The Homage aforesaid being Sworn and Charged on their Oath present a certain Surrender taken out of Court and since the last Court in the words following (to Wit) “Manor of Bisley. Be it remembered that on the seventh day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nine Philip Gyles of the parish of Bisley in the County of Surrey Gardener one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor in Consideration of the Sum of Twenty four Pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand paid at or immediately before his making this Surrender by Thomas Waterer of Crastock in the parish of Wokeing in the said County of Surrey Farmer personally came before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Deputy Steward of Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Chief Steward of the Court of the said Manor out of Court and Hath Surrendered and by these presents doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the acceptance of the said Deputy Steward according to the custom of the said Manor All that Cottage or Tenement with all the Lands thereunto belonging containing by estimation One acre and an half or thereabouts formerly in the occupation of John Crouch and late of John Carman situate lying and being within and held of the said Manor by the yearly Rent of Six pence Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services And all the Estate right Title Interest Use Trust Property Possession Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Philip Gyles of into or out of the said Cottage or Tenement Lands and Premises (Which said Hereditaments and premises on the Twelfth day of September One thousand eight hundred and six were Surrendered Conditionally by the said Philip Gyles to the said Thomas Waterer for securing the repayment of the principal Sum of Fifty pounds which now remains due and owing) To the only Use and Behoof of the said Thomas Waterer his heirs and assigns for ever Provided always And upon this Condition Nevertheless that if the said Philip Gyles his heirs executors administrators or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas Waterer his executors administrators or assigns the full sum of Twenty pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain (now advanced and lent) together with lawful Interest for the same upon the seventh day of January next ensuing the date of these presents without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever Then this Surrender to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue ~ Philip Gyles ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written By the Acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Deputy Steward ~ Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named Thomas Waterer the Sum of Twenty four pounds being the Consideration Money above mentioned to be paid by him to me ~ Philip Gyles ~ Witness Joseph Hockley ~ £24.”

Be it Remembered that on the Twentieth day of October Our thousand eight hundred and ten James Stevenson otherwise Stimson and Sarah his Wife (the said Sarah being one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor) personally came before Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court And (the said Sarah being first separately examined apart from her said Husband by the Steward aforesaid and Consenting) Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor (in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and eighty five Pounds to them paid by William Eacott late of Chobham but now of Bisley in the County of Surrey Yeoman) by the Rod and Acceptance of the Steward aforesaid All that parcel of Land by estimation Four acres more or less part of a certain parcel of Land late of the said Sarah Stimson containing Five acres or thereabouts heretofore inclosed out of the Common Field called Neltro abutting on Land late of John Goring on the South and on Land late of Henry Millist on the North with the appurtenances in Bisley within this Manor And all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the said James Stevenson otherwise Stimson and Sarah his Wife and each of them of in and to the said Land and Premises hereby surrendered and every part thereof To the only proper and absolute Use and Behoof of the said William Eacott his heirs and assigns for ever ~ James Stevenson otherwise Stimson ~ Sarah Stevenson otherwise Stimson ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written By the Acceptance of me Joseph Pickstone ~ Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named William Eacott the Sum of Two hundred and eighty four pounds being the full Consideration Money for our making the above Surrender to him. ~ James Stevenson otherwise Stimson ~ Sarah Stevenson otherwise Stimson ~ Witness Joseph Pickstone ~ £285.”

Be it Remembered that on the Twenty fifth day of January in the year of our Lord Our thousand eight hundred and eleven Hannah Collyer of Bisley (late the Wife and now the Widow of John Collyer late of Horsell in the said County Laborer deceased) one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor personally came before Joseph Hockley Gentleman Deputy of Joseph Pickstone Gentleman Chief Steward of the Courts of the said Manor out of Court And (in Consideration of the Sum of Eighty pounds of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency to her paid by William Collyer of Knaphill in the parish of Horsell in the said County of Surrey Yeoman) Hath Surrendered And by these presents Doth Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and Acceptance of the said Deputy Steward and according to the Custom of the said Manor All that Messuage called Cumbers with the Buildings Garden Orchard and Land to the said Messuage adjoining containing by estimation One acre be the same more or less with the appurtenances situate lying and being in the parish of Bisley and within this Manor formerly the Estate of James Miles (To which said premises the said Hannah Collyer was admitted Tenant at a Special Court Baron holden for the said Manor on the Twelfth day of June One thousand eight hundred and nine on the Surrender of Joshua Longley) And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof And all the state right title interest property possession claim and demand whatsoever of her the said Hannah Collyer of in to or out of the same and every or any part thereof To the only proper Use and Behoof of the said William Collyer his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the said Manor provided always and upon this Condition Nevertheless That if the said Hannah Collyer her heirs executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said William Collyer his executors administrators or assigns the full and just Sum of Eighty pounds together with Interest after the rate of Five pounds for one hundred pounds for a year of lawful money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland of English value and Currency upon the twenty fifth day of July next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement to be made or taken out of the same on any account whatsoever and without fraud or further delay Then this Surrender to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue ~The mark of X Hannah Collyer ~ This Surrender was taken the day and year first above written By the Acceptance of me Joseph Hockley Deputy Steward, in the presence of William Tayler J.r ~ Received the day and year first above written of and from the above named William Collyer the Sum of Eighty pounds being the full Consideration Money above mentioned for my making the above Surrender to him. ~ The mark of X Hannah Collyer ~ Witness William Tayler J.r ~ £80.”
[Margin note: Be it remembered that on the twelfth day of October One thousand eight hundred and thirty five William Collyer of Knaphill in this Surrender named Did acknowledge that he had that day had and received of and from William Collyer of Bisley (Son of the above named Hannah Collyer) in whom the Premises mentioned in this Surrender had then become vested the full sum of Eighty one Pounds in full satisfaction and discharge of all principal and Interest Monies and all demands due on this Surrender And the said William Collyer of Knaphill did by writing under his hand of that date authorize and empower the Steward of this Manor to enter his acknowledgement of having received such satisfaction upon the Court Rolls or Books of the said Manor accordingly. At this Court came here into Court in his proper person James Trigg one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor And in Consideration of the Sum of Five hundred and fifty pounds to him paid by Isaac Gosden of the parish of Chobham in the County of Surrey Farmer) Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and Acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All those his two undivided Moieties or equal half parts the whole into two equal parts being divided or considered as divided of and in All that one piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Widecroft Common Field and containing by estimation Four acres And also all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Southearsh Common Field and containing by estimation one acre And also all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Palmers Field and containing by estimation one acre and an half And also all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Burcroft Common Field containing by estimation Two acres And also all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Burne Mead and containing by estimation one acre within and held of the said Manor Together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same pieces or parcels of Land belonging To the only Use and Behoof of the said Isaac Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever Now at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said Isaac Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to one Moiety or equal half part of and in the said several pieces or parcels of Land called or known by the several names of Widecroft Common Field Southearsh Common Field Palmers Field Burcroft Common Field and Burne Mead in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Isaac Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of One shilling and seven pence halfpenny Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in Form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for such his admittance as appears after And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court came here into Court in his Proper person the said Isaac Gosden and humbly prayed to be admitted Tenant to the other Moiety or equal half part of and in the said several pieces or parcels of Land called or known by the several names of Widecroft Common Field Southearsh Common Field Palmers Field Burcroft Common Field and Burne Mead in pursuance of the said Surrender To whom the Lord of the Manor aforesaid by his Steward aforesaid granted the same and delivered Seizin thereof by the Rod To hold to the said Isaac Gosden his heirs and assigns for ever by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor by the yearly apportioned rent of One shilling and seven pence halfpenny Heriot when it shall happen Suit of Court and other Services and Customs therefore formerly due and of right accustomed And so he was admitted Tenant thereof in Form aforesaid Gave to the Lord as a Fine for this and his said former admittance as appears in the Margin [£19] And his Fealty was respited.
And again at this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said Isaac Gosden and in Consideration of the Sum of Three Hundred pounds to him paid by the said James Trigg Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All those his two undivided Moieties or equal half parts the whole into two equal parts being divided or considered as divided of and in All those the several pieces or parcels of Land called or known by the several names of Widecroft Common Field Southearsh Common Field Palmers Field Burcroft Common Field and To which he had at this Court immediately before been admitted To the only Use and Behoof of the said James Trigg his heirs and assigns for ever Upon Condition Nevertheless to be void if the said Isaac Gosden his heirs executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Trigg his executors administrators or assigns the full Sum of Three hundred pounds together with lawful Interest for the same on the Twenty fourth day of October now next ensuing

At this Court came here into Court in his proper person the said James Trigg one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of the said Manor And in Consideration of the Sum of Five Hundred and ninety pounds to him paid by John Hone of the parish of Chobham in the said County of Surrey Farmer Surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Rod and by the Acceptance of the Steward aforesaid according to the Custom of the said Manor All those his two undivided Moieties or equal half parts the whole into two equal parts being divided or considered as divided of and in All that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Westwood Field and containing by estimation Four acres And also all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Westwood Mead and containing by estimation Two acres And also all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of Neltro Common Field and containing by estimation Two acres And also all that piece or parcel of land called or known by the name of Butts Field and containing by estimation Two acres and within and held of the said Manor To the only Use and Behoof of the said John Hone his heirs and assigns for ever
