Of the Court Baron.

At this Court the Second Proclamation was made If William Cobbett the Younger or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to All that Tenement with the Appurtenances called Hallers One Wood called Newcroft One Acre of Land called Widecroft Two Acres and an half more or less lying in Great Westwoods Two Acres of Land lying near Palmers Land in South Earsh and One Barn and one Close thereto belonging between Hallers House and Hallers Grove with the Appurtenances in Bisley  And also to all that One Parcel of Land called Longlands containing by Estimation Three Acres more or less in Bisley And also to all that one Parcel of Land called Hallers Grove containing by Estimation three Acres more or less in Bisley  And also all that Parcel of Pasture containing by Estimation Two Acres in Bisley abutting upon the Common Mead called Westburn Mead with the Appurtenances in Bisley aforesaid which came into the hands of the Lord of this Manor on the death of William Cobbett his late Father  Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords hands He She or they should be heard but Nobody came Whereupon the second Proclamation and default as to Each Estate are here Inrolled.

The Homage present that Hester Freeland Widow and Devisee of Henry Freeland one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to her and her assigns for and during the Term of her natural life by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor All that one Messuage or Tenement and three Closes of Land containing by estimation two Acres more or less formerly in the Possession of Henry Hayward Died since the last Court Seized thereof And that on her Death the said Premises descended to Richard Freeland her only Son and next Heir of full age Whereupon at this Court the first Proclamation is made If the said Richard Freeland or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to the said Copyhold Premises Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords hands He She or they should be heard but Nobody came Whereupon the first Proclamation and default as to Each Estate are here Inrolled.

The Homage also present that Sally Thick Widow one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor who held to her and her assigns for and during the Term of her natural life by Copy of Court Roll at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of the said Manor A Customary Messuage or Tenement together with the Barn and all other outbuildings Orchards Gardens Yards Backsides and Appurts thereto belonging formerly in the Tenure of William Johnson or his Assigns And also all those five closes of Copyhold Arable Meadow or Pasture Land containing by estimation Seven Acres more or less in Bisley within the said Manor Died since the last Court Seized thereof And that Sarah Thick an Infant aged about four Years is her only Child and next Heir Whereupon at this Court the first Proclamation is made If the said Sarah Thick or any other Person or Persons who hath or have a right to be Admitted to the said two several Copyhold Estates Would come into Court and take the same out of the Lords hands he She or they should be heard but Nobody came Whereupon the first Proclamation and default as to Each Estate are here Inrolled.

At this Court came into Court in his Proper Person Samuel Suddeby one of the Copyhold or Customary Tenants of this Manor and Surrendered by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor by the Acceptance of the said Deputy Steward according to the Custom of the said Manor All the Estate Right Title Benefit and Equity of Redemption of him the said Samuel Suddeby of in to and out of All that Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Garden thereto belonging containing by estimation One Rood formerly belonging to Blanch Wisdom afterwards to John Robinson Since to Sarah Collyer and late to Sarah the Wife of Henry Collyer To the use and behoof of James Stovold his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the Custom of the said Manor and to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever Provided always nevertheless if the said Samuel Suddeby his Heirs Executor Administrators or Assigns shall and do well and truly Pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Stovold his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full and just sum of Ten pounds together with Interest for the same from henceforth at the rate of  five Pounds for One hundred Pounds for a year of lawful money of Great Britain upon the twenty first day of October next Ensuing the date hereof without making any Deduction or abatement thereout whatsoever That then this Surrender and all other Surrenders of the said Premises made by the said Samuel Suddeby to the use of the said James Stovold be Void and of no Effect.

The Homage also present that since the last Court to wit on the twenty seventh day of October One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty four Philip Gyles the Younger one of the Copyhold Tenants of the Manor of Bisley did out of Court Surrender by the Rod into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor All that his Copyhold Cottage or Tenement and all the copyhold Lands thereunto belonging with all and every their Appurtenances by Estimation one acre and an half more or less late the Estate of George Carman lying and being in the Parish and Manor of Bisley aforesaid To the only use and behoof of such Person or Persons and upon such Conditions as he the said Philip Gyles had or should  in and by his last Will and Testament in Writing direct limit or Appoint the same
