LONDON JOINT STOCK BANK IN SURREY


The London Joint-Stock Bank was one of the original joint-stock banks, having been started in 1836. The bank grew substantially through amalgamation and when, in 1918, it was taken over by London Joint, City & Midland Bank it added more than £60 million of deposits. The bank had a handful of branches in Surrey.
