Be it Remembered that on the Twenty Seventh day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Nine James Martin of Chobham in the County of Surrey Farmer One of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor Hath Surrendered by the Rod and by these presents Doth Surrender into the Hands of the Lord of thisd Manor by the Acceptance of Thomas Sibthorpe Gentleman Deputy of John Chandler Gentleman Chief Steward thereof All that Customary Messuage or Tenement called Belfors with the Bards Edifices Gardens Orchards and Curtilages to the same belonging with the Appurtenances And also all the Customary Lands to the same belonging formerly in the Tenure or occupation of William Cobbett lying in Bisley within this And also Five Acres and an half of Customary Land with the Appurtenances lying in divers places dispersedly in Bisley  To the only Use and Behoof of James Friend of Chobham aforesaid Yeoman his Heirs and Assigns forever Provided always and upon this condition Nevertheless if the said James Martin his Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Friend his Executors or Administrators the full Sum of One Hundred Pounds together with Interest for the same after the Rate of Five pounds for One Hundred pounds for a year of good and lawful Money of Great Britain upon the Twenty Seventh day of July next ensuing the date hereof without any Deduction to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever That then this Surrender shall be Void or else remain in full force and Virtue.

 This Surrender was taken the day and Year first above written by the Acceptance of me.
