Be it remembered that on the Eighth Day of October in the thirteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c And in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy three The Lord of this Manor by John Chandler Gentleman Steward of the said Manor Did Grant Licence to Mary Higgs Widow a Customary Tenant of the said Manor to demise and let to _______ Dudman of Bisley aforesaid Yeoman All those her three Closes of Land formerly four Closes called Brizes containing by Estimation four Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying and being in the Parish and Manor of Bisley aforesaid for the Term of Twenty one Years from the twenty ninth Day of September One thousand seven hundred and Seventy three Saving Nevertheless and reserving to the said Lord his Heirs and Successors All Fines quit Rents Services and other Duties when and as often as they shall grow due and all ordinary and usual Remedies for the same by Seizure Distress and otherwise in as large and ample Manner to all Intents and Purposes as if this Licence had not been granted.
