At a Special Court Baron of The Right Honorable William Hillier Earl of Onslow Lord of the said Manor held for the said Manor on Saturday the eighth day of August in the thirty eighth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four Before Humphrey Percy Smallpeice Deputy of Frederic Ferdinand Smallpeice Gentleman Chief Steward there.

At this Court came here into Court in her proper person Sarah Faggetter of Bisley in the County of Surrey Widow and delivered to the said Deputy Steward a certain Deed Poll bearing date the eighth day of June last in the words following “To all to whom these presents shall come William Luff late of Pirbright in the County of Surrey Farmer but now of No. 40 Grove Road Battersea in the County of Surrey and John Boxall of Guildford in the said County of Surrey Upholsterer Send Greeting Whereas John Faggetter late of Pirbright aforesaid Publican made his last Will and Testament in writing duly executed and attested bearing date the fourteenth day of March One thousand eight hundred and sixty three whereby he devised and bequeathed all his real Estate and the residue of his personal Estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto his Wife Sarah Faggetter John Woods of Stoke next Guildford in the said County of Surrey Gentleman and the said William Luff their heirs executors administrators and assigns Upon certain trusts by the said Will declared And whereas by a Codicil to his said Will dated the twenty fourth day of April One thousand eight hundred and seventy two the said Testator revoked his said Will so far as the said John Woods was an object thereof and substituted the said John Boxall in his place and declared that his said Will should be construed as if the name of the said John Boxall had been originally inserted throughout instead of the name of the said John Woods and in all other respects he confirmed his said Will And whereas the Testator made a second Codicil to his said Will dated the fourteenth day of January One thousand eight hundred and seventy three which did not affect the devises and bequests of his real and residuary personal Estates as above mentioned And whereas the said Testator died on the Eighteenth day of January One thousand eight hundred and seventy three without having altered or revoked by the said two Codicils thereto and without having altered or revoked such Codicils or either of them And whereas the said William Luff and John Boxall are desirous of disclaiming such portion of the real Estate expressed to be devised to them by the said recited Will and first Codicil thereto And the trusts powers or discretions therein expressed to be reposed or vested in them as consisted of copyhold or customary hereditaments held of any manor or manors of which the said Testator was seized or entitled to at the time of his decease Now these presents witness that they the said William Luff and John Boxall do and each of them doth hereby absolutely reject renounce and disclaim the devise of the real estate of the said Testator expressed to be made to them by the said recited Will and first Codicil thereto And all trusts powers and discretions thereby expressed to be reposed or vested in them and each of them so far as such real Estate consists of copyhold or customary hereditaments held of any manor or manors of which the said Testator was seized or entitled to at the time of his decease  Provided that nothing herein contained shall extend or be construed to be a Disclaimer of any other of the devises and bequests made to the said William Luff and John Boxall by the said Will and Codicil except such as are hereinbefore expressed to be herby renounced and disclaimed In witness whereof the said William Luff and John Boxall have hereunto set their hands and seals the eighth day of June One thousand eight hundred and seventy four – William Luff – Signed sealed and Delivered by the above named William Luff in the presence of Lewis Luff 40 Grove Batersea Surrey – John Boxall - Signed sealed and Delivered by the above named John Boxall in the presence of James Wallage Cabinet maker Stoke Field Guildford”

Admittance of Sarah Faggetter Ex Gratia
And thereupon the said Sarah Faggetter being present here in Court humbly prayed that the Lord of this Manor would of his special favour grant unto her the said Sarah Faggetter All that piece or parcel of the waste of this manor lying near Staveck Lake containing by estimation seventy rods more or less together with the three Cottages or Tenements thereupon erected and set up late in the occupation of James Hill George Mitchell and ______ Boylett with the appurtenances in Bisley which became forfeited to the Lord of this Manor for want of a tenant as presented at the last General Court Baron held for this Manor  To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Deputy Steward aforesaid of his special grace and favour and not of right granted the same and delivered seizin thereof by the rod To hold to the said Sarah Faggetter her heirs and assigns for ever (subject to a Conditional Surrender thereof made by John Faggetter deceased to Elizabeth Martin and dated the twentieth day of October One thousand eight hundred and sixty) by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the custom of the said Manor by the yearly rent of one penny Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other services and customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so she was admitted tenant thereof in form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a fine for such her admittance as appears in the margin [£27] and her fealty was pardoned.
