At a General Court Baron of The Right Honorable George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Monday the second day of July in the forty fourth year of the Reign of King George the third One thousand eight hundred and four Before Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward there.

At this Court the second Proclamation was made for James Searle one of the Devisees of George Rempnant deceased or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to One third part of All that Customary messuage or tenement with the appurtenances called or known by the name of Collyers with the Edifices buildings barn stable garden orchard and all and singular the customary arable meadow and pasture Lands to the same messuage belonging and appertaining situate lying and being in the Parish of Bisley within this Manor late George Rempnants The whole of which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of Mary Searle to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the second Proclamation and Default are here inrolled.

At this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person James Loveland one of the Sons of and Devisee for Life named in the last Will and Testament of Thomas Loveland deceased late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor And prayed to be admitted to All that one Tenement with a Barn Edifices Gardens and appurtenances to the same belonging and two Parcels of Land called Brook Ground lying together containing by estimation three acres formerly the Lands of William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford situate lying and being in the Parish and Manor of Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Loveland for and during the term of his natural Life subject nevertheless as in the Will of the said Thomas Loveland is mentioned by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Two Shillings Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Loveland was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid and the Fine for such his estate therein to be had appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
Also at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and prayed to be admitted as aforesaid to All that one Meadow called Little Mead containing by estimation one acre and an half with the appurtenances formerly the Lands of the said William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Loveland for and during the term of his natural Life (Subject as aforesaid) by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Four Pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Loveland was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid and the Fine for such his estate therein to be had appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
Also at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and prayed to be admitted as aforesaid to All those two Closes of Land by estimation two acres and an half with the appurtenances formerly the Lands of the said William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor  which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland as presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Loveland for and during the term of his natural Life (Subject as aforesaid) by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of One Shilling Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Loveland was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid and the Fine for such his estate therein to be had in the last mentioned premises appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
Also at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and prayed to be admitted as aforesaid to All that one Meadow lying in Churchburn Mead and one acre lying in the Common Field called Widecroft  formerly the Lands of the said William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor  which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Loveland for and during the term of his natural Life (Subject as aforesaid) by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of One Shilling Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Loveland was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid and the Fine for such his estate therein to be had in the last mentioned premises appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
Also at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and prayed to be admitted as aforesaid to All that one Messuage called Wellers with all the Barns Stables Edifices Gardens Orchards and Curtilages to the said Messuage belonging and three Closes to the same belonging containing by estimation seven acres and one Meadow called Newbridge Mead by estimation two acres and three acres of Land by estimation lying in the Common Field called Well Croft and one acre of Land by estimation lying in the Common Field called Southnest And three acres of Land lying in the Common Field called North Hills and half an acres of Meadow lying in a common Mead called Westburn Mead and four acres of Land by estimation lying in a Common Field called Neltro with the appurtenances  formerly the Lands of the said William Claverly and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor  which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Loveland for and during the term of his natural Life (Subject as aforesaid) by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Five Shillings and one penny halfpenny Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Loveland was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid And the Fine for such his estate therein to be had in the last mentioned premises appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
Also at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and prayed to be admitted as aforesaid to All those four acres of Land lying in North Hills and one acre and an half of Land lying in Wide Croft with the appurtenances in the said Parish and Manor which also came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Loveland for and during the term of his natural Life (Subject as aforesaid) by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Seven Pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Loveland was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid and the Fine for such his estate therein to be had in the last mentioned premises appears afterwards and his Fealty was respited.
And also at this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said James Loveland and prayed to be admitted as aforesaid to All that Close of Land called North Hills containing by estimation four acres and an half formerly parcel of the Land of Henry Cobbett  and afterwards of Joseph Hone and since of the Earl of Aylesford in the said Parish and Manor which also came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the Death of the said Thomas Loveland  To whom the Lord of this Manor by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said James Loveland for and during the term of his natural Life (Subject as aforesaid) by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Seven Pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so the said James Loveland was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for this and his said six former admittances appears in the Margin [£30] and his Fealty was respited.

The Homage Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court in the words following Viz.t “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey  Be it remembered that  on the Twenty fourth day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and three James Martin the Elder of Bisley in the County of Surrey Yeoman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor Hath Surrendered and by these Presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor and according to the Custom of the same Manor  All and every the Copyhold or Customary Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments of him the said James Martin and by him held as part and parcel of the Manor aforesaid  To the use and behoof of such person or persons And for such Estate and Interest therein and to and for such uses intents and purposes as he the said James Martin shall in and by his last will and Testament Give will devise limit direct or appoint the same.  James Martin the Elder X X  his marks – This Surrender was taken the Day and year first above written by my acceptance Joseph Pickstone Stew.d”

The Homage Present a certain other Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court in the words following Viz.t “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey  Be it remembered that  on the Twenty first Day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and four James Rogers of Chobham in the County of Surrey Yeoman one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor Hath Surrendered and by these Presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward of the said Manor and according to the Custom of the same Manor  All and every the Copyhold or Customary Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments of him the said James Rogers held as part and parcel of the said Manor To the use and behoof of such person or persons and for such Estate and Interest therein And to and for such uses intents and purposes as the said James Rogers shall in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing Give limit direct or appoint the same.  Ja.s Rogers – This Surrender was taken the day and year above written by my acceptance Joseph Pickstone Stew.d”

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person James Living of Chertsey in Surrey Gentleman one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of this Manor and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Steward and according to the custom of this Manor  All that Barn and the Land whereon a Messuage formerly stood called Cowhurst And two Closes called the Barn Closes containing by estimation four acres and one Close called the Church Close containing by estimation three acres and one Close abutting upon the Barn late of Thomas Blundell containing by estimation three acres and also a parcel of Land called Cobbetts Coppice containing by estimation two acres more or less To the use and behoof of John Churchill of Chertsey in the County of Surrey Gentleman his heirs and assigns for ever Which said John Churchill being present here in Court in his proper person prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Barn and Land called Cowhurst and the said Closes called the Barn Closes Church Close and Blundells Barn Close in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said John Churchill his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of One Shilling and eight pence by apportionment Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his estate to be had in the premises as appears in the Margin [-] And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said John Churchill and prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Parcel of Land called Cobbets Coppice To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his steward aforesaid Granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said John Churchill his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for this and his said former admittance as appears in the Margin [£18] and his Fealty was respited.

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person James Loveland and surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the said Steward according to the custom of this Manor  All and every his Customary or Copyhold Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments holden by him as part and parcel of this Manor To the use and behoof of such person or persons and for such estate and estates uses intents and purposes as he shall in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing Give devise limit direct or appoint the same.
