A Private Court Baron of Abel Walter Esq.r there held this Sixth Day of January 1740 & in the 14 year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the Second by Henry Walter Gent Steward there

At this Court the Homage present that Richard Collyer of Bisley in the County of Surry Yeoman out of Court and since the last Court to wit on the Eighteenth day of November last did Surrender into the Hands of the Lord by the Acceptance of Henry Whittall and James Wye two Copyholders of this Mannor All that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with Garden containing by Estim one Rod formerly belonging to Blanch Wisdom Widow w.h the Appurts within this Mannor To the Use and Behoofe of John Robinson of Woking in the said County Yeoman his Heirs & Assigns for ever  And the said John Robinson being present in Court prayed to be admitted to the premes To whom the Lord by his Steward af.d hath granted the premes af.d To Have and to Hold to the said John Robinson his Heirs & Assigns for ever By Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Mannor by the Rents Customs and Services therefore due & of right accustomed and they gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Estate as appears in the Margin [Fine for both £1 11s 6d] & so he was admitted Tennant had Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.
