A Court Baron of The Right Honourable Richard Lord Onslow Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor held for the said Manor on Tuesday the Twelfth day of December in the Tenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c And in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Sixty nine Before John Chandler Gentleman Steward there.

The Homage Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court, to wit, on the Fifteenth Day of October One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight Whereby Robert Clarke one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor Did Surrender into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor by the acceptance of Arthur Harding and John Hill two other Customary Tenants of this Manor by the Rod according to the Custom of the said Manor All that his Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Garden and Orchard and One Close of Land thereunto adjoining by Estimation One Acre more or less with all its appurts called or known by the Name of Cumbers all lying and being in the Manor of Bisley and now in the Occupation of the said Robert Clarke  To the only use and Behoof of James Gyles of the Parish of Pirbright in the said County of Surrey Blacksmith and his heirs and Assigns forever according to the Custom of the said Manor  Subject nevertheless that is to say that if the said Robert Clarke his Heirs Exors Admors or Assigns should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Gyles his Heirs Exors Admors or assigns the full Sum of Twenty Five Pounds of Lawful Money of Great Britain with Interest for the same at the Rate of Four Pounds for the year for a hundred Pounds on or upon the Fifteenth day of October which should be in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty nine without Fraud or Delay then the said Surrender is to be Void and of none Effect or else Remain in full force and Virtue.

The Homage also Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court, to wit, on the Twenty Seventh Day of May One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine Whereby John Field of Worplesdon in the County of Surrey Cordwainer one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor Did Surrender into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor by the acceptance of the Steward thereof by the Rod according to the Custom of the said Manor All that his one Close of Land by Estimation two acres abutting upon the Land formerly of Humphrey Field on the North and West and the Lane leading from Bisley Green towards Velley Green on the East and two acres of Land lying in the Common Field called Neltro with the Appurts in Bisley aforesaid  And also all that Messuage or Tenement Commonly called or known by the Name of Newbridge house lying and being in Bisley afores.d with the Barn Orchard Garden and other Appurts to the same belonging and all his Estate Right Title and Interest therein and thereto respectively To the only proper use and behoof of John Dudman of Bisley aforesaid Husbandman his heirs and Assigns forever and for no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever  Whereupon at this Court upon the first Proclamation Came into Court in his proper person the said John Dudman and humbly prayed to be admitted to the said Close of Land containing two acres abutting as aforesaid and the said other two acres of Land in Neltro with the appurts To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To hold to the said John Dudman his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Manor by the Yearly Rent of Six Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as hereafter mentioned he is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.
And also Whereupon at this Court upon the first Proclamation came again into Court in his proper person the said John Dudman and humbly prayed to be admitted to the said Messuage or Tenement called Newbridge House with the Appurts To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward granted the same To hold to the said John Dudman his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of Ten Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and the said James Towers Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his second admittance and for his said former admittance as appears in the margin [Fine for both £4.4s] he is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord of this Manor.
And immediately after such admittances Came again into Court in his proper person the said John Dudman and in open Court Surrendered into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor by the Acceptance of the said Steward by the Rod according to the Custom of this Manor all the same Prem.es To the use of Himself and Elizabeth his Wife for and during the Term of their Natural Lives and the Life of the Longest liver of them and from and after the Decease of either of them To the use and behoof of the survivor of them the said John Dudman and Elizabeth and the Heirs and Assigns of such Survivor forever Whereupon the said John Dudman and Elizabeth his Wife being present here in Court humbly prayed to be admitted to the said Close of Land containing two acres abutting as aforesaid and also the said other two acres of Land in Neltro with the Appurts To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To hold to them the said John Dudman and Elizabeth his Wife and their assigns for and during the Term of their Natural Lives and the Life of the longest liver of them and from and after the Decease of either of them to the Survivor of them the said John Dudman and Elizabeth his Wife and the Heirs and Assigns of such Survivor forever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Manor by the Yearly Rent of Six Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and they Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such their  admittances as appears afterwards they are admitted Tenant thereof have Seizin by the Rod and the said John Dudman did Fealty to the Lord.
And also Whereupon at this Court the said John Dudman and Elizabeth his Wife being still Present in Court humbly prayed to be admitted to the said Messuage or Tenement called Newbridge House with the Appurts To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To hold to them the said John Dudman and Elizabeth his Wife and their assigns for and during the Term of their Natural Lives and the Life of the longest liver of them and from and after the Decease of either of them to the Survivor of them the said John Dudman and Elizabeth his Wife and the Heirs and Assigns of such Survivor for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of Ten Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and they Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such their second admittance and for their said former admittance as appears in the margin [Fine for both £2.2s] They are admitted Tenant thereof as aforesaid have Seizin by the Rod and the said John Dudman did Fealty to the Lord.

The Homage also Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court, to wit, on the Eighteenth Day of April One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine Whereby Daniel Goodener one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor Did Surrender into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor by the acceptance of Arthur Harding and Moses Evered two other Copyhold Tenants of this Manor All that his Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Turf House Garden and all and every the Appurts thereunto belonging
situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid and now in the Occupation of him the said Daniel Goodener Also one Close of Copyhold Arable Land by Estimation two Acres more or less with all and every the Appurts situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid and part of it adjoining to the Common near Stavick Leak Bridge To the only use and behoof of Joseph Beauchamp of Chobham in the County of Surrey Yeoman to him and to his heirs and Assigns forever according to the Custom of the said Manor  Subject nevertheless (that is to say) if the said Daniel Goodener his Heirs Exors Admors or Assigns should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Joseph Beauchamp his Heirs Exors Admors or Assigns the full Sum of Forty Pounds of good and Lawful Money of Great Britain with Interest for the same at the Rate of Four Pounds by the year for a hundred Pounds on or upon the Eighteenth day of April which should be in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy without Fraud or Delay Then the said Surrender should be Void and of no Effect Otherwise to be and  Remain in full force and Virtue.
[Margin note: Memorandum that on the Sixth Day of March One thousand seven hundred and seventy three Joseph Beauchamp in this Surrender named Did acknowledge to have received of and from the said Daniel Goodener all Principal and interest due on the said Surrender and by a Warrant under his hand of the same Date Did impower me to Enter his Satisfaction on the Court Rolls and Books of this Manor. The Homage also Present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court, to wit, on the Twenty ninth Day of October One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Eight Whereby Thomas Wisdom one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor Did Surrender into the Hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the acceptance of John Chandler Gent Steward of the said Manor One Messuage Tenement or Cottage and one acre of Land with the Appurts to the same adjoining lying in Bisley within the said Manor And also the Scite of a Cottage or Tenement called Vanits and one acre of Land to the same belonging with the Appurts and also one acre of Land late part of the Wast adjoining to a Close called Hassel Hill within the Manor And all his Estate Right Title and Interest therein and thereto  To the only use and Behoof of William Thick of Frimley in the said County of Surrey Wheelwright his heirs and Assigns forever and to no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever Whereupon at this Court upon the first Proclamation Came into Court in his proper person the said William Thick and humbly prayed to be admitted to the said One Messuage Tenement or Cottage and One acre of Land with the Appurts to the same adjoining lying in Bisley within this Manor To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward Granted the same To hold to the said William Thick his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of this Manor by the Yearly Rent of one Shilling Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as hereafter mentioned he is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.
And also Whereupon at this Court upon the first Proclamation came again into Court in his proper person the said William Thick and humbly prayed to be admitted to the said Scite of a Cottage or Tenement called Vanits and one Acre of Land to the Same belonging with the Appurtenances and also one acre of Land late part of the Wast adjoining to a Close called Hassell Hill within this Manor To whom the Lord of this Manor by his said Steward granted the same To hold to him the said William Thick his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of One Shilling and Six Pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and he gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his second admittance and for his said former admittance as appears in the margin [Fine for both £3.15s] he is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.

The Homage also Present a certain Surr.r taken out of Court and since the last Court, to wit, on the Ninth Day of March One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty nine Whereby Jane Goreing Widow one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor Did Surrender into the Hands of the Lord of this Manor by the acceptance of the said Steward by the Rod according to the Custom of the said Manor All those two Closes of Arable Land called the Bisley Fields and Float Fields Containing by Estimation together ten acres more or less situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid within this Manor with all and every the Appurtenances and all her Estate Right Title and Interest therein and thereto  To the only proper use and behoof of  her Youngest Son William Goreing of Horsel in the said County Yeoman his Heirs and Assigns forever and to or for no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever Whereupon at this Court the first Proclamation is made if the said William Goreing or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a Right to be admitted to the said Premisses with the Appurtenances would Come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they should be heard but Nobody Came whereupon the first Proclamation and Default are here inrolled.

At this Court upon the Second Proclamation Came into Court in her proper person Ann Towers Spinst. Sister and Heir of James Towers whose Death was Presented at the last General Court Baron holden for this Manor and humbly prayed to be admitted to One Cottage and Fourteen Rods of Land by Estimation more or less and one Parcel of Land Called the Common Plott by Estimation one quarter of an Acre lying and being at Knaphill in Bisley which came into the Hands of the Lord on the Death of the said James Towers To whom the Lord of the said Manor by his said Steward granted the same To hold to the said Ann Towers her Heirs and Assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the Yearly Rent of _______ [1s] Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Customs and Services therefore formerly due and of Right accustomed and she gave to the Lord as a Fine for such her admittance as appears in the margin [10s.6d] She is admitted Tenant thereof hath Seizin by the Rod and did Fealty to the Lord.

At this Court the second Proclamation is made if the Heir at Law of John Hone or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a Right to be admitted to a Barn called Old Barn and Lands to the same belonging also four Acres in the Common Field called Widecroft half an acre in the Common Field called North Hill Four acres and an half in the Common Field called Bircroft One acre of Meadow in Westborne Mead one acre of Meadow in Churchborne Mead Two Acres of Coppice called Moltride Two Acres of Coppice Parcel of a Coppice called Church Grove Certain Customary Lands called Ramps late Whiteings One Parcel of Land called Ramps by Estimation three acres with the Appurts Four Acres of Arable Land lying in the Common Field called Neltro and one acre of Coppice Parcel of a Coppice called Church Grove with the Appurts and also one Messuage or Tenement and Garden with the Appurts called Edmeads would Come into Court and take the same out of the Lords Hands he she or they should be heard but Nobody Came Whereupon the first Proclamation and Default are here inrolled.
