Licence to David Roake to Demise Copyhold
Be it remembered that on the fourth day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty one the Lord of this Manor by Joseph Hockley Gentleman Steward of the said Manor did grant Licence to David Roake a Customary tenant of the said Manor to demise and let unto James Healey of Chertsey in the County of Surrey Mercer his executors or assigns  All or any part or parts of the Copyhold or Customary messuages lands tenements and hereditaments of him the said David Roake holden by him of this Manor for any termor number of years not exceeding twenty one years from the twenty ninth day of September last past saving nevertheless and reserving to the said Lord of this Manor his heirs and successors Lord or Lords Lady or Ladies of the said Manor All fines quit rents services and other duties when and so often as they shall grow due and all ordinary and usual remedies for the same by seizure distress and otherwise in as large and ample manner to all intents and purposes as if this Licence had not been granted And the said David Roake gave to the Lord as a fine for this Licence seven shillings.
