The General Court Baron of The Right Honorable William Hillier Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held in and for the said Manor on Wednesday the twentieth day of August in the forty third year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine Before Frederic Ferdinand Smallpeice Gentleman Steward there.

Admittance of William Job Carter
At this Court upon the third Proclamation came here into Court William Job Carter of Knaphill Woking in the County of Surrey by William Carter his Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that cottage or tenement erected and built by Edmund Vincent together with the garden and yard used therewith formerly in the occupation of Joseph Pearce containing altogether a scite of eighty rods or thereabouts situate lying and being at Miles Green in the Parish of Bisley and part and parcel of certain lands called Wheat Leaz with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of John Slann  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said William Job Carter his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears afterwards and his fealty was respited.
Admittance of same
Also at this Court upon the third Proclamation came here again into Court the said William Job Carter by the said William Carter his Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that piece or parcel of land heretofore waste of this Manor containing about half a rod in width and ten rods in length more or less being contiguous to and in front of his property at Bisley aforesaid and bounded on the North by the premises of the said William Job Carter and on the South east and West by the Green at Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said John Slann  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said William Job Carter his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of One shilling Heriot certain two shillings and sixpence suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed and so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as Fines for such his two several admittances as appears in the margin [Fines for both.  On death of John Slann £12 On death of Georgiana Mary Ann Carter £12] and his fealty was respited.
Appointment of Guardian
And because it appears that the said William Job Carter is an infant under the age of twenty one years to wit of the age of twelve years or thereabouts the custody as well of the person as of the estate of the said William Job Carter is granted to his father the said William Carter until the said Infant shall attain the age of twenty one years He the said William Carter keeping and observing the custom of the said Manor in all things and rendering an account of the rents and profits of the premises the said Infant when he shall attain his age of twenty one years and the said William Carter is admitted Guardian accordingly

Admittance of James Rempnant Searle
At this Court upon the second Proclamation came here into Court in his proper person James Rempnant Searle of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that messuage or tenement with the edifices buildings Barn stable garden and orchard thereunto belonging and also all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Orchard Field and containing by estimation two acres and also all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Ford Mead and containing by estimation three acres and a half all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Coneybury Field containing by estimation three acres together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same messuage or tenement pieces or parcels of land belonging situate lying and being at in the Parish of Bisley within the said Manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of Ann Searle  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said James Rempnant Searle his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of three shillings and threepence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£40] and his fealty was respited.

2nd Proclamation on death of Charles Baker
At this Court the second Proclamation was made for the heir at law of the said Charles Baker deceased or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All those three acres of land whereon a Messuage has been erected with the appurtenances formerly part of the waste of the said Manor lying at Hassell Hall between Cowshot and Staveck Lane in Bisley within the said Manor formerly in the tenure or occupation of Robert Goodener his undertenants or assigns since of James Faggetter and John Tyler afterwards of Abraham Groves and now or late of Charles Boylett which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Ann Searle to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the second Proclamation and default are here inrolled.

Absolute Surrender Lydia Hone and Henry Clements to William Chandler
The Homage aforesaid being sworn and charged on their Oath Do present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the first day of November One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight Whereby Lydia Hone of Henley on Thames in the County of Oxford Widow and Henry Clements of the same place Collector of Taxes two of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the sum of One hundred and twenty two pounds to them the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements paid by William Chandler of Bisley in the County of Surrey Farmer did Surrender by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the hands and acceptance of John Cooper Deputy Steward for that purpose only All that piece or parcel of land or ground containing one acre two roods and twenty nine perches situate and being in Neltro Common Field and bounded on the North by old enclosed lands belonging in part to the said William Chandler and in part to ________ and also by the allotment numbered 9 on the Inclosure Plan and the allotment next hereinafter described and numbered 5 on the same plan on the East by a road leading from Guildford to Bisley on the South by the allotment awarded to William Eacott and numbered 10 and 11 on the same plan and on the west by the Allotment awarded to William Chandler deceased and numbered 8 on the same plan which said piece of land was numbered 4 on the same plan And also all that piece or parcel of land formerly the property of the said William Chandler deceased containing twenty one perches bounded on the north by other old inclosed land of the said William Chandler and on the south and east and west by the said allotment numbered 4 on the said Inclosure Plan which allotment lastly hereinbefore described is numbered 5 on the said plan all which premises thereby surrendered were part of certain copyhold hereditaments formerly described on the Court Rolls of the said Manor as “All that one close of customary arable land late Woodland containing by estimation two acres more or less and two acres of land more or less lying in the Common Field called North Hill” to which said hereditaments thereby surrendered the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements were admitted tenants at a General Court Baron held for the said manor on the twentieth day of August One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight To the absolute use and behoof of the said William Chandler his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the Manor of Bisley aforesaid

Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court in his proper person the said William Chandler and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to All that the said piece or parcel of land or ground containing one acre two roods and twenty nine perches situate and being in Neltro Common Field and bounded on the North by old enclosed lands belonging in part to the said William Chandler and in part to __________ and also by the allotment numbered 9 on the Inclosure Plan and the allotment next hereinafter described and numbered 5 on the same plan on the East by a road leading from Guildford to Bisley on the South by the allotment awarded to William Eacott and numbered 10 and 11 on the same plan and on the west by the Allotment awarded to William Chandler deceased and numbered 8 on the same plan which said piece of land was numbered 4 on the same plan And also all that piece or parcel of land formerly the property of the said William Chandler deceased containing twenty one perches bounded on the north by other old inclosed land of the said William Chandler and on the south and east and west by the said allotment numbered 4 on the said Inclosure Plan which allotment lastly hereinbefore described is numbered 5 on the said plan in pursuance of the said surrender  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said William Chandler his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent to be apportioned Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£6] and his fealty was respited.

Absolute Surrender Lydia Hone and Henry Clements to John Frederick Cooper
The Homage aforesaid being sworn and charged on their Oath Do present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the Eighth day of August One thousand eight hundred and seventy nine Whereby Lydia Hone of New Town Rotherfield Greys in the County of Oxford Widow and Henry Clements of Henley on Thames in the same County Collector of Taxes two of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the sum of One hundred and ten two pounds to them the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements paid by John Frederick Cooper of Henley upon Thames in the County of Oxford gentleman did Surrender by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the hands and acceptance of John Cooper Deputy Steward for that time and purpose only All that one close of customary land late woodland containing two acres now commonly known as “Smith’s Plat” and containing by admeasurement one two acres and one perch to which said hereditaments thereby surrendered the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements were admitted tenants at a General Court Baron held for the said manor on the twentieth day of August One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight To the absolute use and behoof of the said John Frederick Cooper his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the Manor of Bisley aforesaid
Admittance of John Frederick Cooper
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said John Frederick Cooper by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice his Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to All that the said one close of customary land late woodland containing two acres now commonly known as “Smith’s Plat” and containing by admeasurement one two acres and one perch in pursuance of the said surrender  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said John Frederick Cooper his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent to be apportioned Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£10 10s] and his fealty was respited.

Apportionment of Quit Rent
The Homage do now apportion the Quit Rent of sixpence payable in respect of the Copyhold hereditaments so surrendered to the use of the said William Chandler and John Frederick Cooper respectively as aforesaid as follows: that is to say for the pieces or parcels of land surrendered to the use of the said William Chandler the sum of three pence and for the said close of land surrendered to the use of the said John Frederick Cooper the sum of three pence

Power of Attorney
The Homage also present a certain Power of Attorney bearing date the first day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight under the hands and seals of Lydia Hone and Henry Clements in the words following “To all to whom these presents shall come we Lydia Hone of New Town Rotherfield Greys near Henley on Thames in the County of Oxford Widow and Henry Clements of Henley on Thames aforesaid Collector of Taxes Send Greeting: Know ye that we the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements have constituted and appointed and by these presents do constitute and appoint John Cooper of Henley on Thames aforesaid Gentleman our true and lawful Attorney for us and in our names to appear at the next or any General or Special Court Baron to be holden for the Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey or out of Court before the Steward or customary tenants of the said Manor and then and there for us and in our names and on our behalves to surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor according to the custom of the said Manor All that one Close of Customary arable land containing by estimation One acre more or less now commonly known as Black Jacks situate near to Bisley Church and containing by admeasurement One acre one rood and three perches which said close formerly formed part and parcel of the copyhold premises described in the Court Rolls of the said Manor as All that customary messuage or tenement with the Orchard formerly in the tenure of Philip Roberts and one close of land to the same belonging containing by estimation one acre more or less and one acre of land more or less in Neltro with the appurtenances which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the surrender of Thomas Heckstall Smith Joseph Prior and Edmund Boyle Church and to which said hereditaments we the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements were admitted tenants at a Special Court Baron held for this Manor on the twentieth day of August last To the Use of James Parker of Bisley Common in the county of Surrey Farmer his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor And also generally for us and in our names to do execute and perform all such acts deeds matters and things whatsoever as shall be requisite and necessary for effectuating the purposes aforesaid as fully and effectually to all intents and purposes as we the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements might or could do in our own proper persons And we do hereby agree to ratify allow and confirm all and whatsoever our said attorney shall do or cause to be done in and about the premises by virtue of these presents In witness whereof we the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements have hereunto set our hands and seals this first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seventy eight.  Lydia Hone  Henry Clements Signed seal and delivered by the above name Lydia Hone and Henry Clements in the presence of Geo. Absolute Surrender Lydia Hone and Henry Clements to James Parker
The Homage also present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the second day of November One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight Whereby Lydia Hone of Henley on Thames in the County of Oxford Widow and Henry Clements of the same place Collector of Taxes Copyhold or Customary tenants of the said Manor by John Cooper of Henley on Thames aforesaid Gentleman their Attorney duly authorised in consideration of the sum of Seventy two pounds ten shillings to them paid by James Parker of Bisley in the County of Surrey Carrier did Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the Rod  and by the acceptance of the Steward and according to the custom of the said Manor All that one close of customary arable land containing by estimation One acre more or less now commonly known as “Black Jacks” situate near to Bisley Church and containing by estimation One acre one rood and three perches which said close formerly formed part and parcel of the copyhold premises described in the Court Rolls of the said Manor as “All that customary messuage or tenement with the Orchard formerly in the tenure of Philip Roberts and one close of land to the same belonging containing by estimation one acre more or less and one acre of land more or less in Neltro with the appurtenances” to which said premises (amongst others) the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements were admitted tenants at a Special Court Baron held for the said manor on the twentieth day of August One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight To the only proper use and behoof of the said James Parker his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the Manor of Bisley aforesaid To hold by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by and under the rents fines suits and services therefore due and of right accustomed

The Homage also present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court to wit on the Eighth day of August One thousand eight hundred and seventy nine whereby Lydia Hone of New Town Rotherfield Greys in the County of Oxford Widow and Henry Clements of Henley on Thames in the same County Collector of Taxes two of the Copyhold or customary Tenants of the said Manor in consideration of the sum of Thirty five pounds to them the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements paid by Henry Gosden of Bisley Green in the County of Surrey Laborer did Surrender by the rod into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the hands and acceptance of John Cooper Deputy Steward for that time and purpose only All that cottage with a garden yard and appurtenances situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid formerly in the occupation of William Pritchett and since of William Harvey
and now of the said Henry Gosden to which said hereditaments thereby surrendered the said Lydia Hone and Henry Clements were admitted tenants at a Special Court Baron held for the said manor on the twentieth day of August One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight To the absolute use and behoof of the said Henry Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor
Admittance of Henry Gosden
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Henry Gosden by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice his Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to All that the said cottage with a garden yard and appurtenances situate lying and being in Bisley aforesaid formerly in the occupation of William Pritchett and since of William Harvey
and now of the said Henry Gosden deceased in pursuance of the said surrender  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Henry Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [£3] and his fealty was respited.

Death of Robert Bates Wade
The Homage also present that Robert Bates Wade late one of the copyhold or customary Tenants of this manor who held to him and his heirs by  copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor  All that piece or parcel of land containing by estimation one acre and a half or thereabouts with the messuage or tenement and other buildings thereupon erected and set up by John Field in Bisley aforesaid by the yearly rent of sixpence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs And also All that piece or parcel of land containing two roods and twenty four perches situate in Westbourne Common which under the Award of the Commissioner appointed to inclose the Common fields within the parish of Bisley was awarded and allotted to John Robinson in lieu of All that one acre of meadow lying in the common Mead called Westbourne within the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs And also all that piece or parcel of the waste of this manor situate at Bisley Green containing by estimation forty rods more or less bounded on the South by the Highway leading from Chobham to Frimley on the West by the Waste of this manor on the North by property belonging to the said Robert Bates Wade and on the east by property belonging to William Tringham by the yearly rent of one penny Heriot certain two shillings and six pence Suit of Court and other services and customs died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon two Heriots of the best live beasts of the said Robert Bates Wade and a Heriot certain of two shillings and six pence became due to the Lord of this manor but the former were not seized because the said Robert Bates Wade had no live beasts at the time of his death.
His Will
The Homage also present that the said Robert Bates Wade duly made his Will dated the second day of January one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven (the Probate whereof is now produced and read in open Court) Whereby he gave and devised his copyhold farm and premises situate at Woking in the County of Surrey and his copyhold farm and premises situate at Bisley in the said County of Surrey with the appurtenances thereto respectively belonging unto and to the use of his son Frederick Wade his heirs and assigns

Admittance of Frederick Wade
Now at this Court upon the first proclamation came here into Court the said Frederick Wade by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice his Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to All that the said piece or parcel of land containing by estimation one acre and a half or thereabouts with the messuage or tenement and other buildings thereupon erected and set up by John Field in Bisley which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Robert Bates Wade deceased  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Frederick Wade his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of sixpence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears afterwards and his fealty was respited.
Admittance of same
Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Frederick Wade by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice his Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to All that the said piece or parcel of land containing two roods and twenty four perches situate in Westbourne Common which under the Award of the Commissioner appointed to inclose the Common fields within the parish of Bisley was awarded and allotted to John Robinson in lieu of All that one acre of meadow lying in the common Mead called Westbourne within the said Manor which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Robert Bates Wade deceased  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Frederick Wade his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears afterwards and his fealty was respited.

Also at this Court upon the first proclamation came here again into Court the said Frederick Wade by Humphrey Percy Smallpeice his Attorney and humbly prayed to be admitted tenant to All that the said piece or parcel of the waste of this manor situate at Bisley Green containing by estimation forty rods more or less bounded on the South by the Highway leading from Chobham to Frimley on the West by the Waste of this manor on the North by property belonging to the said Robert Bates Wade and on the east by property belonging to William Tringham which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Robert Bates Wade deceased  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the Rod  To hold to the said Frederick Wade his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of One penny Heriot when it shall happen suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was by his said Attorney admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such his admittance as appears in the margin [Fine for the whole £14] and his fealty was respited.

Death of Frederic Joseph Bowyer
The Homage also present that Frederic Joseph Bowyer late one of the copyhold or customary tenants of this manor who held to him and his heirs by copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor  All that one messuage or tenement (now converted into two tenements) and three closes of land containing by estimation two acres more or less formerly in the possession of Henry Hayward and which said messuages or tenements are now or late were in the respective occupations of _______ Hill and ________ Robinson and the three closes of land in the occupation of Mess.rs Godfrey and Waterer by the yearly rent of sixpence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs And also all that piece or parcel of land part of the waste of this Manor situate at Knaphill Lane End containing about thirty rods more or less and which said piece or parcel of land is bounded on the south by the highway road leading to Bisley and adjoins to certain premises late belonging to James Bedford by the yearly rent of two pence Heriot certain of two shillings and six pence suit of Court and other services and customs And also all that piece or parcel of land part of the waste of this Manor containing fifty rods more or less situate at a place called Peters in the Parish of Bisley and which said piece or parcel of land is bounded on the west by property belonging to the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer on the South by the Road leading from Knaphill to Bisley on the East by the Road leading from Guildford to Bagshot and on the North by an old enclosure belonging to the said Fredric Joseph Bowyer by the yearly rent of six pence Heriot certain of two shillings and six pence suit of Court and other services and customs died since the last Court so thereof seized Whereupon a Heriot of the best live beast of the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer and two Heriots certain of two shillings and six pence and two shillings and six pence respectively became due to the Lord of this manor and a Horse was seized and compounded for at the sum of Fifty Pounds
1st Proclamation on death of Frederic Joseph Bowyer
Now at this Court the first proclamation was made for the heir at law of the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that the said one messuage or tenement (now converted into two tenements) and three closes of land containing by estimation two acres more or less formerly in the possession of Henry Hayward and which said messuages or tenements are now or late were in the respective occupations of _______ Hill and ________ Robinson and the three closes of land in the occupation of Mess.rs Godfrey and Waterer which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are inrolled.

Also at this Court the first proclamation was made for the heir at law of the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that the said piece or parcel of land part of the waste of this Manor situate at Knaphill Lane End containing about thirty rods more or less and which said piece or parcel of land is bounded on the south by the highway road leading to Bisley and adjoins to certain premises late belonging to James Bedford which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are inrolled.

Also at this Court the first proclamation was made for the heir at law of the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer or any other person or persons who hath or have a right to be admitted to All that the said piece or parcel of land part of the waste of this Manor containing fifty rods more or less situate at a place called Peters in the Parish of Bisley and which said piece or parcel of land is bounded on the west by property belonging to the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer on the South by the Road leading from Knaphill to Bisley on the East by the Road leading from Guildford to Bagshot and on the North by an old enclosure belonging to the said Fredric Joseph Bowyer which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of the said Frederic Joseph Bowyer to come into Court and take the same out of the hands of the Lord of this Manor but no one came Whereupon the first proclamation and default are inrolled.

Conditional Surrender Thomas Litchford Rawlinson to Martha Maria Cook
The Homage also present a certain Conditional Surrender taken out of Court and since the last General Court in the words following to wit “Manor of Bisley in the County of Surrey  Be it remembered that on the twenty third day of August in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy six Thomas Litchford Rawlinson late of Stamford in the County of Lincoln Glazier and now of Great Yarmouth in the County of Norfolk Lodgeing House Keeper a Copyhold tenant of the said Manor came before me William Holt Gentleman Deputy Steward of the said manor and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred Pounds sterling to the said Thomas Litchford Rawlinson lent and paid by Martha Maria Cook of Great Yarmouth aforesaid Spinster before the passing of the Surrender hereinafter mentioned and in pursuance of the covenant of him the said Thomas Litchford Rawlinson contained in an Indenture bearing date herewith made between the said Thomas Litchford Rawlinson of the one part and the said Martha Maria Cook of the other part  He the said Thomas Litchford Rawlinson did out of Court according to the custom of the said Manor surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the hands and acceptance of me the said Deputy Steward by the Rod in the presence and testimony of Edward Thomas Ayles a credible person attesting the same All that close or parcel of arable land situate at Bisley in the County of Surrey containing by estimation five acres and seven perches more or less formerly in the occupation of Joseph Bedford afterwards of Stephen Steptoe and late of ___________ Together with the messuage or tenement and other buildings erected and built thereon And also all that one close of land called Hunger Hills containing by estimation one acre and a half and four acres of land lying and being in the Common Field called Widecroft and two acres of land lying in the Common Field called South Earsh and one acre of land lying in the Common Field called Burcroft And also one mead called Newbridge Mead containing by estimation one acre and an acre and an half in Westburn Mead and half an acre of meadow in Churchburn Mead And also all that one meadow called Bisley Mead adjoining to Newbridge containing by estimation one acre more or less And also all and every other (if any) the messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever of him the said Thomas Litchford Rawlinson holden of the said Manor by copy of Court Roll with their appurtenances And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest use trust inheritance benefit property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Litchford Rawlinson therein and thereto To the use and behoof of the said Martha Maria Cook her heirs and assigns for ever Provided always and upon condition nevertheless that if the said Thomas Litchford Rawlinson his heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall on the twenty third day of February now next pay to the said Martha Maria Cook her executors administrators or assigns the sum of Three hundred Pounds sterling with interest for the same in the meantime at the rate of Four pounds per centum per annum without any deductions being the same sum and interest as are mentioned in and in part secured by the said Indenture hereinbefore referred to then the said Surrender is to be void and of no effect or otherwise to remain and be in full force and virtue  T L Rawlinson  Taken the day and year first above written by me William Holt Deputy Steward  In the presence of Edw.d J Ayers  - Received the day and year first within written of the above named Martha Maria Cook the sum of Three hundred Pounds above expressed to be paid by her to me  £300  J L Rawlinson Witness Edw.d J Ayles

The Homage also present that the copyhold or customary hereditaments to which The Reverend William Tringham was admitted tenant at a General Court Baron on the sixteenth day of August one thousand eight hundred and seventy six and at a Special Court Baron on the thirteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy six have been lately enfranchised and are now held freely of this Manor

The Homage also present that the copyhold or customary hereditaments to which William Williams was admitted tenant at a General Court Baron on the thirtieth day of May one thousand eight hundred and seventy at a Special Court Baron on the twenty fifth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy three and at a Special Court Baron on the twenty fourth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy four have been lately enfranchised and are now held freely of this Manor
