Eacott of in and to the said Premises and every part and parcel thereof To the only proper use and behoof of the said James Searle his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor  Provided always and upon this Condition Nevertheless that if the said Thomas Eacott his heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Searle his executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of Twenty five pounds together with interest for the same after the rate of Five pounds for One hundred pounds for a year of lawful money of Great Britain upon the Second day of July next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. ~ Tho.s Eacott This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written by the acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Steward Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named James Searle the sum of Twenty five pounds being the full consideration money above mentioned to be paid by him to me £25 ~ Thomas Eacott Witness Joseph Hockley ~”

[Margin note: Be it Remembered that on the first day of March 1817 James Searle in this Surrender named did acknowledge that he had received of Thomas Eacott in this Surrender also named all Principal & Interest monies secured by and due upon this Surrender and in full satisfaction thereof and by writing under his hand of that date did impower the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received the same and such Satisfaction on the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor  Witness my Hand Joseph Hockley Jun.r  Steward]

The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following, to wit, “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey  Be it Remembered that on the twenty third day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen James Loveland of Bisley in the County of Surrey Yeoman one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the elder Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court And in consideration of  the Sum of Four hundred pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency to him in hand well and truly paid by Mary Kettilby of Stoke next Guildford in the County of Surrey Spinster Hath surrendered and by these presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward and according to the custom of the said Manor All those two closes of Arable Land called the Bisley Fields and Float Field containing by estimation together Ten Acres more or less situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor with all and every the appurtenances to which premises the said James Loveland was admitted on the surrender of John Goreing at a Court Baron held the eighteenth day of April One thousand seven hundred and seventy seven And also all that Little Meadow Platt called Turks Platt  containing One acre of land more or less and also One acre of Land in Neltroe in two parcels One Acre of Land in Widecroft One acre of Land in South Earsh and One Acre of wood with the appurtenances All which said last mentioned five acres are situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor and to which the said James Loveland was admitted on the surrender of James Wood at a General Court Baron for the said Manor the eighteenth day of April One thousand seven hundred and eighty eight And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And also all the estate right title interest property possession claim and demand whatsoever of him the said James Loveland of into out of the same Premises and every part and parcel thereof To the only proper use and behoof of the said Mary Kettilby her heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor  Provided always and upon this Condition Nevertheless that if the said James Loveland his heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Mary Kettilby her executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of Four hundred pounds together with interest for the same after the rate of Five pounds for One hundred pounds for a year of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency upon the twenty third day of July next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. ~ The mark of James X Loveland  This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written by me Joseph Hockley Steward in the presence of Joseph Hockley Jun.r ~ Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named Mary Kettilby the full sum of Four hundred pounds being the consideration money above mentioned to be paid by her to me Witness my hand £400 ~ The mark of X James Loveland Witness Joseph Hockley ~ Joseph Hockley Jun.r
[Margin note] Be it remembered that on the seventh day of October in the year One thousand eight hundred and seventeen Thomas Allen and John Scalds Executors named in the last Will and Testament of Mary Kettilby in this Surrender named did acknowledge that they had received of and from James Loveland in this Surrender also named All Principal and Interest Money secured by this Surrender And by writing or Warrant under their Hands Did authorise and empower the Steward of this Manor to enter Satisfaction upon the Court Rolls or Books of this Manor accordingly.  Witness my Hand  Joseph Hockley Steward.

The Homage also present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey. Be it remembered that on the tenth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirteen William Glazier of Bisley in the County of Surrey Laborer one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the Younger Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand well and truly paid by John Roake of Horsell in the said County of Surrey Farmer Hath surrendered and by these presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward and according to the custom of the said Manor One Acre of Land part of a parcel of land called Miles Grove within the Manor together with the cottage lately erected and now standing thereon And which said Acre adjoins to Miles Green on the south to the Copyhold Land late of William Walden called Wheat Leaz on the west to other part of Miles Grove now William Walters on the north and to one acre other part of Miles Grove now of James Stedman on the east (and to which said One Acre of Land the said William Glazier was admitted at a General Court Baron holden for the said Manor the twenty sixth day of September One thousand eight hundred and six on the surrender of James Hone) And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said William Glazier of in and to the said premises and every part and parcel thereof  To the only proper use and behoof of the said John Roake his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor. Provided always and upon this condition nevertheless that if the said William Glazier his heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Roake his executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of One hundred pounds together with interest for the same after the Rate of Five pounds for One hundred pounds for a year of lawful money of Great Britain upon the tenth day of December next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue”  William Glazier  ~  This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written of and from the above named John Roak the sum of One hundred pounds being the consideration money above mentioned to be paid by him to me £100  William Glazier  Witness Joseph Hockley Jun.r”
[Margin note] Be it remembered that on the twenty sixth day of December in the year One thousand eight hundred and twenty seven John Roake in this Surrender named did acknowledge that he had received of William Glazier in this Surrender also named All Principal and Interest Monies secured by and due upon this Surrender and in full satisfaction thereof And by writing under his Hand of that date did empower the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received the same and such Satisfaction on the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor.  Witness my Hand  Joseph Hockley Steward.

Be it remembered that on the Thirteenth day of november one thousand eight hundred and thirteen George Hill of Bisley in the County of Surrey Laborer and Henry Hill of the same place Laborer two of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley the elder Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred and fifty pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency to them in hand well and truly paid by Isaac Foster the parish of Wokeing in the said County of Surrey Farmer Have and each of them Hath surrendered And by these presents Do and each of them doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward and according to the custom of the said Manor All their and each of their several parts parcels and shares of and in All that copyhold Messuage or tenement called Radsells Grove with the barn buildings orchards gardens and all the Lands thereto belonging with the appurtenances containing by estimation five acres more or less situate and being in the Parish of Bisley late in the occupation of William Slaughter since of John Hill and now of the said George Hill and Henry Hill and to which the said George Hill and Henry Hill severally were admitted Tenants at a General Court Baron holden for the said Manor on the twenty sixth day of September One thousand eight hundred and six on the death of John Hill their Father And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And also all the estate right title interest property possession claim and demand whatsoever of them the said George Hill and Henry Hill and each of them of into or out of the same premises and every part and parcel thereof  To the only proper use and behoof of the said Isaac Foster his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor. Provided always and upon this Condition nevertheless that if the said George Hill and Henry Hill or either of them their or either of their heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Isaac Foster his executors administrators or assigns the full and just sum of One hundred and fifty pounds together with interest for the same after the Rate of Five pounds for One hundred pounds for a year of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of England value and currency upon the thirteenth day of May next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever (except Property Tax) and without fraud or further delay Then this surrender to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and virtue”  George Hill. The mark of Henry X Hill  ~  This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written by the acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Steward~ In the presence of Richard Ripen ~ Received on the day and year first above written of and from the above named Isaac Foster the full sum of One hundred and fifty pounds being the consideration money above mentioned to be paid by him to us £150  George Hill. The mark of Henry  X  Hill    Witness Joseph Hockley.”
[Margin note] Be it remembered that on the sixth day of November One thousand eight hundred and thirty five William Chandler the surviving executor of Isaac Foster in this Surrender named did acknowledge that he had that day had received of and from George Hill and Henry Hill (in whom the Copyhold Premises mentioned in this Surrender had then become vested) the full Sum of One hundred and sixty one Pounds in full satisfaction and discharge of and for all Principal and Interest Monies and all demands due on this Surrender And the said William Chandler by writing under his Hand of that date did empower and authorise the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received such Satisfaction on the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor accordingly.  Witness my Hand  Joseph Hockley Steward.

The Homage Also Present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey.  Be it remembered that on the fifth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fourteen John Edwards of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Husbandman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor came before Joseph Hockley the Elder Gentleman Steward of the said Manor (out of Court) and (in consideration of  the Sum of Eighty pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and currency to him in hand well and truly paid by James Waterer of Crastock in the parish of Woking in the said County of Surrey Yeoman at or immediately before the making this Surrender) Surrendered and by these presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward according to the Custom of the said Manor All that messuage or tenement with the Outhouses gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate within this Manor heretofore in the possession of John Towers since of John Stiles late of Sarah Hill and now of the said John Edwards And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said John Edwards of in and to the same Premises To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said James Waterer his heirs and assigns for ever Provided always and upon this condition nevertheless that if the said John Edwards his heirs executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Waterer his executors administrators or assigns the full Sum of Eighty pounds of lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency with lawful Interest for the same on the fifth day of October next ensuing the date hereof without fraud or delay Then this Surrender to be void or else to be and remain in full force and virtue. ~ The mark of John X Edwards  This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written By me Joseph Hockley Steward in the presence of Rich.d Nyren  5th April 1814  Received by me John Edwards of and from James Waterer the full sum of Eighty pounds being the consideration money mentioned to be paid by him to me in this Surrender  Witness my Hand ~ £80 0s 0d ~ The mark of John X Edwards ~ Witness Rich.d Nyren”.

At this Court upon the third Proclamation  came here into Court in his proper person Henry Gosden (one of the seven younger Children of George Gosden and one of the Devisees named in the last will and testament of the said George Gosden whose will was presented at a General Court Baron held for this Manor on the second day of May One thousand seven hundred and ninety four) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to One seventh undivided part or share the whole into seven equal parts to be divided of and in All that Customary messuage or tenement one garden one barn and one stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and of and in three quarters of an acre of Land there and of and in Four acres of Land with the appurtenances lying in the common Field called Widecroft heretofore the messuage and lands of John Cobbett and Elizabeth his Wife And also of and in One other acre of Land with the appurtenances lying in the common Field aforesaid and of and in One acre of Land lying in the common Field called Burcroft and of and in One Acre of Meadow lying in the Common Mead called Westbourn Mead and of and in their and every of their appurtenances some time Roger Cobbetts and since the estate of William Havitt and formerly in the tenure of Abraham Knight which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of Hannah Fry (late Hannah Gosden Widow) as presented at a General Court Baron held for the said Manor on the twenty fourth day of October One thousand eight hundred and eleven To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Henry Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of __________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed So he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£3 8s] And his Fealty was respited.

At this Court upon the third Proclamation came here into Court in her proper person Elizabeth Hampton Wife of William Hampton (late Elizabeth Gosden Spinster one of the seven younger Children of George Gosden and one of the Devisees named in the last will and testament of the said George Gosden whose will was presented at a General Court Baron held for this Manor on the second day of May One thousand seven hundred and ninety four) and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to One seventh undivided part or share the whole into seven equal parts to be divided of and in All that Customary messuage or tenement one garden one barn and one stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and of and in three quarters of an acre of Land there and of and in Four acres of Land with the appurtenances lying in the common Field called Widecroft heretofore the messuage and lands of John Cobbett and Elizabeth his Wife And also of and in One other acre of Land with the appurtenances lying in the common Field aforesaid and of and in One acre of Land lying in the common Field called Burcroft and of and in One Acre of Meadow lying in the Common Mead called Westbourn Mead and of and in their and every of their appurtenances some time Roger Cobbetts and since the estate of William Havitt and formerly in the tenure of Abraham Knight which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of Hannah Fry (late Hannah Gosden Widow) as presented at a General Court Baron held for the said Manor on the twenty fourth day of October One thousand eight hundred and eleven To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Elizabeth Hampton her heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of __________ Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her admittance as appears in the margin [£3 8s] And her Fealty was pardoned.

At this Court came here into Court in their proper persons the said Henry Gosden Thomas Gosden Morris Gosden Jacob Gosden Edward Gosden William Hampton and Elizabeth his Wife (late Elizabeth Gosden Spinster) and Thomas Glazier and Sarah his Wife (late Sarah Gosden Spinster) and (the said Sarah and Elizabeth being first severally and respectively separately examined apart from their said respective Husbands by the said Steward and severally and respectively consenting) in open Court severally and respectively surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid and according to the custom of the said Manor All their and each and every of their several and respective undivided seventh parts or shares of and in All that customary messuage or tenement one garden one barn and one stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and three quarters of an acre of Land there and Four acres of Land with the appurtenances lying in the common Field called Widecroft heretofore the messuage and lands of John Cobbett and Elizabeth his Wife And also One other acre of Land with the appurtenances lying in the common Field aforesaid and One acre of Land lying in the common Field called Burcroft and One Acre of Meadow lying in the Common Mead called Westbourn Mead with their and every of their appurtenances to which they had at this Court before been severally and respectively admitted And all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Henry Gosden Thomas Gosden Morris Gosden Jacob Gosden Edward Gosden William Hampton and Elizabeth his Wife  and Thomas Glazier and Sarah his Wife and of each and every of them of and in the same premises and every part and parcel thereof To the several uses following (that is to say) As to for and concerning the said customary messuage or tenement one garden one barn and one stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and three quarters of an acre of Land there To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Thomas Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever.  And as to for and concerning Two Acres of Land in one piece being part of the Four Acres of Land  lying in the common Field called Widecroft which said two Acres of Land abut on the south east and north parts to the Lands of James Loveland and on the west on Lands of William Eacott the said James Loveland and Mrs Geale Wife of William Geale To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Morris Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever. And as to for and concerning two several half acres of Land in two pieces other part of the said Four Acres of Land lying in the common Field called Widecroft one of which said half acres abuts on the north to Land of Mrs Geale on the south to Land belonging to the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the east to Land of James Loveland and on the west to Lands of Henry Gosden and the other half acre abuts on the east to the Lands of Henry Gosden the Devisees of Joseph Bell and Mrs Geale on the west to Lands of Mrs Geale on the north to the Lands of the Devisees of Joseph Bell and James Loveland and on the south to the Lands of the said Mrs. Geale To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Henry Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever.  And as to for and concerning four several pieces of Land containing together by estimation One Acre more or less the other part of the said Four Acres of Land lying in the said common Field called Widecroft one of which said four pieces of Land abuts on the west part to Land of William Smith on the east to the Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the north to Land of James Loveland and on the south to Land of Mrs Geale One other of the said pieces of Land abuts on Lands of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the west and north and to the lands of Mrs Geale on the east and south  One other of the said Pieces of Land abuts on Lands of Mrs Geale on the west east and south parts and on Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the north and the other piece of Land abuts on the Land of Mrs Geale on the west to inclosed Land of James Loveland on the south and to Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the north and to Land now or late of Ann Waterer on the west  To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Edward Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever.  And as to for and concerning the said one other Acre of Land with the appurtenances lying in the common Field aforesaid called Widecroft abutting on the Land of Mrs Geale on the south part to Land of William Eacott on the north and to inclosed Land of James Loveland on the west and east parts To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Elizabeth Hampton the Wife of the said William Hampton her heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever.  And as to for and concerning the said One Acre of Land lying (in two several pieces) in the common field called Burcroft To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Sarah Glazier the Wife of the said Thomas Glazier her heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever.  And as to for and concerning the said  One Acre of Meadow lying in the common Mead called Westbourn Mead To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Jacob Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever. 

At this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Thomas Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said messuage or tenement one garden one barn and one stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and the said three quarters of an acre of Land there in pursuance of the said surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Thomas Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Three pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance nothing it being for further assurance only And his Fealty was respited.
At this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Morris Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Two Acres of Land  lying in the common Field called Widecroft in pursuance of the said surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Morris Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of three pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance nothing it being for further assurance only And his Fealty was respited.
At this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Henry Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said two several half acres of Land being part of the said Four acres of Land lying in the common Field called Widecroft in pursuance of the said surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Henry Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance nothing it being for further assurance only And his Fealty was respited.
At this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Edward Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said four several pieces of Land containing together by estimation One acre more or less (part of the said Four acres of Land lying in the common Field called Widecroft in pursuance of the said surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Edward Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance nothing it being for further assurance only And his Fealty was Respited.

At this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in her proper person the said Sarah Glazier Wife of the said Thomas Glazier and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said One acre of Land lying (in two several pieces) in the common Field called Burcroft in pursuance of the said surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Sarah Glazier her heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her Admittance Nothing it being for further assurance only And her Fealty was pardoned.
At this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said Jacob Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to The said One acre lying in the common Mead called Westbourn Mead in pursuance of the said surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said Jacob Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance nothing it being for further assurance only And his Fealty was Respited.

The Homage Also present that Ann Waterer Widow one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor who held to her and her heirs of the Lord of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of four pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services All that copyhold messuage or tenement called Edsaws and four closes of Land by estimation four acres and an half with the buildings gardens and orchards and appurtenances thereunto belonging Died since the last General Court seized thereof whereupon an Heriot to wit the best live Beast of the said Ann Waterer became due to the Lord of this Manor but none was seized because at the time of her death she had no live Cattle And that in and by her last will and testament in writing bearing date the fifteenth day of June One thousand eight hundred and twelve (now produced and read in open Court) the said Ann Waterer gave devised and bequeathed All that her said copyhold messuage or tenement called Edsaws and four closes of Land by estimation four acres and an half with the buildings gardens orchards and appurtenances thereunto belonging And also all her personal estate unto her Son James Waterer and to her Friend John Parsons their heirs executors admors and assigns In Trust to sell and dispose of the same as in her said Will is mentioned  Now at this Court upon  the first Proclamation came here into Court in their proper persons the said James Waterer and John Parsons and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenants to The said messuage or tenement called Edsaws and Four closes of Land by estimation Four acres and an half with the buildings gardens orchards and appurtenances thereunto belonging which came into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor on the death of the said Ann Waterer To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said James Waterer and John Parsons their heirs and assigns for ever as joint Tenants (upon and subject to the trusts mentioned in the Will of the said Ann Waterer) by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Four pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so they were admitted Tenants thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such their Estate therein to be had as appears in the margin [£10 10s] And their Fealties were respited.

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Samuel Suddeby of Bisley in the County of Surrey Laborer one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor and (in consideration of the sum of Forty two pounds of Lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him in hand well and truly paid by William Woods of Naphill in the parish of Wokeing in the said County of Surrey Brickburner) Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the said manor All that copyhold messuage or tenement with the garden thereto belonging containing by estimation one rod formerly belonging to Blanch Wisdom since to John Robinson and late Collyers within and held of the said Manor And all his estate right title benefit and equity of Redemption therein and thereto To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said William Woods his heirs and assigns for ever  Now at this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said William Woods and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said messuage or tenement and garden in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said William Woods his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£3] And his Fealty was respited.

The Homage also present a certain other surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey Be it Remembered that on the twenty ninth day of May in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifteen Isaac Foster the younger of the parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Yeoman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came Before Joseph Hockley the younger Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court and Hath surrendered and by these presents Doth surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod And by the acceptance of the said Steward and according to the custom of the said Manor All that customary or copyhold parcel of Land with the appurtenances lying in four severals containing by estimation seven acres more or less lying in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor (to which the said Isaac Foster hath been admitted Tenant at a Special Court Baron this day holden for the said Manor)  To the use and behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and estates uses trusts intents and purposes as he the said Isaac Foster hath or shall in and by his last will and testament in writing or by any writing purporting to be his last will and testament nominate give devise limit direct or appoint the same of and concerning the same Isaac Foster Jun.r This surrender was taken the day and year first above written By the acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Jun.r Steward.”

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Morris Gosden one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor and (in consideration of the sum of One hundred pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by John Gosden of Chobham in the County of Surrey Farmer) surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the said Manor Two acres of Land in one piece being part of Four acres of Land lying in the common Field called Widecroft within this Manor which said Two acres of Land abut on the south east and north parts to the Lands of James Loveland and on the west on Lands of William Eacott the said James Loveland and Mrs. Geale Wife of William Geale and to which the said Morris Gosden had at this Court before been admitted To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said John Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever  Now at this Court upon the first Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said John Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Two acres of Land in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To Hold to the said John Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of Three pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£3 4s] And his Fealty was respited.

And immediately after such his admittance the said John Gosden being still present here in Court in his proper person surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward and according to the custom of the said Manor the said Two acres of Land  To the use and behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and estates interests ends intents and purposes as he the said John Gosden shall in and by his last will and testament in writing or any writing in the nature of or purporting to be his last will and testament give will devise limit direct or appoint the same.

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Thomas Gosden one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor and (in consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds of Lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by James Smith of Chobham in the County of Surrey Laborer) surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward  aforesaid according to the custom of the said Manor All that customary messuage or tenement one garden one barn and one stable with the appurtenances in Bisley Green within this Manor and three quarters of an acre of Land there to which the said Thomas Gosden had at this Court before been admitted To the only use and behoof of the said James Smith his heirs and assigns for ever Upon Condition nevertheless to be void if the said Thomas Gosden his heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Smith his executors administrators or assigns the full sum of Fifty five pounds together with interest for the same of lawful money aforesaid on the twentieth day of January now next ensuing.  
[Margin note: Be it Remembered that on the twentieth day of October One thousand eight hundred and thirty James Smith in this Surrender named did acknowledge that he had received of Thomas Gosden in this Surrender also named all Principal and Interest monies secured by and due upon this Surrender and in full satisfaction thereof and by Writing under his Hand of that date did impower the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received the same and such satisfaction on the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor  Witness my Hand Joseph Hockley Stew.d]

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Jacob Gosden One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor and (in consideration of the sum of Thirty pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by Thomas Gosden of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer) surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the said Manor One acre of meadow lying in the common Mead called Westbourn Mead within this Manor to which the said Jacob Gosden had at this Court before been admitted To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Thomas Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever  Now at this Court the first Proclamation was made for the said Thomas Gosden or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said One Acre of Meadow to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first Proclamation and Default are here inrolled.

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person Edward Gosden One of the copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor And (in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland current in Great Britain to him paid by Thomas Gosden of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer) surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of the said Manor Four several pieces of Land containing by estimation One acre more or less part of Four acres of Land lying in the common Field called Widecroft within this Manor one of which said four pieces of Land abuts on the west part to Land of William Smith on the east to the Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the north to Land of James Loveland and on the south to Land of Mrs Geale One other of the said pieces of Land abuts on Lands of the Devisees of the said Joseph Bell on the west and north and to the lands of Mrs Geale on the east and south  One other of the said Pieces of Land abuts on Lands of Mrs Geale on the west east and south parts and on Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the north and the other piece of Land abuts on the Land of Mrs Geale on the west to inclosed Land of James Loveland on the south and to Land of the Devisees of Joseph Bell on the north and to Land now or late of Ann Waterer on the west and to which said Four several pieces of Land the said Edward Gosden had at this Court before been admitted To the only proper and absolute use and behoof of the said Thomas Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever  Now at this Court the first Proclamation was made for the said Thomas Gosden or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to the said One Acre of Meadow to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first Proclamation and Default are here inrolled.
