At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable George Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor there held for the said Manor on Monday the Twelfth day of February in the Fiftieth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the third One thousand eight hundred and ten Before Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward there.

The Homage aforesaid being Sworn and Charged on their oaths Do say and Present That Ann the Wife of William Spong (before her marriage with him called Ann Towers Spinster) and late one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor Died sometime since leaving the said William her surviving And that the said Ann together with her said Husband by a certain Surrender taken out of Court bearing date the twenty eighth day of August One thousand seven hundred and seventy six (and which Surrender was presented at a Court Baron held for the said Manor on the eighteenth day of August One thousand seven hundred and seventy seven) Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor One Cottage and fourteen Rods of Land by estimation more or less and one parcel of Land called the Common Plott containing by estimation one quarter of an acre lying near Knaphill in Bisley  To the Use and Behoof of such person or persons for such Estate or Estates therein as the said William Spong and Ann his Wife should from time to time at any time thereafter during their joint Lives by any Surrender or Surrenders Instrument or Instruments in Writing by them duly executed limit declare or appoint the same And for want of such direction limitation or appointment To the only proper Use and Behoof of them the said William Spong and Ann his Wife their heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said William Spong humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the Scite of the said Cottage and Land with the appurtenances the Cottage having many years ago fallen to decay an been taken down  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said William Spong his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of One Shilling Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in Form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his Estate therein to be had as appears in the Margin [£1 10s] And his Fealty was Respited.

And immediately after his said Admittance the said William Spong being still present here in Court in his proper person (in Consideration of the Sum of Fifteen Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to him paid by James Turner of the parish of Wokeing in the County of Surrey Nurseryman) Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the custom of the said Manor  The Scite of the said One Cottage and fourteen Rods of Land by estimation more or less and one parcel of Land called the Common Plott containing by estimation one quarter of an acre lying near Knaphill in Bisley to which he had immediately before been admitted To the Use of the said James Turner his heirs and assigns for ever Whereupon the said James Turner being present here in Court in his proper person humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the Scite of the said Cottage and Lands in pursuance of the said Surrender  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said the said James Turner his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of one shilling Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in Form aforesaid Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his Estate therein to be had as appears in the Margin [£1 2s 6d] And his Fealty was Respited.

And again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said William Spong (in Consideration of the Sum of Thirty five Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain to him paid by the said James Turner) Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the custom of the said Manor  The Scite of One Messuage or Cottage and certain Customary Land to the same belonging containing by estimation one acre or thereabouts with the appurtenances in Bisley  To the Use of the said James Turner his heirs and assigns for ever Whereupon the said James Turner being present here in Court in his proper person humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the said Scite of One Messuage or Cottage and certain Customary Land to the same belonging with the appurtenances in pursuance of the said Surrender  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said the said James Turner his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of Two shillings Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in Form aforesaid Gave to the Lord for a Fine for such his Estate therein to be had as appears in the Margin [£1 17s 6d] And his Fealty was Respited.

And the said James Turner being still present here into Court in his proper person Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the custom of the said Manor All and every the Copyhold or Customary Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments of him the said James Turner held as parts and parcels of this Manor  To the Use of such person or persons and for such Intents and Purposes as he shall in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing Give Will Devise Direct Limit or Appoint the same.
